I guess that's why it's called gamble, because we really don't know what will be the outcome and as human, we have the tendency to test it for ourselves, take the risks and see how it goes. If it goes in our favor, then good, but wait, we will not stop because we are being played but our emotions and we decided to try and continue. And then it goes on and on, until we get addicted experience the worst and later we will have to decided if we wanted to continue or not. For some of us, we already learned out lesson very well and we won't venture on that kind of thing because we don't want to mess our life again.

And that will make us addicted after playing gambling for a while and we can't control the addiction. Many people have experienced that experience. Still, most people probably realize what addiction is and whether they have really got addicted because all they do is seek pleasure from gambling. The longer we gamble, the greater the chance that our emotions will escalate and become out of control and it's only a matter of time before things become completely unstoppable.

In the process of gambling is very difficult to stop so people so often lose all the money. The only thing that can help to avoid such situations is to limit the money allocated to gambling. For example, you can allocate to gambling $100-200 per month and not exceed this limit (actually this amount depends on how much money you do not feel sorry, because with a high probability you will lose them). If you cannot limit yourself and spend much more than you have planned, then most likely you already have a gambling addiction and you need to fight it.

Agree with you. I think we can control the losses by allocating a certain amount of money to gamble every month and really sticking to it. The amount of money mentioned must be adjusted to the state of the funds we have because there may be some people who don't use that amount of money, including me, to play gambling. However, we have a lot of worse days in gambling but I think not that worst because I know how to control myself from eagerness. Only gamble on what you can afford, either win or lose, it will not hurt your wallet. Sometimes if I feel that luck was not on my side, I take a break and come back when everything was right. If you gamble based on luck games, the chances of losing your fund are very high.

This one would be categorized in gambling more than what you can afford to lose. I happen to know that it is risky to invest and bet in something that you are not knowledgeable of, but I still risked the chance.     Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

Damn, that is surely bad. I know a person who did the same and he basically emptied all his college fees in something.
Just like you even he was not allowed to write the exams. But I hope you learnt a lesson from this event and never repeated such an act.

Definitely, it is true. I will never call gambling as bad. It is undoubtedly a good thing if you can keep yourself entertained for a while in this mechanical life. But whenever it crosses the limit of entertainment, it is no longer normal. Makes life miserable. So those things should be avoided. So don't try to exceed your limitations.

I have read the same experience with the others that they've spent the salary they've just received and lost it all in gambling.
This isn't just all in the web stories but in the real life, I've known a lot in the circle of my friends and friends of friends that are like this. It seems that they can't help themselves anymore and they can't stop it due to the addiction they are experiencing.
Eventually, when they've been stuck with the reality that there are no other people that will help them to get up, they've tried to mitigate it and gradually overcome it.

Can't say waste totally because in the first place we intentionally did it and I believe we feel the rush every time we put those quarters in the machine and then seeing those reels roll in our very own eyes. Waste is when you lost your money in the streets by accident. That is more painful because you didn't have fun or anything.

Realizing that you don't have any money left and then you need to work hard again for the next 13 days or so to get your next salary should wake you up from the reality and you will think twice again next time from playing gambling recklessly. We can do some practice like paying our bills first or do the groceries first before we play if ever playing gambling is unavoidable, so that we won't worry once we lose all the money that is left.

Such a thing has never happened to me, because I am an occasional gambler, this is to say that, I only gamble when I have some extra money I don't mind losing, gambling shouldn't be seen as a means of making money, just gamble for the fun of it, and if you win money in the process, then that's your luck, and never try gambling with money you can't afford to lose.

As much I think that people should be free to gamble, it is also true that people need to exercise a lot of caution when they do it, it is very easy to think that somehow you will be able to overcome the odds and make money when you gamble, but the truth is that this is something incredibly difficult to do that only a handful of professionals can accomplish, so anyone else that is thinking about making money while they gamble is only looking for trouble, which is what happened to you.

Self-control is really important especially if you're in winning streak and already profit. You have been able to control yourself which many people are not naturally capable of. In Gambling If someone gambles depending on his income, even if he loses there, there is no effect. One of the best classic examples why we should only gamble when we have some spare funds, we already know that the money we had is already allocated specifically and we shouldn't use it for other reasons aside from emergency purpose. Many people don't understand this. Once they win some amount in gambling, they are willing to win more on the same day and that is where they miss the trick. Usually, when you are greedy, you won't win in gambling. Better quit gambling after winning some amount and try your luck again tomorrow with a fresh mind. Anyways people don't learn from their mistakes and keep on repeating the same mistake over and over again.

Not everything is negative, what we can draw as a conclusion is that obviously when we play long-term in a single day, we are going to make losses, that is something very true, second, if we start to see ourselves, slots should be played with a lot of money. I think the core of all this is because when a person plays in a casino, he is always thinking that he will win, that he will always have good options and does not take into account that he will lose, so if a person has more money than normal, he will say likewise, that he will risk that money because he is sure that he will win and it does not work like that, things are very different when you are in front of a game where anything makes you believe that we will have good luck, risk management is very important, we cannot leave everything adrift, when it comes to money it is better to do things right because otherwise the bad times will be very often and unpleasant.
