The Premier League starts in a month's time on the 6th of August so you have until then to pay the entry fee but please pay as soon as you can. I may give a week or two grace period to pay if you can't pay by the start of the season but a month should be enough time. You can sign-up to Superbru now and you can always join the pool at a later date and your scores will carry over. If you're unfamiliar with how the tournament works please see the previous thread here, but basically we will be using the Superbru website which is free and easy to use. You input your score predictions for every game and you get 3 points for predicting the exact score, 1 for the correct outcome (win, lose or draw) and 1.5 for a close prediction. The winner will obviously be the person who gets the most points at the end of the season.

Sportsbet.io are sponsoring the pool again and have put BTC0.2 into the pot along with offering a free $50 bet to every weekly winner who scores the most points that round so that's 38 chances to win a free $50 bet. Big thanks to jeremypwr and Sportsbet for sorting that out. As usual, 100% of the money received will be split between the top ten placed users at the end of the season. The first place jackpot prize will be a guaranteed 0.1BTC and then the rest of the money will be split between 2nd-10th places. If we get 50 users signing up that will be a further 0.125 in the pot so there should be over 0.3 in total. 48 users joined last season so we should be able to get 50+ this year especially as the sponsorship pot has doubled. There will also be a small consolation prize for the person who gets the highest overall weekly round score so even if it becomes clear as the tournament progresses that you're unlikely to win a paid spot you still have a chance of winning something along with the $50 weekly round free bet.

If we can find a better site I'd consider changing. It's a shame you can't set your own points system as I think getting the exact score should get you 5 points. That's how it used to be on the old BBC site but they closed it. Other than that Superbru is perfectly fine for me.

Agreed! 5 points for exact score would make a world of difference IMO, as well as make possible comebacks more thrilling but.. It is good otherwise although I may not entirely agree with the "close" scoring system. Just minor complaints though!

Also I know what I just PM'd you but I'll just announce it here now: I've sent 4x payments to the address which means I'm freerolling 3 people who can commit to the full season and try this out - I want to see some new faces! Not sure how the decision process will work but.. Feel free to post your interest in this thread or send me a pm and I'll sort it out with hilariousandco. This means I'd prefer not to freeroll any of the regulars who join in every season anyways

Yeah, you should prohibit any of the regulars or anyone who has already said they will play so we can get 50+ users. I'd like to see the pool grow in numbers season to season which they have done so far.

I would like to try this out and take one of the freerolls ticket if that's cool with you, I have never enrolled in any past events, I'm a big fan of the premiere league so I'm really looking forward for this one and see how i can perform.

You got the merits for free-rolling new people. Just wanted to point it out since I quite like Superbru and actually prefer 3 points for correct score way more than 5. If you raise points for correct score you are just giving it all to lady luck. I feel like close scores actually reward knowledge to the maximum and would like to see them rewarded more.

Yes anyone can join as long as they pay the fee. There are a couple of people who don't use this forum that play.

I've been here for three or four seasons, and in the last, I take place in the top 10.
I'm not sure about my participation though, mostly for the reason that it significantly affects my enjoyment of watching PL. For example, I picked Liverpool to win against Southampton, which is to be expected. while for me, it's more fun to see the other way around, Saints to beat scousers.
I guess I will join in at the beginning, but I will need more time for the final decision

5 points for an exact score it's too much. it is a win for the one who really has the most luck, I would say that according to the current method of calculation, some skill of prediction is still expected.
I know that at some point I had the most "close score" results, but still, I was in the middle of the table. 3 points eluded me for a late goal, which did not reflect the course of the match.

I know igehhh and he very knowledgeable of the league from what was posted on the sportsbetting rev thread last season on the foxes and chelsea.

I think we are used to Superbru because in these last couple of years we have only used it,the score and the points I think are fair enough to give everyone joining this pool an equal chance.

Of course I will be part of this one and once I sent you the money,will message you the transaction id.I guess we all have time up to a couple of days before that 6 August which can be a perfect coincidence for me,paying near that day,most probably on 3 August.I may pay earlier though,to see and to do.

Right, when I receive this link from hilariousandco, I'm going to put all my predictions down either today or by the latest on the weekend. Therefore, I shouldn't be donating anything this season. I'll likely adjust them as time goes on, but this is just my contingency just in case I do the usual Welsh thing to do, and forget.

My one objective this season is to not get the wooden spoon, we'll see how well that goes.

I'm fine with Superbru, but I have nothing against looking for other options. Agree that exact predictions should be rewarded better. I tried to look for similar websites like Superbru, but seems there is barely any good alternatives available.
