After several months of intensive reading about the blockchain technology, the time has come to finally start investing. As I have zero experience with investing money, I would like to show you my portfolio and ask you for a feedback / tips / criticism. In generall I have about 1400€ to invest, this money is gaming money for me - Of course I would prefer to win money  So here is my list:

I don't know maybe you need to hear this, I used to hold that Phala network until last month where I switched to Azero, with the little pump from BTC to 25,000$ Azero doubled my investment with ease, and I watched Phala network growing from 0.10$ to 0.14$ only.

You have diversified the folio well, though what I am seeing here is that most of those listed currencies are cheaper and with small cap, yet in the past this is the perfect way of investing but in our time now?

 it isn't the capitalization and the volume that matters but instead the the team and the community support that will make the difference ,.

Congratulations, you have a list of investment coins and now you just have to wait for the market to recover and get the next rally. I can't say much for the list of coins because I don't see the top 10 coins but DOT, which is in 11th place. Apart from that, your other coins are still in the top 100.

But if you can, invest in bitcoin, ethereum, binance coins, which have a greater chance of increasing. Meanwhile, you can be patient to wait and try not to panic.

well yes , those top 100 but cheaper coin are what I am looking in here to bring him best profit in the coming months or at least a year?

You should not target a year when holding your coins, next year is 2023 and I believe that bear market will still be alive, probably starting to get weaker and time flows by, the best time to look into is the next BTC halving, trust me you aren't the only one, even the whales 🐳 knows best.

Don't you like bitcoin and ethereum? They are the most reliable of all. For me, if you are interested in investing a portion of your money in cryptocurrencies, bitcoin is a must, and maybe include also ethereum. It's been proven over the years. Although their potential to multiply your profit is not as high as the other coins but you are also at risk of losing a huge portion of your investment. Some coins even die which means your investment will turn into zero.

Looking further into your portfolio, I also have a small amount of polkadot. I have axie infinity tokens because I own more than a hundred pets but I am doubtful about its future, I don't like what its main dev is doing at the moment. And lastly, I am keeping syscoin on my watchlist because of its sudden movement history. Planning to buy syscoin before the next bitcoin halving.

It is good that the OP divided his money over several coins but I have not heard of at least 50% of them... As some others, I am missing some big coins such as ETH, BNB and offcourse BTC. It is good that this id gaming money but what is your plan? When do you sell or buy?

Same with me. Most on his list are I think new or maybe not new but only unpopular. If that was my money I will prefer to not divide my funds on those coins but I will just stick on a lesser coin but all coins are well known already because I am more sure with them. And yes he missed the important ones.

It is okay if we can't add bnb or eth but btc should always be in every crypto investor's portfolio because this is what drives this market and if they disregard this coin then other coins that they prioritize will hardly move upwards. Even if this is a gambling money, op said that he still expects to make a profit or to not lose it. He already bought the coins but better if he sells them when the bull run returns.

when you want to play with your money and want it of course, you want to bet and win it and of course short time when the market is like this is a solution but if it is a long term investment buying everything and spending it into tokens/altcoins is not a good thing because seeing some friends and realistic information with current prices that the market will plunge very deeply. so it's good to buy in installments with 1-3 altcoins that are definitely brilliant

Hi DjDav. The only one I would buy for sure on your list is IOTA. Gelato maybe but I prefer LINK. Another option you should consider is MATIC because holding it will allow you to get your MAXX finance airdrop. After the free claim round you can stake your MATIC for 10% APY on stader.

when you want to play with your money and want it of course, you want to bet and win it and of course short time when the market is like this is a solution but if it is a long term investment buying everything and spending it into tokens/altcoins is not a good thing because seeing some friends and realistic information with current prices that the market will plunge very deeply. so it's good to buy in installments with 1-3 altcoins that are definitely brilliant

dont buy shitcoin which is have no utilities at all , just pick coins from top 10 or top 50 from coinmarketcap it will give us certainity , although no one could guarantee it will 100% safety. Luna case should be our attention , even top project could crash so how about new project which is still in developtment stages. research on many projects will help us to identify which project worth to invest  and which is not worth or full or risk.

You invested everything in Luna, condolences to you, you will no longer have a chance to get it back. As a lesson here, do not just put your eggs in one basket, but make sure you have many baskets to put them in. That is the most basic principle that you need to keep in mind before investing. Remove Luna from your head and start from scratch with more promising coins, you can just get your lost money back by starting over instead of whining.

That's the risk by investing in the cryptocurrency. There will always be unpredictable thing like luna. people think that luna may become the next ethereum or whatever they called it but it gone just in 2 days. So, anything can down drastically.
You must also remember that even bitcoin was also a big risk investment. So far it doesn't perform good at all.

