Bitcoin has been with us in the last ten years or so and will continue to exist for many years. It's completely unreasonable. It is a mix of misunderstanding and wrong information.
Bitcoin block rewards will become 0 only in about 2140. And even then, mining should not stop since the miners also receive the transaction fees (they receive those now too!)

So the year is wrong, the mining/block reward is misunderstood, hence 2025 is just a random date. And it's so close, the chances Bitcoin die off this fast are small.

I don't know if what event btc will have on 2025 but I know that there was a halving on 2024. The price can surely dumped after that but that is not enough for bitcoin to die. Say it's bullshit, you can't fully believe that it will happen to bitcoin in 2025. Bitcoin will still be mined to max supply, but until then we don't really know what will happen. But for sure, I think bitcoin will still be traded and this investment will last longer.

I also heard that statement last 2017 and in 2018 that Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. 4 years after it was said, Bitcoin is still here and it's price is going higher and higher. Many declared Bitcoin dead a few years ago but it is still here. What does that imply? As long as there are supporters and investors of Bitcoin, it will still be here.

There might be a chance that your brother is a newbie and mostly heard negative comments online with regards to Bitcoin and it's completely understandable for me knowing that he is a newbie. Although it is a new asset and unpopular with governments, saying it will die is unlikely. With 13 years of development, acceptance and widespread use, I cannot imagine the prospect of bitcoin dying even if the government denies its existence.
Many predict 2025 will be the time when bitcoin hits new ATH, you and your brother should learn about bitcoin now so as not to miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a highly discounted price. Your chances will still be in 2025 but it will be much smaller than it is now.

That's true. Taxation serves to be a big problem. Initially the governments mentioned the pseudo anonymous feature as the reason for not regulating bitcoin. There is no doubt that bitcoin's future is in doubt, but it is probably not quite accurate to say that the government won't bother with bitcoin at all. Bitcoin does not see the government as the enemy but the government seems to see bitcoin as the enemy. The threat I guess is taxation. Any currency would do, if I'm not mistaken, as long as the government of that certain country will benefit on its usage but since cryptos are in blockchain, governments are somehow afraid of the tendencies people will avoid taxes which governments believe, will affect country's economy. That is right. There is no guarantee about what’s going to happen but we all know that it won't be an easy thing, it will take a while before people realize how serious bitcoin could become. The threat I guess is taxation. Or maybe it will stay with us until we reached 'when almost all the bitcoin has been mined', or at least 99% of it.  Currently out of 21 million we are in the 19 million ++,  so in the next 2-3 halvings, we might get a picture of it. The last 1% will be mined until 2140 give or take, and so we will not see that in our life time. So that will be a good gauge how bitcoin, it is can survived or not.

Isnt the point that BTC has a set schedule and so its more certain then the unknown politically driven major currencies of the world.  We've seen FIAT paper undermined by the policies of the last few decades to no good effect, the idea being destroying the currency base was less of a negative then allowing unemployment to happen or whatever negative event in the economic cycle would otherwise happen with higher debt and currency value.
   Theres a hidden mine of volatility in currency now because of this false debt buying via QE that will collapse like a sinkhole; plainly volatility will spike making all major currencies will also collapse in their certainty.
