I'm a gambler,I accept,but I'm not an addict.I am not addicted to the game because I know the implications  and what will be the outcome if I gamble continuously to the extend that I am addicted to it.The reason I gamble atimes is simply to solve immediate financial issues that I face at that time,if not,I don't like gambling,and I don't like the fact that I gamble atimes too.
Most of the people who gamble and turn addicts today were not intending to be a shareholder in gambling,they only felt they will do it to gratify their immediate problems,but they turn out becoming addicted to it.Therefore,if I gamble,I gamble knowing that addiction is bad,and am very cautious in doing that.

Haha, "Fish" can be also called "Recreational", right? That's what I'm doing when losing, anyway, "I've had my fun and that's all that matters.", right?

All these categories are conditional. If you think like that, then the fish can be a professional. A man spent his money and got what he wanted - fun. 100% success. This is clearly a professional 

I didn't think of that, but, jokes aside, indeed, if you are not an idiot, it's not that easy to have fun spending only $5-$10 on that. You have to be a pro for that. (By "idiot" I mean someone who's always happy, no matter what.)

And to specifically answer the OP, sometimes I'm a winning player, sometimes I'm a losing player.  

So, using the OP's Seven Types of Gamblers, sometimes you are a Professional Gambler, and other times you are a Casual Social Gambler. But, if seriously, I would combine 2 types from the list, "Casual Social Gamblers" and "Relief and Escape Gamblers" because it's always both, for me, at least, "relieving stress" and "managing causes of stress".

I would not confuse these two categories - there is too much negativity in the second (in the definition), they are rather close to drug addicts.

I personally don't see any negativity in the word "Relief", but I agree that escaping reality isn't a good thing in general. What I meant was that by managing causes of stress with gambling you are doing the same as a casual social gambler when he/she is using gambling for recreation - it's managing causes of stress, isn't it?

Gambling has costed me and my friends a huge loose so we have stopped gambling and we are more into productive activities - trying to avoid alcohol and gambling both. It kills if done in excess.

We have those scenarios in our lives that we've witnessed people close to us that have lost a lot of money due to gambling. We know how it looks like and the feeling can also be there because we've seen them face to face on how they've reacted. If we're the casual type, yeah, thank goodness that we're like that and we don't have to exert that much effort in recovering all of our losses because it's known that we've done it for entertainment purpose. But, it cannot be removed that there goes the ones that are professional and gambling for living.

That's great if you can realize it and I'm sure from your previous experience that gambling has had negative consequences for you. After getting a negative experience from gambling, you should be able to avoid gambling and alcohol because I'm sure you certainly don't want to have a negative experience a second time. This will be tough for you as gambling and alcohol can make you more tempted to return. But I'm sure you can handle it well.

I have learnt a lesson from my next door neighbour who was an addicted gambler and an alcohol addict the way he used to return home at dawn was so bad.
My family is very religious - we use to get up for prayers and used to pray for him . . but he passed away due to intestinal cancer and there was huge debt on him.

I don't take gambling as too serious because I have other means in which I make money. Gambling is not meant to be taken too seriously because we can lose money anything if we are too greedy or too money conscious. Gambling is supposed to be taken light and not too serious just like as many of us used to see it. Lucky comes to us anything so winning a bet is not always certain.

Gambling is really for entertainment and thats the sole purpose of it on why its been created but it just on the person on how they do treat it off on where they do really come into a  certain extent on where they

are really crossing the border line on where they are really that much believing that gambling could make them rich on an instant.Well, yes it does really give out that kind of chance but dont let yourself to believe

Same here, and actually that's really common here and the poll shows that 53.7% of the users here in this forum are more of casual social gamblers than the others specified by the OP. That said, I only gamble rarely and if I gamble, I'm just there to entertain myself and not seeing gambling activities as a way to generate money. If at the end of the day I'm winning then that's just a bonus for me as I only seek entertainment.

Initially I fall in the category of Compulsive Gamblers but with a lot efforts I was able to get myself out in this category and it wasn't easy though but now base on what I have read from this thread base on the explanations you made here ,I now fall in the category of professional gambler because they said experience is the best teacher, I'm into more of the business side now than before.
With this thread it also shows that gamblers can equally shift phases i.e from one category of gambler to another one, due to my own experience with gambling.

Yup, we're somehow lucky because we had the right mindset so that we won't get addicted. As for my situation, I just had enough of myself about these activities and had to experience some lessons that is why I've become a casual social gambler. Not a good situation but I'm glad that I managed to get out and now, I just gamble whenever I had a time but it's not my priority when I'm seeking entertainment because I found a new hobby so that I can have a safe distance when it comes to gambling.

Most of your classification seemed to have focus more on an offline gambling platforms. Like the physical casinos and all. Could it be that all the classifications as at above don't apply in everywhere, like for the one casinos because, I don't see anyone meeting new people there as is the case with Casual gamblers.

I think what goes more for me is the social gambler. I don't gamble much and when I do, it's simply me trying my luck with the odds and seeing how well I have known the game or can predict a match. Although, the desire to win is always there but, its okay if I loose and I've got no time to try winning my money back.

But don't tell me that you are just having fun in gambling and you don't mind if you lose big. Gambling can be fun but what makes us to gamble more is the gain that is there. The constant profits we keep making is what makes many of us to take gambling more seriously than other things. We are all interested in making more money so everyone goes into gambling nit just for the fun but for the money. Gambling looks like an easy ways to double our funds without much risk.

Gambling with small bets or money is not really significant to be gambling, only sometimes when I want to gamble, not a daily activity routine.

When you do lose an amount which you are really that willing for it to lost or gone wont really be making out some significant emotional reaction for you as a gambler since you are already anticipating it but we cant really

Not in the whole forum but the majority who voted in the poll is more of a casual gambler which means that almost all of us here had the right mindset when it comes to gambling activities. Winning is a good thing to experience but even in that situation, it's highly suggested that we must keep our boundary and try not to cross it so that we won't regret something in the end.

that is very correct - setting the boundaries in life and gambling and even in every stage of life is very important.
Loosing hard earned money with your own hands is like burning money with your own hands. Lets get a bit more serious toward life and set the boundaries straight.
