While listening to your brother, you should also ask him some questions:

a) Why it will happened?
b) Why Bitcoin will not able to hold it's own position or what exactly he meant for "position"?
c)  How sure he was on his speculation?
d) Where did he get that idea? From his own or to just another speculators.
e) Or just explain everything....

Sorry but I don't considered your brother's prediction as reasonable statement. It's true that bitcoin's future is uncertain but knowing how the progress is that bitcoin achieved, it's unrealistically that bitcoin will just died. Bitcoin already experiences lots of ups and downs but still, standing strong. The fall of bitcoin is also a fall of the whole crypto.

Does 10+ years or a decade plus isnt enough to say that Bitcoins future was bright and does show off its potential? For sure it would be enough and into those upcoming years or decades to come.

I guess there are people that still going to question bitcoin, no matter what. Or maybe they have the stocks in mind, wherein it ha run for decades already if not for centuries. So 10+ for them is fairly young, but we have proven that we can go on the next 10 years and still be standing here, even with a lot of challenges in hand, like government regulations, the argument that bitcoin mining has impacted the environment, criminals using crypto and others. But it is ok, in 2025, we might be having a new all time high, like 6 digits will be the standards.

These people who are spreading negativity don’t know how Bitcoin and market works. Instead of panic selling if they had hold the Bitcoins for a little longer period then definitely they would have been satisfied by the price.

No offense or disrespect but what proofs does your elder brother have? Did he time traveled or what like that Reddit guy? Or did he secretly invented a quantum computer in hopes of mining all 21 million so quickly? Bitcoin would still exist even if all of it would be mined by 2140.

I think they should be aware that bitcoin is not the safest place without any risk. The future is debatable, but can't you convince people that in the last decade bitcoin has had a more robust network than it was in its early years?

We will know the answer when we get there. But where did your brother get all those information? I bet he is only guessing, and has not hardly done any single research or investigation into bitcoin. I could still remember in 2016 and early 2017 people were saying bitcoin can never cross $5000 and a friend of my sold his bitcoin for $750 thinking that what people are saying is true but only to see bitcoin over $19000 in the same 2017!  but the technology in which Blockchain is of course in the future will be very helpful and will be very useful,

What you said is true but unfortunately, now people are getting involved in investing in bitcoin because of its rise in price, very few people are interested in the technology and the real value that bitcoin will bring us.

It's true, what is going to happen if bitcoin prices do not continue to rise and become a stable asset? Many people will give up and look for something else to invest in, only a few will stay to use bitcoin because of the benefits it brings.

That's a sad thing. I mean bitcoin is such a great technology that it allowed me to live my life the way I am living right now, all thanks to the tech behind it. You don't have to worry too much though once you stay longer in the market everything will make sense to you someday. That 4-year cycle is actually the time when Bitcoin start halving and you know why the price starts pumping it's because the supply is getting halves plus there's a higher demand.

Well, we can't get too confident in this market since the risk is still present and it's high but people still invest in it though as if the risk isn't present already. And I think it's okay if we feel uncertainty with the market sometimes because that's how it is.

You cannot compare bitcoin to something that has existed and is recognized for hundreds of years like gold. Bitcoin is very new compared to all that and it takes time for bitcoin to grow and prove itself.
Because the future of bitcoin is unclear, so it is an opportunity, don't wait until everything is clear, it is no longer an opportunity. If everything is clear then I think people will invest in bitcoin without thinking and hesitating and then there is no chance, as with gold today.
