These days there are still tons of people keep wasting their time and fees to earn garbage NFTs. Even after this thread being created and so many people didn't even aware if these NFT were so garbage as trash. NFT basically was a trash that being sold for money due to the hype.
People who bought NFT has been loosing tons of money. NFT is a way for us to spend our money for nothing.

That is mainly because there are way too many people who have made good chunk of money from the free NFT airdrops back in the day, hell even the priced ones that were like 20 dollars to 200 dollars, all got a lot higher back in the day, people tried to find ways to get in before anyone else so that it wouldn't run out before they bought it.

There are 10k collections that got sold out in a minute, and this wasn't rare neither. Which is the type of hype that stays with some people, if you turned your 100 dollars into 50k+ during the hype period, then you will not be over the fact that it’s not possible anymore during the bear market neither and keep trying your luck.

The market is as naive as it was in 2017.  Market today is somehow more intelligent than before.  Freebies may have good value if it was way back years ago but today, investors are getting smarter.  Aside from that NFT hype is already over so it is hard to catch some naive investors to buy naturally worthless NFTs.

Most of the high-priced NFT sales are possibly self-purchased to hype things about NFT.  It is true there are high priced transaction in NFT market but I doubt that it not a self bought act.  Even the volume of NFT today is somehow dubious.

They can. And they appear to this day, in Solana and ETH networks, though much less often than before. Most of the free NFTs are garbage, and the ones that can get good hype in them are very difficult to get. WL in such projects is not easy to get, it is also worth considering that there are many bots revolving around worthless free NFTs, which make it difficult to participate in such projects. To discover good free NFTs, you need to be able to analyze a project's tweets. How many followers, whether there are real people, which of the Influencers follow this project and many more aspects.

this is exactly what's going on in the NFT market, although old NFT collectibles have been dumped, many NFTs are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and are currently for sale for just a few tens of dollars. but besides there are many collections with lower prices from a few tens of dollars to a few hundred dollars that are Fomo and many people can make a profit right after buying it

The effect of increasing the price of reddit collections due to the influence of the platform is prominent and familiar to investors, but even so I am not interested in NFT collectors because I have previous experience that NFT increases are only based on hype, so for me it is not worth long-term and high-risk investments if interest in NFT investment will decline.

some of them are still earning but some are just trash. You just have to see the potential of the NFT or join their community so that you know how the whole project is and what the potential of the NFT is in the future, even if it's free but can make money it doesn't hurt to claim.

that's true that it doesn't hurt claiming some of these NFTs but then again most NFTs that are usually have value are the ones that usually requires us to stake our coin etc, i'm sure that most of the NFTs that you could claim without some requirements are just gonna ended useless.

Sadly it is just a waste of time. You need to ask yourself why NFTs are being given for free and what the giver is earning with this. Of course he has to be earning something with this, because nobody gives money for free, or the most obvious answer is that he is simply giving valueless stuff he can't do anything with or which didn't cost anything for him to produce.

Giveaways which really worth were bitcoin faucets back in the early years of cryptocurrency. So you were paid in an asset you knew it had a real value. But since giveaways started being paid in altcoins and NFTs it completely lost its purpose, because people started being paid in useless tokens they don't even know if they worth a penny of dollar or not.

Crypto enthusiasts back then were smarter, or giveaways' promoters have become deceitful on their offers.

You are free to ignore claiming free NFTs if you think that was just a waste of time. If you truly want to use your time on important things, then claiming free NFTs is not for you since there's no assurance that you will be paid off someday with your effort in claiming those.

Others are still spending time on that because they are expecting that one of those NFTs will be a jackpot.

It's not us to decide if they are wasting their time or not. We should mind our own business.

I've come to realise that most people in this cryptocurrency space just float with the tide. We've been hearing about NFTs and people are not considering the cost implication, because of the few big wins heard about NFTs they waste their little resources hoping for the big wins on free NFTs. I personally haven't seen any free NFT that has been worth the cost of minting and still wonder why people keep claiming. It feels like they just don't want to be left out, if eventually anything good comes out of those NFTs.

NFT can be a good investment to try but sometimes many of this NFT project do not stay for longer period which at the end the price can become less or start to be going down because of less liquidity. I don't see any thing in free NFT because most time it's not tradable that is why many people that knows much about the NFT market do not bother much about the free ones.

I can't even consider it as an investment anymore. that doesn't make sense to consider illiquid asset as an investment. I think that you must also see how many NFT has been going down so hard. You can see the old NFT like ghozali or something else. It's worth nothing right now. The free NFT will perform even worst than it caused by mostly of free nFT never got any hype and the were not even valuable enough to be priced in fiat money. Thinking about NFT as an investment is not right

That is true...you can't rely on earning from them. Though not totally a waste of time because some of them can still be sold in exchanges, however, we can't think about high value.  $5, $10, it only enough for the transaction fee and no left for you, and it was discouraging to see, unlike in the old days like in 2017 where many airdrops can be sold high more than the expected amount which could really make you happy.

Still i can't make a penny by claiming free NFT but i think claiming free NFT is worthy then Airdrop, NFT hype is still ongoing in the market because right now mostly new launching project is based on NFT. But it’s true most of the NFT fake or worthless but if you are lucky then you can get big profit suddenly. It can be wasted time for you but not for everyone who guys already got huge amount of money by claiming free NFT.

It will not only become the difficult thing to sell. it has become the harderst thing to sell. I meant look at what happened with the market. It seems like that if people like you are still accumulating more and more useless NFT. I think these free nft's are the same to those airdops (free tokens and altcoins). You will mostly get useless nft but if you got lucky then you can make a fortune with them.

If you value your time then you better use them on something that is more worth it like working in a real job so that you can earn a guaranteed money but if you still have a free time and you don't know how to spend it then you can gamble your way on them and who knows? Just like the airdrops, some of these are not totally free but you are required to pay some gas to mint the nft. I remember there was a pepsi nft giveaway last time but I didn't participate it for that reason. I regret it later on because the nft's are being sold at a high price.

There were no NFT in 2017 or even if there were few, no one talked about them. It was last year when NFT hype was at its peak. Now again the NFT hype is dead and therefore there is no interest in people collecting NFT or engaging in buying and selling of bitcoin. The NFT marketplace is very slow these days and you will find it hard to sell any NFT.
As far as free NFTs are concerned, they are even more worthless and are just a waste of time collecting them.

Glad you learned your lesson because most NFTs are almost like shit coins you claim them and earn them but they aren't useful since there's no exchange or rather no market movement anymore and probably the price won't pump up anymore if you seen one. Few altcoins and NFTs are worth it these days but I don't think if free NFT has some worth in it anymore since it seems like nobody wants to screw up again by investing in a wrong coin.

I have never collected any free nft so I do not have any idea how it will bring money to the receiver but if we compare free nft with free token airdrop, they are basically the same as free airdrop tokens are hardly worth anything compared to a few years back. Am guessing the same thing is happening to free nft, they are worthless, you will only end up with a pile of jpeg images in your wallet that is worth nothing.
If you want to earn money from nft you should be ready to spend money as well.

In the future, it is possible that the market will become bigger and there will be more buyers for special NFTs. 1 year ago, there were many stars who bought Ape NFT and made it official. Currently, the trend is over... faster than fashion. I also own NFT's but now i dont sell them, that will not bring enough money.
