I think this would depend on the circumstances of a person. If a gambler wants to receive a winning prize no matter what, then going with the safe choice of splitting might be the ideal answer. But if the gambler wants to gamble for entertainment, adrenaline, and for the money, then experiencing the "go big or go home" choice of reroll is the answer.

Personally, I am a safe guy where I always choose the safest option. I would prefer to split the prize and call it a day and use the proceeds to gamble again in my designated gambling website of choice.

This is how gambling works, the more you greed the chances to lose more becomes high and probably instead of going home with a profit, you might ended up losing it. I’ll talk to my partner and will force him to agree and split the reward, I’m not that greedy gambler and making profit like that is already big for me. If the site allows to withdraw it, I will definitely choose that option.

What I'm saying is, the poll result was heavily affected because of the mentioned prize.

0.05btc is something that worthy amount now that's why instead of rerolling, we will take home that amount instead.

In my case if the prize is 0.003 or max 0.005, maybe I will try my chance of reroll. Since it's a giveaway, I didn't put any money on it. Who knows that I can hit that doubled prize for reroll and turned the 0.003 or 0.005 to 0.006 and 0.01 respectively.

As long as that 0.05 can be claimed right away after the roll, there's no reason to risk it reroll. But if its the other way around, then no choice but to reroll it. That's a giveaway so I think to be fair at all concern, the winning prize can be claimed right away and the option if the winner will still gamble it of course depend on that user if he is willing to take the risk.

That's because if we choose to split the prize, we can get big money and say we win big. Usually, if we win big and continue to play gambling, we will experience defeat and often, the loss is greater than our previous wins. So dividing the prize can give us the winning even though the amount is not as big as if we can win alone. But still, it was big winning money. It can be said that we can make the right decisions in gambling and after that, we must immediately leave gambling after withdrawing the winning money. But from this viewpoint, if it's just a giveaway with no financial risk taken by you, personally if I was given that choice, I would choose the reroll. Foremost, what is the terms and conditions of the casino you are playing with? If the casino has set their TOS telling that the player holding or made a bet on the actual number rolled will be the declared winner, then that would be followed. Otherwise, if it is stated that the nearest number could claim the price after the roll and divide the winnings, then the 2 numbers next to the rolled number could get home the price for that roll.

But since the number 8 is different from 7 and 9. The agreement between players holding 7 and 9 to divide the price won't suffice because the TOS must be followed by all participants (assuming that the TOS states the first scenario I mentioned). And definitely, other players won't be happy either with that kind of setup. They'll probably prefer to have a reroll instead of division of prize because they might have the chance to win if ever the reroll will land on their number. Personally speaking, I would like a reroll too for fairness of the game.

we cannot decide for this as the other one will need to comply, though I will not gamble the chance because 0.05 bitcoin is indeed big for me so i will split the amount if he will allow.

How can it be being "too greedy"? It's a giveaway with having no personal financial risk for the player. Giveaways are supposed to be played for fun without any expectation of winning anything. Being greedy, or being an "opportunist", would be to join the giveaway with a profit-motive. I know participants are incentivized to join, but the prizes are supposed to be just a bonus.

If the terms of the roll states that the exact winning number would take home the prize, then there should be no negotiation. You have to follow the rules to be fair to other participants as well. But if it is stated that there will only be one roll and if the winning number wasn't anyone's number or bet, then the nearest numbers could divide the prize, it will be a win-win for the two players.

0.05BTC is already big for other people and winning that could already mean a lot to them. Hence, they will agree if ever they are in the position. And if ever a rule is already stated, they can't really request a reroll and just take up the 0.05BTC as their prize.
