Wow, just came across this thread today, have not gotten any pumpkin yet, so i decided to make use my corel draw and photoshop to do a little



will do my carving when I get my hand on something later, probably before the end of the contest.

I cannot see anything for Patrol69's linked images in this above post.  It just shows up as an "invalid image".  

So what is it that you see, Dubaian?  

Are you referring to Patrol69's earlier entry from two days ago?  Has that entry from two days ago been amended? or did Patrol69 submit a new set of images?  

My understanding is that there can ONLY be one entry for the contest per member.

Probably trying to harvest more pumpkins merit seeing almost every submission gets a token of appreciation.

Yes.. that kind of makes sense.. but newbies are not prevented from being able to see images, it is just that the posts of the images of newbies cannot be seen by others.  So for me, there still seems to be a bit of a mystery.. except the repetition of post(s) for merits angle, perhaps?

Great entires guys, wish I had merit available for the most recent ones. I really didn’t expect this much participation, let alone how great so many of them turned out to be. I will update the list tomorrow. Keep them coming, we’ve got just about two days and an hour left for this competition.

The first time I saw the Thread "Bitcointalk Bitcoin Pumpkin Carving Contest" I was confused where to start. Then I decided to buy equipment to participate in this contest.

I'm not someone who is an expert in painting or carving, this is my first time carving a pumpkin. With a simple tool that I have, I try to be creative to join this party.

This is the result of my work.


The first step, prepare the pumpkin and the equipment needed.


The second step, start the work by drawing the Bitcoin symbol on the Pumpkin.


The third step, the work is almost finishing.


The fourth step, the work is 100% complete.


The fifth step, add a little light to make it more elegant.


It's nice to see the results of your own efforts even if it's a little messy. 
Being a part of the pumpkin carving contest was a very memorable moment for me.

I couldn't get a pumpkin for my carving because my country doesn't celebrate Halloween, but I did get a self-harvested Pawpaw.

This is the Pawpaw right after it was harvested.
 
No one wants his/her fruit to be dirty


Because this is my first time carving, I thought it would be a good idea to first trace out what I intended to carve.


After cutting my finger for the second time, I had to take a short break.


Result


I attempted to illuminate the interior, but it was just as bad as my carving. Lol.


Now comes the interesting part the part about the tummy. It wouldn't be right to just feed the eyes without also feeding the stomach, so I took it a step further by making it edible.


Don't worry, they're in a safe place.

I can imagine the smile on your face by seeing the contest getting more engagement. I wouldn't know about this contest if I didn't see the news section. I guess a lot of participants come from the header news section. Thanks to the admins.
I wonder if admins would like to add a special (temporary) pumpkin badge to the winner profile, just like the pizza baking contest.
fillippone's badge shone under his name. I wouldn't mind if we saw a pumpkin badge as well. Maybe ChiBitCTy can ask the Admins if they agree.

You surely have made a messy & somewhat confusing post crypto sufixe (only your second post on the forum, welcome), and yes it seems that ONLY some of the links work in order to show the underlying picture.. so maybe if you remove some of the redundancies and/or edit your post, then I will re-cite it in the edited (revised) form - that is if you make such efforts to fix it up a bit.

First, I wanted to carve Faketoshi's face on the pumpkin, but it could have been of bad taste, and that guy is not worth the effort nor the attention.

Second, I wanted to carve a QR code that would lead to Satoshi's first post in this forum, but due to the curvature of the pumpkin it would be unreadable.

So, after several frustrated ideas, this is the result. Simple, but made with love!

Once again, great job everyone. I've really enjoyed seeing all these pumpkin carving posts over the last couple of weeks.  I am still trying to find time to carve mine, which I think I'm planning to do tomorrow.  I'm quite literally in the midst of a move, and only have a couple days left, so it's possible I don't get to it, but I essentially planned on doing what I did the last time which you can see in my original post.
