If you wanted to load a Kialara you can, but not many do since the piece basically needs to be broken to redeem. Not sure what you mean by "if overloaded are they swept". If you are asking if the creator of the piece will sweep any amount loaded above face value, no, that sure never happen. The private key to unlock the loaded coins should only be ever exist on the coin itself, usually under a hologram, they should not exist anywhere else and the creator/mint shouldn’t keep a copy at all,

Amazing and very rare piece. Do you by any chance know how many of the normal metal ball versions there are? If I remember correctly there also was one with ceramic balls?
Good luck with your sale, a little out of my range right now.

It’s about time to re-organize my bitcointalk reference links. 20 out of 2520 it is then? Crazy rare piece! Also good to know silver version is more rare than ceramic, I always thought it’s the other way round.

Interesting lore associated with this.
>Max originally intended on creating 250 Ruby Labyrinth. He ordered 100 ruby bearings to start with but unfortunately the bearings didn't turn out as red as he liked. With the 100 ruby bearings he created 20 Ruby Labyrinths, numbered 01/250 - 20/250.
I can see the perfectionism at play here, looking at the pictures of this piece, the Ruby color is slightly lighter than the red he opted for in the insignias and texts. This is exactly why the Kialaras are so sought after, Max holds himself to an ideal far above the rest. Good luck with your sale!

One thing I love about the Kialara pieces is that it would be near impossible to fake a ruby by swapping out the balls inside a silver to red beads and passing it off as a 1/20 ruby, you would have to basically destroy the pieces replacing the balls I don’t think these are numbered, but you should be pretty safe knowing what you got is original as long as it’s not damaged I remember when Max released these, regret not buying one now.
Edit: Has anyone seen fake Kialara’s yet? I really hope they don’t pop up

Other than just a "simple" coin, Kialaras are such intricately detailed works, I doubt anyone right now would go through the insane hassle to try and fake them. It would be so much easier to fake a Cas or other high-funded tokens than a Kialara. Even tempering with it (like replacing the rubies or gems from other Kialara products) would be way too complex compared to easier targets. I highly doubt we have to worry much in that regard for now. That being said, it's ofc always a good idea to be cautious when buying a 2nd hand crypto-collectible and check for any inconsistencies.

For specific series of Kialara Labyrinth there were 3 different ones: 2015 Kialara Labyrinth Mintage: 2500; 01-700 (.999 silver bearings), 701-1000 (ceramic bearings) 2015 Kialara Ruby Labyrinth Mintage: 20
Couldn't find source but IIRC The ceramic bearings are #701-1000. Due to some error in outer piece, not all were made and ended at 1000
Great piece though and only 20 Ruby Balls made, Holy Grail to the Labyrinth Series. Good luck