Almost gone? That shows that you hold so much money in Luna than every other coins, I understand your pain but that's the way crypto works, always expected something like this that's why we need to invest only what we can afford to lose.

first of all let me say sorry for my late respond - I dindt get notified about the many responses. So THANK YOU very much, I read all the answers and I appreciate your opinions.

So let me give you an update - as I have only invested 300€ until now.

I also think that my portfolio is too "big" and that something like Bitcoin or Ethereum is missing. So I will also include ETH in my updated portfolio.

Some of you guessed it right: I mainly chose very unpopular coins/tokens which I think will rise in the next bullet market.

Even though, I still chose some "big" L1 Chains which will grow for sure (in my opinion). For example Algorand I expect to make massiv profit in the next bullet run or even before. Why: The coming Football World Cup and the cooperation between Algorand and FIFA --> There is a hugeeeee market related to FIFA and for example NFTs. Algorand is perfectly suitable for proceeding such NFTs orders (reliable, very fast, low gas fees). Besides that Algorand has a very steady growth if you take a look at historic snapshots from coinmarketcap.

Anyways, let me show you how I changed my Portfolio.

Once more I really appreciate your help and at the same time I would please you to take a deeper look into some of the listed coins/tokens. It is not all about  liquidity - take a look at the white paper. I would really need some "deeper" opinions especially about the green ones; WHY do you think they are a bad investment?

Don't you like bitcoin and ethereum? They are the most reliable of all. For me, if you are interested in investing a portion of your money in cryptocurrencies, bitcoin is a must, and maybe include also ethereum. It's been proven over the years. I think they secretly bought bitcoin and ethereum for sure it would be better to put money in the coin, although now the price continues to fall. that's not something to worry about because I'm sure the coin will have another big pump at the next halving. This is very minimal risk and effective

here I will add a list of altcoins with good potential in 2023, of course from WEB 3 there is OGN,
in Metaverse there is ILV, and in DEFI there is DODO, because indeed I chose DODO because Ethereum will switch to PoS,

You are doing it all wrong if you ask me, if that money is not that important to you that is fine but you still need to treat your money with the utmost care, and since you are a newbie there are a few mistakes you are making, to begin with you are investing in too many coins, keep it simple, invest in maximum 2 or 3 coins, at the same time you are taking a huge risk by investing only in altcoins when most of your capital should always go to bitcoin and whatever is left can then be invested in some riskier coins if you want.

I See your point but let me explain my thoughts.
99% of "blockchain companies" which we can see in todays market we will probably not be able to find in the near future - probably already in the next bullet market there will appear as many new faces and ideas as those which will disappear forever.
Thus, from an profit oriented perspective why should I invest the majority of my money into coins which are already the biggest ones? I agree, in the near future we will probably still see high profits with ETH and BTC, but why? Will we see them because they offer the best Technologie / Idea? I strongly doubt it; in a society which successfully implemented the ideas of blockchain into their society will use different approaches than these two as both are too inefficient.

But as already mentioned I totally understand your point that I should invest into ETH or BTC - would you recommend me to now buy 300€ ETH at a price of around 1,7K?

Coming back to my thoughts I would like to start asking when would you expect the next bullet market? 
The next bullet run?
What are the arguments for a crypto winter?
Of course there are some but at the same time there are so many parameters which talk against such a trend.
When did coins/tokens gain the most profit? I would say during the beginning of COVID-19. At the beginning of an international crisis.
in March 2022 and April 2022 - the time in which markets got heavily effected by the Ukrainian war - we could actually see a quite strong "crypto market". Who knows what could have happened without LUNA.

To be honest I will expect very difficult next months for Europe/Western World as winter and several problems are facing us. There will be the momentum of several
crises such as energy prices, high inflation, lockdown like rules for several weeks, increasing poverty so on and so on.

Why should not happen what has happened in March 2020?

I agree with what you said other than that about profit or loss actually it all depends on our strategy,
Bitcoin for short-term or long-term investment can generate profits as long as we can manage it properly,
indeed for now investing in the short term is quite risky but for long term investment it will be profitable

I think that it is also possible to earn a decent return on a major coin, especially if you got here early. I know a bear market can still occur but it will now be hard for them to reach their earlier price like 1 to 2 dollar per coin.

This can also be the reason on why some invest on a new coin or on low cap coins. They think they will see a new bitcoin and ethereum again but up until now, the two coins are still the biggest. Many have attempted but they have failed. This is why investors must be careful and don't fully trust the coin or hodl them for too long because you might lose more than what you could already earned if you have sold early.
