So, I submited predictions, answered bonus questions and trying to get familiar with Kicktipp website. I also turned on email notifications to get prediction reminder just in case. Now just waiting for start of season.

You have a really good point here. Who can be the top scorer this season?. Sadio Mane maybe can have a chance?. Dortmund substitute for Haaland cant play sorry for Haller and his health problem.

Or can we have a surprise from another team? Maybe Nkunku or Andre Silva, or a more bigger surprise?

It was an emphatic win from Bayern Munich, I actually expected them to struggle a bit which was I went for the 3-1, but it could have been double digits. I know it still just game 1 of the season, but Bayern doesn't look depleted at all and they might not even feel the absence of Lewandowski after all.

No one seems to manage to predict the correct score of this first game and all the players(19) except 2 who've predicted a draw, received not more than 2 points. Even Ulven who have predicted the correct number of goals (7) and a large victory of Bayern(2-5), only received 2 points.

Since Lewandowski is out (who has been a safe bet in recenty years), it's getting more difficult this season.
Most likely the best scorer will come from a team, where usually many goals are scored, so my bets are at FCB again. Their 6 goals from today against Frankfurt are already a good start, whoever will be their top scorer (most likely Mané).

Yeah, Bayern sent the message to title contenders from the get go. I was a little surprised at odds of over @1.5 on Bayern victory. Took that bet without even thinking about it. Also had both to score on another ticket but that one has made me sweat a little.

Did not watch the game since PL started as well but just from the stats I can see it was total dominance and plenty of attacking solutions for Bayern.

the same procedure every year/season. bayern demoralizes all opponents and can actually only beat themselves through their own mistakes and the other favorites take away the points from each other. 
i'm curious about today's games and of course also about the picks from our non-german participants. 
Ulven was very close to the 4 points yesterday with his 2-5 pick...

I think the Kicktipp close scores grading system is very flawed, it's not the same thing as that of SuperBRU (which I still consider to be fairer) or maybe I'm not accustomed to it yet, but I find it weird that 1-0 is considered as close score to 2-1, but 2-0 isn't, same goes for 2-1 being considered as a close score for 3-1, but 3-0 isn't, and the worse of them all would be 3-2 considered as close result for 1-0, and 1-1 isn't considered as a close result for 2-2 and vice versa ?? Really ??

I think the Kicktipp close scores grading system is very flawed, it's not the same thing as that of SuperBRU (which I still consider to be fairer) or maybe I'm not accustomed to it yet, but I find it weird that 1-0 is considered as close score to 2-1, but 2-0 isn't, same goes for 2-1 being considered as a close score for 3-1, but 3-0 isn't, and the worse of them all would be 3-2 considered as close result for 1-0, and 1-1 isn't considered as a close result for 2-2 and vice versa ?? Really ??

As I understand, only the Goal Difference is taken into account. 1-0 has the same goal difference as 2-1, i.e. one more goal for the home team while 2-0 represents 2 more goals for it.
But I don't think anyone would earn 3 points for predicting 2-1 instead of 3-1 (+1 instead of +2). People could win 2 points if they predicted the victory of the home team, but they won't get the 3 points. I didn't see such a thing in the current leaderboard at least.

with these numbers, Bayern can have two top goal-scorers this season

Most likely, yes.
The most important thing is Bayern's competition: I can't see anyone from Dortmund being a top scorer this season because Haller will be playing later again for sure and won't be able to compete for top scorer since he is missing matches now.
Bayern usually scores tons of goals, Dortmund coming second and last round, Leverkusen and Leipzig were quite strong. I don't see them scoring as many goals as last season and that's why Dortmund and Bayern are most likely the teams for top scorers:

Most likely, yes.
The most important thing is Bayern's competition: I can't see anyone from Dortmund being a top scorer this season because Haller will be playing later again for sure and won't be able to compete for top scorer since he is missing matches now.

Of course, I see Bayern winning (again) and it's likely to be with a higher margin as last season. 

This shows that it was quite the Lewandowski thing at Bayern München. Apart from the fact that City has now Haaland, they also had the best offense for the last six years or so and not the best goal scorer for a single time. The last time was Agüero in 14/15 despite being the best offense by far for so many years. This year Bayern is very similar to Manchester City when they didn't have a Haaland like offender. I believe it'll be a team that is more reliant on a single offender, like Leverkusen  with Schick. Dortmund and Haller could have worked out, but as you said Haller is sick for quite some time. So in Dortmund I really don't see a player scoring 25 goals. But I don't see a 30 goal scorer this season anyway. Bayern will score the most goals, no doubt, and that raises the chance to also produce the best goal scorer, but it's still different this season in my opinion as there is no Lewandowski like player.

I totally agree with you. Superbru is also criticised on the forum from time to time. But I think that the grading system here is much worse than that. Still it wasn't surprising for me as I knew what kind of a grading system kicktipp was using before the season started and before I made my predictions.

I totally agree with you. Superbru is also criticised on the forum from time to time. But I think that the grading system here is much worse than that. Still it wasn't surprising for me as I knew what kind of a grading system kicktipp was using before the season started and before I made my predictions.

As someone said earlier that was they used is the goal difference margin to award the 3 points, I think it is better to award high points for the correct result and scrap that score difference point totally, I see no sense in someone getting 3 points for a 1-0 prediction if the final score line is 5-4.

I guess I'll just put that into consideration when making my picks since I had no idea prior. It will be better to go for one goal margin when some isn't so sure about an outcome.

Btw, Leipzig currently being held to a 1-1 draw by Stuttgart as we are into the final minute isn't something I saw coming, even though they're playing away from home I thought they'd be able to secure all 3 points.

The battle for the top scorer award could get even more exciting:

Borussia Dortmund just signed ex FC Köln goal scorer Anthony Modeste and RB Leipzig buys back Timo Werner from FC Chelsea. Crazy! These are pretty interesting developments that were extremly hard to predict. Now it could become even more likely that the top scorer will not play for FC Bayern this season. Hm, can I change my prediction?
