I don't know if it's right to say this, but I've seen some popular accounts on Twitter talk about the $20,000 target in the long run. Ethereum has revolutionized the cryptocurrency industry with its smart contract feature. If you ask me, it definitely deserves to be $20,000, but I don't find it right to talk about such prices. We need to talk more realistic prices.

It's a huge number for ETH, if ETH hits 20k$ then I think btc will hit 500k$ or more and it will take a very long time to achieve, maybe 10 years or more. But the question is that the ETH merge is still controversial and the possibility of a fork being created during this merge event. I think ETH will have a long way to go to prove that moving to POS is the right decision. The future of ETH remains uncertain after the move to POS.

If you are seeing from quarter chart and you will be seeing if it was also increasing drastically from below 1k to the 2k in a month. You need to visit CMC again and see the chart correctly but yeah new ATH is too good to be true right now I hope people will realize if there was no chance for ethereum to go far like that. Ethereum is facing a good price progress and you are wrong about that.

It is difficult in the near future to achieve ATH for Ethereum, because the market reaction has not shown bullish in the near future, the habit of achieving ATH is very dependent on how bitcoin reacts, although not all of them are the same way, meaning if the market starts showing a positive reaction and some coins start to rise, then it is possible ATH achievement will occur. While it is true that a lot of people have their reservations about proof of stake coins at this point it is impossible for the ethereum developers to take a step back, and while I think it is going to increase the popularity of ethereum during the short term I also think that it is not going to be good for them over the long term.

The miners will have no option but to leave, and many people that believe that decentralization is key for the development of a coin will simply leave ethereum as well, maybe they will still use their money to trade ethereum and try to speculate with it, but they will have no interest in holding ethereum for the long term.

Possible, but not so realistic currently. That is like a prediction for Bitcoin to reach 6 digit figure (though Bitcoin is much closer to it). There will be a right time for that to happen. Though we can't blame these people for being to optimistic as we all consistently witnessed how ETH has improved their project every year, but there are also these people who's just hyping things up for their own personal gain, especially in Twitter.

It is this circumstance that can negatively affect the price of ETH after the merger. Thus, all cryptocurrency exchanges will become the largest validators, respectively, the network will become more centralized. Though we can't blame these people for being to optimistic as we all consistently witnessed how ETH has improved their project every year, but there are also these people who's just hyping things up for their own personal gain, especially in Twitter.

I believe that when we turn into PoS then we could see 20k. Because, by that time we would probably be in a bull run which would mean that the price would go up and that alone is a good enough reason that we could see 10k probably. Secondly when we turn, miners who mine ethereum will end up not mining it, it will be rewarded for "holding" it and that means people will want to buy as much as possible and hold it instead of sell it.

This should increase the price to 20k or at least increase it to a high level even if it fails to do it for 20k. That’s the important topic here and that’s why I believe that being bullish on ETH is not a wrong move to do right about now.

The price of ETH has fallen drastically to this day since it touched $2000 a few days ago and I think the price speculation is still unpredictable considering the bear market hasn't really gone away, so I just took ETH below the price of $1500 waiting for it to recover to $3000 after the merge

The next ATH target of $10 is not high because in the previous ATH cycle some people assumed it was difficult to reach $3k but in fact every ATH price is very high. So it's definitely $10k for potential new ATH but it will take a few years to hit the highs.

Why not? it almost reach $5,000 during the last bull run if I'm not mistaken, and that will be just x2 of it so it's very possible that it can be touch. Specially that they have this merger in the horizon, as it almost push the price to $2,000 and maybe next month when it will be roll out, it could hit $2,000++ for that big news.

So the potential is there, as we all know that Ethereum is the prime mover as far as altcoin market is concern. It will just take patience a lot of them as the next bull run might be in two years, 2024-2025.

ethereum is the king of altcoins, and its potential to hit new ATH is huge indeed. however, some of the factors that might hinder this development are the fees which are quite expensive. however, once this is done, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of people going back to the ether blockchain, and that could push the price of ethereum even higher. especially if it is added to the bull market. the potential to reach a new ATH will definitely be even greater.
