Rules - The only rule is that your creation has to include some sort of pumpkin, gourd, squash or something of that ilk.  If you want to incorporate 3D printed stuff, NFT's, coins, whatever, all the better!  There will only be one entry per person (but this can include a bulk of items together (i.e. a 3 pumpkin set with a drawing next to it, for example).

Edit:
As for the rules, yes , it MUST be bitcoin related in some fashion. If it’s just some regular pumpkin, without any bitcoin anything connected to it, it does not qualify.

A bit pity that the rules of the contest were updated right after the submission date has passed Smiley

Nope, as mentioned before the thread title really does point out what the contest is about,
also on page 4 ChiBitCTy directed people to include Bitcoin in their work. I can't understand
how anyone could submit work into a "Bitcoin" themed contest without actually having anything
related to Bitcoin....

Love the posts but guys…please read the rules if you want to be eligible for prizes. Most people aren’t following them. BTC must be incorporated in some way. Being a btc forum it’s kinda the whole point. I created a second contest to try and make this doable for anyone in the world who can have US items sent to them. But whether in contest one or two, need to be btc related please.  Awesome stuff tho !

No offense, it was still fun to carve the pumpkin Wink Just a small hint for the next contests to include a more detailed information in the rules Wink

Since your subject is orange, everyone can pretend that it is also a pumpkin. As an exception. Smiley Looks charming, actually. If you cut out the entire core and illuminated from the inside, in the best traditions of Halloween, then the first prize would be provided to you. Smiley

Am I the only one who associates this photo with bitcoin logo? Now I know what the BTC-logo means (the one that is orange slanted to the right) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5417276.msg61128441#msg61128441.

Literally says in the title BitcoinTalk “BITCOIN” pumpkin carving contest. It should have been obvious it needed to be bitcoin related based on the OP which says bitcoin in the title, has multiple examples of bitcoin carved pumpkins as well as what aoluain mentioned, that I mentioned this several other times throughout the contest.

Why people have to complain about fun/free things, is beyond me. Did I set this up perfectly? No. This was my first time and a bit of a learning experience but I think overall everyone had fun with this. I mean I never expected over 80 entires!

Update on Poll:  I’ve reached out to Theymos and waiting to hear back for further instructions. Again, he offered to help add some provisions to the poll in which will make it more fair voting wise.

Those extra rules as quoted by Theymos to me “ 1) only Member+ votes will count, where copper membership does not on its own count as Member; and 2) users who haven't made a post in the year between the time of this post and 1 year ago will not be counted. I'll post the adjusted results at the end. In case of a tie in the end, the candidate who at that time has more total merit in the art contest thread will win”.

So stay tuned everyone, we’ll open voting here soon!

The title "Bitcoin PUMPKIN Carving Contest" also contains the word Pumpkin, but in the rules, you mention that creation has to include some sort of a pumpkin, which should also be obvious from the title Smiley

I am not complaining, just giving you friendly advice that could help you to organize future contests in a more transparent way.

Thank you for organizing the event and good luck to all participants Smiley

Sorry for being late famososMuertos, but my most sincere congratulations for your story. Very creative!

And the green pumpkin, lmao, I guess that it is difficult to find the typical orange pumpkin in your latitude, adds an extra layer of originality.

He added some Tx, he told me that they are Tx id, transaction codes, I didn't understand him very well but it sounded very good...

Those Txs remind me of the laughter of The Joker in "The killing joke", when he goes like Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha...

Quite disturbing, but wasn't it the goal for Halloween? Wink

Voting has gone live for Contest #1- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419254.0

Voting has gone live for Contest #2- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419367.0

Contest #2- I thought I could post a second poll inside a thread that already had a poll, but I was wrong.  Therefore for contest #2 it looks like I'll have to open a separate thread.  (My apologies for clogging up the collectibles section with two polls.  Didn't think that would be the case.  Thought about waiting until poll 1 closed to start poll 2, but I think it is only right to post them both at the same time for timing reasons )

Edit: Chatting with theymos to see if I can put two polls in one thread ( I assume I can't since I don't see the option to allow for it, but wanted to double check).  If I can't then I'll create a new thread for Contest 2 as intended.  So stay tuned.

-I will be locking this thread-

A big thanks to Theymos/Cyrus and everyone else who helped out along the way!!!!

Not off topic, thanks for sharing.

Again as for the winners bare with me. My house looks like a tornado hit it, so its taking some time going through all the boxes to gather the prizes. This plus work, and as as having thrown out my back is making things a tad difficult for me at the moment.  So please continue to bare with me as I go through this transitional phase in my life making everything 10x harder to accomplish.

It’s after Thanksgiving. I think maybe this post should be allowed to fade off into the sunset and the Christina’s Tree decorating contest to begin. Although I guess we could call them holiday trees or decoration subjects instead to be politically correct. With the end of the year rapidly approaching, I imagine some of you must have some Bitcoin festivity displayed in your living rooms.

According to tjtonmoy [HERE] Tanvi50_ is their sister and halim50_ is a friend

That alternate account belongs to my sister. It's Tanvi50_. So technically it's not mine, but I do have access to it.

My what strong hands Tanvi50_ has (notice the nails chewed down to the stumps and back glow?)

I have seen onions, orange, pumkins... Thought why not a potato!
Let's hope thia gets selected.

Very similar to tjtonmoy's own hands, wouldn't you say?

Can't find any pumpkins but thought this would be funny.

Trust the process

Same with halim50_'s hands and keyboard / backlighting...

pumpkin is not available in our area. So I made it with orange
