The issue is that people do not afraid when they need to be afraid. That is, when Bitcoin is at its peak.

They are afraid to invest when Bitcoin is near its bottom. As Bitcoin is now down about 70%, there is no point in fearing because from here there are high chances of going up and the chances of dropping are slim.

There is no better time to make a long-term investment in bitcoin than now IMO.

Mate, there is no need to be afraid if only you understand the volatile nature of bitcoin. A lot of people who got scammed investing in Bitcoin were the people who had little or no knowledge of what they were doing as such they felt that it was a quick money-giving scheme that they can invest in and get double of their investment immediately but when that failed to happen they see Bitcoin investment as a scam abd they spread the rumors everywhere.


Finding yourself in this forum will give you more reason to trust and believe in bitcoin because millions of people in this forum including myself can attest to the usefulness of bitcoin regardless of the bear market right now.

Absolutely, this is true. However, despite having been raised and having had their minds taught to fear, many still manage to overcome it. The world is changing, and new technologies are appearing daily. If the new trend would make your life easier, you can't because of your background refuse to follow it.
You have nothing to lose if you comprehend and visualize things as they should be. If you fully get how it works and take full advantage of it, investing in bitcoin can be a tremendous start toward establishing your financial future. You may gain more knowledge and make wise investments in any business by learning something new every day. Purchasing bitcoin won't make one regret it, but first learn and understand how it works.

It is commonly said that "people hate what they don't understand, and fear what they can't conquer", so I believe you are right to a good extent.
But I can also tell you that there are people who have heard about bitcoin and haven't invested, not because they are afraid, but because they don't have the right people around them who can guide them, I have this same kind of people come to me almost every day to teach them how to make money through bitcoin.

Sorry but I can't agree with you on this, fear is not what is being taught in school, fear is something people develop their self into due to their past experiences or experiences of those close to them or stories they hear or heard concerning someone else's experience.

For example : imagine a newbie who wants to invest his live savings in bitcoin, and goes online and reads a news of how, not one, not two, but several persons lost all their live savings in bitcoin, such story will instantly install fear into the mind of such a newbie.

So personally, I don't think fear is taught in school, fear is an emotion individuals develop themselves into, due to their experiences or experiences of someone else.

Still people have the choice and we're not entirely able to convince people to go and use Bitcoin or any forms of cryptocurrency. It could be used a lot in the future, but considering that not all human being uses credit/debit card for their own reasoning, there would still be people that are going to stick to fiat regardless. It is just the way it is. Just like phones, there are still people willing to use those old keypads even if majority is now on touch screen as it already solves their need and they could not ask for more.

Fear has not something to do with our educational system in the past. People fear on something maybe because they have been scammed already before and is now afraid to try again. Or it’s just that people develop fear because they are not knowledgeable on things they plan to enter. However, being educated means you were able to lessen the risk, so I think education is very essential not to develop fear either in bitcoin or in any risky investment.

The only reason why a single person becomes afraid of investing because he lacks the knowledge and skills, and he is afraid to take the risks. He is afraid of losses so most likely investing in bitcoin would be out in the picture. However, not all people have the same behaviors towards bitcoin. Some are eager to take the risks because it’s the only way that they can make huge profits in the end. Although there will be inevitable losses at first but it will be overcome in the later part.

People's fear should be caused by some reasons, not only the lack of knowledge or skills. Some people have a weak mentality to take risks, it is their nature to avoid high risks. Since Bitcoin investment is a high risk, those people who are weak in mentality and lack trust in Bitcoin, probably stay away from Bitcoin investment. Another reason, people may be influenced by FUDs. Some people are lazy to take research, they instantly believe in an issue or rumors. This type of people are easier to be influenced by FUDs, so they are afraid to invest in Bitcoin because they hear or read much negative news about Bitcoin or crypto as a whole.

Life in itself is a risk, which is why it's always idea to take a calculative risk, than involve in a stuff you have little or no idea. So no human reject the possibility of any form or type of money, because before the dollar note or digital money came to be used today,there has been different kinds of money used centuries ago for transaction between two parties and in next generation to come, we really can't tell, Bitcoin could be a thing of the past. I don't know where people get this attitude from but I've noticed that the older they are the harder it is to change their minds.

Older people tend to think they went through so much that a young guy can't teach them anything. This makes them often close their minds to technology because they don't need that fancy smartphone or shop in the Internet. They still can go to a store and call their friends with their old phone.

However, sadly, when bitcoin is at $69k, some people claim that bitcoin is too high and that they are unable to purchase it, so they wait for bitcoin to fall before making an investment. Nevertheless, when bitcoin drops below 20k, they begin to panic and believe that bitcoin will continue to fall and many say that bitcoin will go to zero. They are afraid to invest in bitcoin because they have no faith in it, they think it might die or will go to zero, and they are afraid of its volatility. In spite of the fact that we view bitcoin volatility as a potential profit opportunity.

I have felt this since I was a child, where I studied diligently and later I was able to work in an office with a comfortable life. but over time, I think finding financial freedom will be happier, and this will be hard to come by if we work in an office. for that we can imagine if we understand bitcoin from the beginning of course we now have financial freedom, and that happens for those who can always learn from the times. but don't worry about missing the moment, because as of now there are lots of discounts from bitcoin to buy

It is true that human wants status quo to continue and resists change but the bitter reality is that change is the only constant. We should always welcome new technologies in the very  early stage though there are risks associate with it  but early adopters always harvest huge benefits. People are still fear to take entry in crypto market because it is very volatile but experienced investors and traders understand very well that this volatility is a gift if you know how to manage the risk.  I joined crypto space  in 2017 when general public had just started taking interest in digital currencies because Bitcoin price had reached 20K which was considered very high at that time and later we had witnessed long winter which was good buying opportunity for long term investors.

That's why people who doesn't have knowledge about this kind of stuff is probably just avoid it and they always often keep hearing bad stuff from other people hence makes those people avoid it even further. Older people are more careful about where they are putting their money in. They would rather take lower risks in order to minimize losses because they have other things to look after and because of their old age.

On the contrary, younger generation might also take the safer route because of increased unemployment, lack of job security and their general well being.

Hence generations will not matter much, rather knowing the pros/cons and the government's response towards crypto are the things that will push crypto investment forward for any country.

We were always taught from out parents or from educational institutions to always be careful with money.
So yes a mindset has always been drawn that when there is risk we shouldn’t invest any money. But people have forgotten the prime factor that when the risk is high, the return of investment is also great.
Nevertheless OP ,i can see your feelings that you are really upset, as you are not an early investor of the coin, so definitely you are feeling bad. But guess what currently Bitcoins price are best,so use this advantage and buy as many coins as possible.

Not literally that we’re afraid but rather we become worried and apprehensive in things that bring risks and are unsecured. This is why as a human nature, we tend to become somewhat fearful at first especially like bitcoin investment which most of us have no enough knowledge on it. Old people's lives are tied to fiat, it can be said that fiat has been with them for life so it's no surprise that they can't accept something newer which we say is better than fiat while it's so nascent compared to fiat. Unlike previous generations, today's young generation was born in a more modern and comfortable world, so it is understandable that they absorb new and creative things.

We're approaching bitcoin right now and think it's really a great invention and the future of the future, but as we get older and the world continues to develop something newer and more modern than bitcoin, we probably won't accept it easily either.
