I tried DRAGON BALL at some point and it was fun and cool but i was gradually getting addicted to it. I could recall spending a whole day putting in money in bit and spending so much time on card rewards. If i am not mistaken this should be my first ignorant gambling experience which i personally didn't know i was actually gambling

It is a good thing that you realized what was happening before it was too late, what happens is that there are many things that do not advertise themselves as gambling but in fact they are a form of gambling, in video games we have loot boxes, the developers instead of allowing you to buy whatever items you want decide to establish such random system to their players, which is obviously a form of gambling and it is implemented with the idea to increase the number of purchases you make, which is why I have always thought that loot boxes should be forbidden in any game which is rated for 17 years old or younger.

^Any form of gambling could be addictive that is why we should be careful upon dealing this not to turn into an addiction. But it depends on the game mechanics, if you play the games and enjoy them, you are entertained very well and that is not gambling for me. This kind of game could be addictive and the reason why many people played these loot boxes. However, gacha games are only online entertainment games for me that are based on luck, and nothing else to be addictive in this game.

It's better yo realize sooner rather than not realizing at all which could lead more money spent on the game. Game owners or developers are like that where they use the game to earn more money but if it's a play for free game then the only thing that helps them to earn money with their game is to have an in-game currency that can only be accumulated through spending real money which the in-game currency can be used to buy items that can make your character strong, look cool kr whatever it is.

Realizing it earlier but insisting to continue seems to be more painful than realizing it late and then you will stop so we shouldn't regret heavily if we are like this but we shall think that there are people who are in worse situation than us.

Game devs can earn money in different ways. They can apply for a game company and create games there but for the game owner they can choose to include in game purchase so that they can earn and recover what they have spent for creating the game. If not in the form of in game purchase, they can also put ads. There are game owners who are so abusive and put these two altogether. The game ended up being bad after it.

I think it's better that it's painful if you insist tk continue which will make you think that you should stop because it's painful. I do understand your point but each of us have different opinions and even mindset. I am quite curious now that you said it and I hope you could explain or answer this question. You realize it earlier and yet if you insist to continue is painful than realizing it late then why is it painful in early and not in early?. My answer to this one is it is indeed painful if you insist on to continue but you have your chance to stop, as the saying goes, regret is always after you have done something and not before you do it.

As far as RPG games are concerned, I can say that this is a fun game, but I have never tried it or thought that it is possible to make money from this type of game. Maybe if there is a way that other players can make money from this because of the high level of characters, that is the chance that they can sell it to buyers who also love it of course.

But as an ordinary person like me who is not rich, I can't buy a character in a game just to spend a lot of money on this thing, because it can be said to be a luxury or an impractical method, maybe to other people who have a lot of money and can't do anything with their money.

Good if you never tried it and you better not attempt to do so. The experience of the users in this thread should be enough to stop you and you don't want to be addicted and lose more money, aren't you?

It is fun and exciting but that can be one of their trap for the people to get hook, same with what we feel in gambling. Currently they don't exist in a casino but it's possible for them to be included because their elements are almost the same, is that they are rigged and not really based on luck. You already mentioned Japanese there and I think gacha games originated and are popular there because in japan there are those claw machines and other similar games.

That is true that developers doesn't have to follow the same regulations that casinos must follow. Some games did have something like that where the player/gamer is underage and must have parents consent before they can buy in-game currency unlike those who doesn't need parental consent just to buy the in-game currency. If I am a developer then I would do the same which is to make orofit from the game I develop.
