That's not greed. That's FEAR of not receiving any money from what actually is a free giveaway. Which also loses the real purpose of the giveaway in my opinion. It's supposed to be for fun for the community, not for receiving money to take home.

Well, its a wrong use of the term "Greed" 

Yes, i do agree that we are really that in fear but that impulse inside of yours which you shouldnt really be sharing up or would like to solo that giveaway.
Giveaways is for the sake of entertainment and further enjoyment of a certain game on a platform but there are people
who do see that it could really be a money which they could go home without even thinking that there are particular
wagering requirements attached into it.

It depends on OP if they are barely needed with the prize the most ideal thing to do is split the prize and of course, they are both winners so it will become depends on both sides if they decided to split or make a re-roll so there's the winner decided in this game, people who are willing to risk have the higher chance to get the prize or got nothing, if you don't really need those prizes to reroll is the most ideal there's no regret at the end of the day, but if you have a thing so pay with the split is the best.

All will end with how the gambler who are in the situation will decide his fate, but in such an event where the amount is huge, and it came from a casino giveaways, if there's no wagering requirement and you can take the money out right away. Personally splitting is the best option, but if he's willing to take additional risk, re-roll is also possible. Both parties have an equal chances it's just a matter of luck that will decide who will take the whole prize.

Tough call and a matter of how you handle your emotion, it's money matter and what will be the best thing if you are in this kind of scenarios.

Greed on the sense that you would really be liking to get that whole amount or bonus and wont really be tending nor like to share it up with other people Ex. 2 person.
It might be a bonus but there were people who do really treat up that it was their money or something that they should own.
It might be that wrong on general perspective on using up the word but when it comes to impression it is really just similar or the same sense.
If you are that contented on 0.05 then you would look for something bigger since you do know that there are chances.

If they still want to chase a larger amount of money and don't want to share it with others, they have to be careful because that won't guarantee to get it. Greed will eventually drop them to the bottom and they will not be able to earn or recover the lost money they have played in many gambling games.

After all, it's a pretty big bonus for them and they really have to control their greed before things change and they'll regret it. It is better to feel satisfied than pursue something uncertain because we can lose everything.

I think they are aware of it already that what they are planning is too risky and they can go home with nothing but they choose to continue despite of it. Other reasons that I can think of other than what @dunfida said would be that they are big gamblers and they think 0.05btc is too small.

The price of bitcoin right now is also at a dip so 0.05btc will look even smaller for them. They are not happy owning it but they will feel more thrilled if they re roll it. For us who are only small gamblers we think 0.05btc is already big enough so we are contented with it because it is a sure money already. I would like to do the same. Rather than losing the whole amount I would love to split the price too then reroll.

Of course, 0.05btc is too small for big gamblers, and maybe if all three are big gamblers, they will ask for Reroll to see further results. And when the result is not equal or smaller than the previous result, they can accept it and will continue playing for the next round.

If they can hold that 0.05btc until the bitcoin price rises again, that 0.05btc will be a huge profit for them and won't let them down. But if they instead use it to bet, there is no guarantee they can win that amount or more because the result is that they might lose. We as small gamblers will be satisfied with the 0.05btc result because it means a lot to us.

And of course, both should agree about this. Once lucky, we will increase our profits, but if we end up losing the win amount, then there’s no regrets because both sides have agreed about this. There's no greed on that. It's just that taking the prize is a good and wise decision in that case because the prize was already a decent amount, to begin with. Expecting more might end up taking without money that's why it's good to secure already that winnings.

It's also hard to win on that giveaway so take it as luck that we ended up winning.

For that amount I’m probably going to re-roll. If it were more money, say several thousand dollars more, than I take a harder look at possibly splitting it down the middle. This happens for me in fantasy football at times and I normally decided against splitting the pot, more fun to go for it all.

Nowadays, it is indeed hard to win on every giveaway. There's only a certain chance that you'll be picked and take home the prize all for yourself. Hence, splitting the winning with other player could be a good deal already if the casino's terms is fine with it. Securing your prize isn't really a bad idea even if it's just half of the original prize. It's still better to take home something than nothing at all. And yes, to some that 0.05BTC is a decent amount already and can be used to buy or experience specific things they desire. Being greedy could make you lose what you almost already had, so it's better to keep in mind to weigh the situation first before rushing into a decision that you might regret.

However, most of the responses in this thread suggest that the choice would be in favor of splitting the money. In general, the opinion of the players is clear - they choose the minimum guaranteed prize. I would like to know the opinion of the organizers of the draw - it seems to me that it should differ from the opinion of the players, since the organizers' interest is to create a feeling of excitement in the player, and if the prize is distributed in a "reliable and fair" way, then there is no feeling of excitement.

What we learn from this thread is that people will split if the amount is significant for them, and if the amount is low (something like $1) then they will reroll.

I'm sure if i start another thread like this but with the amount of $1 dollar more than 95% will go for Reroll to get one or zero, but getting $0.5 doesn't feel like a huge amount of money and that's why thy can afford it to lose.

Remember it's a give away, and 0.05btc is a nice take home and there is no way I personally will continue rolling when no winner is assured.
One weakness people have in gambling is not knowing ones limit and not knowing when to stop becauee of greed which in most cases ends up In total silent regrets.
So I personally will split and walm away with half of it.

Being selected as a part of the winner is already difficult in a giveaway therefore I need to grab that share of the pie instead of gambling it to get the full prize. Besides, BTC0.05 is already a good win for that giveaway without risking anything. With that amount, I can already diversify it on other things while still doing my gambling activity at the same time.

It's more regretful if I choose instead to reroll it and in the end, I will not get the full prize. In the event that there's a test after I claimed the half just to know the result of the reroll and I won that test, still the regrets are not that big compare to losing it all.

Well, in my case I wouldn't doubt it, I would split the prize, we don't know what the other player has gone through to get there and maybe that money is needed not only to play but for other things that can be decisive in his life, I would see it from the most human side (although the person is not like that) but for all the events that have happened in the world, I would say that now is when we should be more united, and if a casino, an mgame, a raffle can help unite I don't doubt it, for me these things are opportunities to make more friends, it's when you play soccer against another team, usually you end up having very good friends.

Well this is one of the things that must be learned the most, I am sure that many players agree with their way of playing and thinking, playing it safe is sometimes the most intelligent and even the most sensible thing to do, for some people it is to divide and leave and enjoy, but we also know that there are many people who think very differently and take the risk truck, of course the people who have money to support themselves and that this loss does not affect anything in their life but they see it only as " losing" well, there is no problem, but a person or player has to evaluate his economic situation and if he sees that it is not convenient for him, he has to go for the answer.

I would probably split the prize and walk away with a decent 0.05 BTC. Anything else seems a bit too greedy and somehow feels like it would go wrong. In fact, if you were to use that 0.05 BTC to keep gambling, why on the same game? You could easily win more if you played it smart.

But this thread does raise the question of how much is considered a non-risky amount? At what point does splitting become a better option?

That probably might be different for everybody depending on their financial status such as their income and their capital. If I were a millionaire, I would not care about losing 1k. I would probably keep going and reroll.

The amount of the prize does affect the decision especially if we are comparing hundreds buck vs few buck even cents. If you start a new thread with $1 prize, I will simply answer "reroll it or I'll give it to the other". Not because I dont want the money, but it is wasting of time and mind to think and discuss what to do with $1.
