I've been using passwordsgenerator .net for ages, but had been offline for a few months. Today I found it's back online here
IMO it's the most complete tool out there and it's also safe since all passwords are generated client-side.

What do you use?

I've been using passwordsgenerator.DUMB and RISKY.net for ages, but had been offline for a few months. Today I found it's back online at https://password-gen.DUMB and RISKY.com
IMO it's the most complete tool out there and it's also safe since all passwords are generated client-side.
Why would you ever trust a website if you can run a local password generator? Even if it's client-side, that can be changed any moment so why risk it?
Warning: I wouldn't just believe it's the same site on a different domain.

The website is clean. Of course you can't monitor every website you use if it gets changed and what it does over the years (especially if it's a large and complex one), but one needs to grant a little trust, otherwise it would be better not to use the Internet at all.

I have used websites for creating passwords. But for every important account, I create my own passwords and save them in a diary.

There is nothing more powerful in generating strong passwords than the human mind. If you really want to do it. The randomization is superb!  Grin

I don’t use any site to generate password, I generate password my self and I think that’s best, I don’t trust any website I generate my password myself and it’s always strong enough that nobody can just tamper with it. Some website might endup selling your details to scammers and some might endup making use of it.

I like to generate my passwords manually. The safest passwords are long, a mix of both upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters. But it doesn't stop there, if you're at all worried about your password getting hacked, you've got to keep them safe. Password management software is essential for this. Alternatively, a free solution such as LastPass can do the trick. It too will store all of your passwords for you, as well as generate strong, unique passwords for each website or service you use.

Or you can simply save them in a notebook. Old but gold method. Not very handy, but quite safe.

I don’t use a website to generate passwords. Creating manual passwords is the best for creating passwords.

My passwords are up to 64 random letters, numbers, and symbols, and I have a different one for each login. I use a password manager to generate and store them. I think that is the best solution.

I don't use anything to generate my password.. I just press anything that comes to my mind and add the rules of the website I'm signing up with to it.
If I'm sitting on a couch.. My passord can be Couchblablabla  Grin. I just always make sure that I back them up on the browser I'm using for reminder sake.

It can sound fun, but I usually use a password generator from Google. It does a good job, I think. And I always write down the password on paper in a diary.

I wouldn’t advise using a third party, it’s asking for trouble. My advice would be choose a complex mix of words & numbers, special characters that mean something to you. A mixture of upper & lower case. Write it down in a couple of places that nobody will find it.
