Now why Stake isn't taking these extremely small bets?

The $70 bet was one that could be placed on the 3-way betting but for lower odds (1.43) as shown in the screenshot as well.

All I'm saying is that on Twitter and on the "High Rollers" screen you see people posting bets of 5-6 digits easily, on the same event, risking supposedly $100k or more - and here even $70 is not being accepted.

Perhaps it has to do with his account, he might need to level up to a higher VIP level, so that the restrictions could be removed.

The account is verified and Level 3 VIP.
NBA bets are limited to $100 max on totals.
Now it seems UFC bets would be limited to $300 or so.

It's because of winning too much, nothing else. i.e. placing bets on Soccer can take a larger amount for example.

I think the explanation for this is clearly stated in the image you posted, it reads that "max bet exceeded" which i personally believe to likely mean two things.
1. Is either your account is limited to a certain number of bets or a certain amount(in dollars) which you can bet at a go, and it happens that your account have reached that limit, so this clearly explains the error .

2. The fight in question received an enormous amounts of bets already and Stake place a general limited, and that limit has been reached worldwide, which means that you might not be the only one that experienced this, so we wait to see if there are other users of stake that will complain of this same issue so as to confirm this assumption.

But in a case where you are the only one who experienced this, then it simply means you have some limits on your account.

That's probably the reason why your account has been set to a limit by stake. It's pretty common for casinos to set limit to users who usually wins on certain games, on your case UFC games.

The error message you've receive is self-explanatory and I suggest that you contact support about the limit set on your account as they are only people who can help you and explain more about limit set.

I think you're missing the main point here - I don't need support to do that, I can place bets elsewhere on the MMA.

All I'm saying is big guys show off their $100,000 bets on Stake and my UFC betting history has perhaps brought a net of $3k - $4k profits, not a huge amount - and still - already limited.

That's the point here.

How come Pinnacle for instance (or Fairlay) - they accept UFC bets without any (small) limits and Stake doesn't?

Don't get me wrong - I want Stake to go to the next level, I want them to succeed, I am not against their site - we promote them on our sites and we would keep on doing so - but it's a shame they choose the limit option over options that their competitors are offering.

No I don't think it has been discussed many times here, and many players are not aware of it unfortunately. Moreover we have never seen a representative explaining why they are doing that, how it works precisely and how they decide to restrict one customer, until now.
It's not a fair and honest practice to shadow ban customers without notifying them. They should at least be transparent with the customers and telling them for which markets and for which amounts they are restricted precisely.

It would have been great if when you come to place a bet, you could click on a "Max" button and see the Max you could place beforehand (this way you won't have to deposit, then find out it's not going through and then you might have to rollover some of the deposit for regulations purposes).

Stake is still offering a good platform, topics like these are just meant to provide feedback and help them improve.

One way or another, Bet365 is well known for being a super quick website to limit players and still it's a very profitable business - so whatever Stake is doing is fine - no one should expect a business to accept/take all kind of bets.

The only disappointment is that Stake is a UFC partner, an official sponsor - so you would have expected the website to take more than usual bets, specifically on this kind of sports.

MMA nonetheless is one of the less "rigged" sports out there, because it's based on one single individual and has less factors to go against you, but - to a certain extent.

IMO, no one is at fault probably Stake decided to cap the account because its winning alot.

I have seen this in some land based casino sports books too.

You can bet $1000
I can bet $1000
This guy can bet $1000
That guy over there can bet $50

Go to another casino and that guy over there can bet whatever he wants.

Sometimes it's because they won a lot but in odd ways, other times it's because some automated system tagged something that the programmers thought should not happen.

No different then when casinos back off or limit bet changes to certain BJ players who were not counting, but going with their gut and got more lucky then the odds show they should have.

have you tried to find out who the owner of the twitter account is? I think that will be able to answer a little about the curiosity of why he can bet a large amount when you don't even though it is on the same event.
I checked he is a youtuber whose twitter account is followed by stake.com, my guess is they have a collaboration so they can have a very high limit bet but that's just my guess.
What is certain is that it is because of the betting limit, because becoming a sponsor of the UFC will certainly not eliminate the betting limit of each player on the sports betting

Ok, glad youve now seen where the issue lies, its nothing to fret about, limiting accounts for the sole reason of winning to much is something thats very original for several casinos if not all.
My advice is maybe to contact customer care to see if there is anything required to lift the limit, maybe like any special kind of verification or something, atleast, this will help you know what to do to have the limit lifted, let it now be up to you to decide to comply or not.

I have a friend that have had his account limited three times on the same casino, the first account which he verified with his document was limited for winning too much, he registered another account and verified it with his sister's documents, and after about six months, the account was limited, he registered another account on the same casino and used he's elder brother's document to verify the account, and after about eight months, the account was limited, i think he later registered another account which he is currently using but now, he's the one that limits himself from winning too much so that the account wont be limited again, and his been successful with it for about a year now and counting.

their odds provider need to start adjusting limits for winners , it's understandable to limit winners when they are constantly beating the book in certain unpopular leagues or sports
but stake provider limits bettors even in top events to insanely tiny amounts when pinnalce have much higher limits and even higher odds

if just Fairlay had a better UI and more coins , it would be the dream place for bettors without needing any other book

I have not seen such things in the past. There should be no such restrictions.
I believe there might have been some breach of policies or terms and conditions that may have led to this.
I suggest you consult the customer support team; they can guide you better.
