Because Bitcoin is not accepted everywhere and very few peoples aware about it.If an internal problem occurs such as a virus corrupts data or the wallet file is corrupted, bitcoins can be lost.its values is not accepted by any central bank.it has no physical value it is also converted in to currency.Its value is always changing according to the demand, there is no fixed value.If bitcoin is paid in exchange for an item from a merchant, there is no telling what the value of the bitcoin will be when the item is returned which creat confusion.these all can be the reasons that some people are afraid to invest in Bitcoin.

I agree that the fear of the new is in human nature and is not connected with the education system. This is embedded in our behavior long before childhood. You noticed a curious detail that people with a stable life don't try to leave their comfort zone and are not interested in new products like bitcoin. They feel good in the traditional financial system in which they live. As long as such people are doing well, it is very unlikely that they will study bitcoin, but as soon as their financial system shakes up, difficulties begin, then their eyes will turn in the direction of it. Attempts to maintain their well-being and former standard of living will be encourage it. So, in times of crisis, might see more wealthy people add bitcoin to their portfolio.

When you talk about bitcoin it is about that digital money. Of course there is risk involved in investing in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin investment is not risk free and whoever told that bitcoin investment is risk free I don't think that's the right approach.

Sorry you were a victim, learning does give us the perception of something we are thought but as people grow they must also live with evolution of things within their environment. you must evolve and learn new things. There are lot of content online to learn about crypto investment.
   While growing up, I was only thought to do business or work for salary if I want to earn money. I was so glad when my friend Introduced me to cryptocurrency, at first I never thought of investing because of risk of losing money but as time goes on, I cast my fear and started investing into Bitcoin and other crypto. I think the simple answer would be due to the volatility of BTC in its price.

With media stigmatizing the view of cryptocurrencies, it created this artificial fear and hope where if you invest into BTC, you would become instantly rich. This is what media portrayed BTC to be to the point that people would blindly invest into it without knowing its effects and purpose. This is exactly what happened last 2017 when the price skyrocketed and plummeted down, then people blamed BTC and tagged it as a scam.

Any speculative market can be a gamble. The point lies in whether you are letting it mess up your life or handling your money properly. Most people cannot do the second one and hence people around them get a negative impression about that speculative market.
