Those colleagues of yours will change their tone when btc will record a new ath again. Am pretty sure they will ask similar question only in that time it will be "do you think it is too late for us to buy".
I can't say I blame their ignorance since they have not find it important to educate themselves about btc. Although I find it utterly ridiculous for people to consider an asset like btc that was traded at $0.1 arond 13 yrs back to $20k at current price to be dead. I wonder how many assets out there has achieved such success within that time frame! Yeah right.

Facts. Well, they always appear when Bitcoin is down and disappear when Bitcoin is up, the cycle is pretty obvious at this point and shouldn't even be bothered to be noticed anymore imo. It isn't even anything like saying that Bitcoin is a bad investment or anything, it's just a diss at some point for people losing money since it dipped down so bad.

In other words IGNORE any information that you do not like, disregard any information that interferes with your dream of becoming rich...

I wouldn't really consider it as such, it's more like the information that most people are asking lined up to basically being FUD which is well, if told to an avid Bitcoin investor, would naturally be ignored. It's just trusting the asset you invested on, just like how old investors trusted the development of the internet hence the investment to google,apple. etc.

Oh yes, I’m holding everything that I could in the current bear market. In fact I’m further trying to buy more bitcoins and I also want to be one of those who were on the train at the right time and at right values. I’m just wishing that I will bag more before the bearish market breaks out and it seems that bitcoin and other coins are doing the same right now. So be careful and buy if you can!

I remember a moment like this happened in 2017 when the price of Bitcoin fell very deeply because of the regulations given by certain countries which made the Bitcoin price even more destroyed because many negative responses about Bitcoin would be extinct because of these regulations, but apparently in the winter of that year Bitcoin price soared and reached ATH at that time so people who still believe and have principles like you will get good results in the future and believe in something it is very expensive and most importantly be yourself and enjoy all these discounts.

Many had made fun of us for the past years especially during the bear market of 2018. They keep blabbering about bitcoin being dead and there's no more hope on it.

If you think 2018 was bad, I can tell you 2015 was worse.  It was the first time almost everyone actually thought Bitcoin was going to die.

Well, true.

If they want to see lower than what happened on 2018 then we'll give them 2015.

It's the same every time bear market comes, they're all negative to it and thought about that it's never going to recover. But thank goodness, despite that it's been down and corrected, it's different this time and sitting on estimating 1/3 from its ATH.

^ Well probably not all FUD is caused by losers there are instances that it will cause by the whales, sometimes they will spread FUD so that losers will be always a losers. Spreading negative feelings about BTC has been there for how many years and that is why FUD has been discovered which is a short abbreviation of FUD - fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Look at the market now, showing a recovery that will probably lead to a bull market, and for sure those who have been in FUD will regret they were sold their BTC at an early stage during the bear market.
Remember always don't sell at a lower price.

The decrease in Bitcoin price and Altcoin prices is still normal. We know that it is in the bearish era, so what to do? Just waiting for the price to rise up in the next bullish era. That is why right now is the era for buying Bitcoin. Moreover, buying on average is good enough to add more Bitcoin. It is not easy to pass this bearish season, but we must do it. We don't need to panic and be losers because we know this bearish must end. If we learn the market cycle every 4 years, we must understand when this bearish to be over.

I remembered back then during my early days of doing Bitcoin, some of my contacts and even friends have unfriended and blocked me because of it. There was a certain “mentor” of a network marketing urging me to stop doing Bitcoin and insteasd focusing on sticking with them. But I didn’t. So he spread it to thousands of members of the team that I am now into “Bitcoin scam” and my relationship with them is over.

But did it stopped me? Nope! I continue my crypto journey and prove them wrong that it gives me a better life until now than before during my days as a network marketer.

As the old saying goes, “When one door closes, another one opens”. I’m just grateful of the crypto community (even here in Bitcointalk) who have been one of my sources of learning so much about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, etc., and has given me opportunities to expand and step up my skills in this space.

Mt. gox?

Still trying to get my money back from mtgox.  Many others are as well.  If there were a reason to be pessimistic about the Bitcoin price, it would be that coming event.  When mtgox victims are eventually given the 200,000+ BTC sitting around waiting for them, I suspect it will lead to a massive selloff of BTC on the market.  This will likely be a short term event, but anyone even considering being overly bullish with leverage right now should be warned that they will likely be liquidated in the coming months.

If Bitcoin returns to the bullish state, most of the Mt. Gox victims will decide to HODL and wait for a higher price, before they sell.
I don't expect a major price crash because of the Mt. Gox customers getting back their coins.
Anyway, I hate being positive for the sake of being positive. I just ignore the FUD and keep HODLing. Almost all the FUD is pure nonsense anyway.
A bunch of shady crypto companies collapsed and the BTC haters keep insisting that BTC is a scam. It doesn't make any sense.
It's like JP Morgan Chase going bankrupt and everyone saying that the US dollar is a scam. There's no correlation between those two.
The stock markets are in a price drop/bearish phase as well, but nobody is spreading FUD about stocks being a big scam and that they are going to collapse down to zero.

Just a few days ago, I watched the interview of my country's incoming central bank governor. He belittled Bitcoin. He finds Bitcoin absurd, based on the greater fool theory. My feeling of superiority was somehow boosted and I was smiling inside while watching the cretin.

Well, I just hope this Bitcoin hubris of mine will prove me right in the end. If not, everybody's free to laugh at me.

In time like this. I usually buy in DCA method while turning off all the notification for my social media and news site so I can’t see any news about Bitcoin. I literally disconnected to the crypto so that my decision on buying will not be affcted by FUD. I just keep on buying and buyin using part of my salary at my job and save my signature campaign salary until Bitcoin finally recover. I don't want to miss the next bull run so I will grab this opportunity to buy below 100k.

I would suggest that bitcointalk is also crypto related, so you might want to stay away from here as well . But, I get the idea, I am not really staying away because seeing all those people who do FUD really helps me love bitcoin even more. Makes me feel like I am seeing something that others can't see and that is why I love it so much.

I mean it is like there is this hidden gem that nobody appreciates, and you know it is true value, and when it goes up in value and everyone wants a piece of it, you feel validated and relieved that it wasn't something crazy and you really did know what the real value of it was and you were the one that made profit from it the most.

I agree that it is not going to be that difficult, it will probably be reaching to a level where it is 100k+ or more, and people who are buying right now are the people who have been around for a long time. I have been trying to make a profit for a while now, and I know for a fact that all the coins I bought right now, will be giving me a good profit not long from now. It's the only thing that keeps me happy during a bear market.

Let's be honest and say that it's not a reason to be happy to see crypto going down all the time, of course it's going to be a sad affair. But to know that we are going to end up with a good profit later on keeps us from getting even more upset.

There are and those people are also like you that are not new here anymore in this market. It's not that you guys are smart and they are dumb but it's just you have more experienced on this field.

You already know what bitcoin went through so despite of the crashing of its price and the entire crypto market, you still remain calm and in control of the situation. For now you are smiling because you think the central bank governor of your country knows nothing about bitcoin but what if eventually he will recommend to completely ban the use of bitcoin and cryptos in your country? I don't think you can still smile after that.

One thing I've come to discover is that most people that hate bitcoin didn't hate it because they really want to, but because they missed buying it when it was way cheaper, now out of jealously and envy, they wish Bitcoin to fail so they can laugh at those that are holding it and say "I told you so".
They are always disappointed when bitcoin begins to rise that they have no choice but to hide their faces in shame, but when the price starts declining, they come out from their hiding holes to chare their ego.
Bitcoin is here to stay, if you are a hodler no matter how small, Congratulations, you are over 1 million steps ahead of many who are yet to Come on board.
When bitcoin finally hits $100,000 usd and above, I will to see the faces of those that are fudding it right now.

It does take time as well as a certain experience with crypto to understand that any negative news about BTC is most likely FUD.

It is more difficult for some people to deal with negative news about BTC when they come as some sort of "a valuable and thoughtful" opinion which comes from people with a strong reputation in finances. Just bear in mind that everyone is entitled to have his opinion and you dont have to accept it. Moreover, some of the people sharing such an opinion have whats called "a financial interest" which means that their opinion not only biased but serves their own interest.

That's exactly the point and like I said earlier, lets not forget to remind all those new investors about the point that some advanced investors spread FUD to lower BTC price. Unfortunately, its the reality and we all have to deal with it.

They hate Bitcoin and they hate people who put risk their money and that was because they don't understand crypto and they are not even willing to accept that they are wrong with their assumptions. They of course simply throw negativity just to discourage people and to go along with them but somehow, only a fool will listen to them, many will try and be somewhat happy with the output.

It is not a surprise, it is to imply that only risk-takers will find good deeds in crypto investment, not meant for everybody.
