Based on recent trend in Bitcoin, this is the worst year in crypto history and the year is not over yet. I was talking to a friend this morning concerning the current crypto trend and guess what? This dude is loosing hope already.

And I don't even know how to encourage myself to invest more in Bitcoin, is it right for me to go ahead and buy the dip ?

I haven't yet it was the worst year in crypto as we never know precisely if this is more dump to come someday.
But I have not to think about it nor do I bother myself about the dump because this will actually come for we can't dictate the market where it goes. I have faith in Bitcoin, it dumps but soon recovers just like the past bear season. It drops more if we lose hope and faith but if we keep strong and learn to hold, recovery is not impossible.

Buy the dip as long as you can afford to risk and wait for the bull market. But if not, better keep what you have and hold them.

Owning bitcoin must have a strong belief and patience because with that we will not be affected when bitcoin drops or even drops sharply, as we saw in the previous bitcoin journey, which in the end the bitcoin price recovered and even continued to increase.
bitcoin is not easy to predict and also very volatile which happens due to several unforeseen factors, don't panic with the decline that occurs because actually this decline is a big discount to buy and hold it for the long term. And if you don't want to make a purchase because you're worried that prices will continue to fall, it's better to Hodl and exit the market so you don't stress out and come back when you've recovered.

Well then your friend is worst than you, and probably a Newbie, I am sure we would see him again when the bull market comes in, this has been the big mistake less experienced members keep making, the lose hope and run during the bear probably selling off at a loss and come back again during the bull and buying when the price is high.

Let it not surprise you that many people are actually praying for the dip and the drop in price is a dream come through for them, especially about Bitcoin, they always want to buy more at a cheaper rate, I think you should educate your friend on crypto-currency volatility.

First, this is not the worse year in crypto history because every bearish is always like this. I mean whenever the last bottom is about to be achieved it is always triggered by some statement made by powerful influence.
In 2018 we see something related to this event caused by FTX when Steve Wozniak make a public statement about selling all his BTC holding that at bought when BTC was $700 per coin.

Is this not a good opportunity to buy again? your friend may buy too high, but when it becomes a long-term investment of course must hold it until the main price target is reached. having sufficient cash reserves for the time being is certainly necessary.

Seeing the current price looks cheaper becomes a good opportunity to multiply profits. some altcoins even crash more than -50%. such as FTT and SOL which are my choices to buy at the moment. But remember that these two altcoins are highly risky due to the hype between SBF and CZ.

I thought bitcoin had seen its dip for the bearish session but it seems I was mistaken. Its amazing how the market keeps playing the smart one on all of us and no matter how much we try, we often end up being wrong most times.
17k felt like a good spot to call it a dip but between yesterday and the day before, it touched 16k and that's scary. Right now, am not so sure we've reached the dip but that's okay. One thing I know for sure is, we've neve lost except we sell and that's one thing am trying not to do.
After the bears, comes the bulls and so, we've got to wait.

Just to have that common sense.When is the right time to buy up cheap coins? On a hyping or bullish market? Its never been suiting out on doing such thing.Of course you would really be considering on buying

If you think this is the worst cryptocurrency Market ever then it is not true,  what is happening in the market right now is not new. Cryptocurrency bear markets in the past are always like this, you need to make research about cryptocurrency market to see how the bear market used to be in the past. He shouldn't loose hope about the recent market, let him understand he can still recover more by hodling.

Seem worst bear market because of the various events that has taken place before and during this bear which kept us where we are right now, Fed hawkish monetary policy basically interest rate hykes contributed to this bear market, that is Fed shrinking liquidity and running off its balancsheet.

As to Buying more Bitcoin, The best to accumulate Bitcoin is when there is blood in the street of crypto , therefore the market is giving you more discount, so invest the amount you can afford to loose with good DCA.

Is it possible that your friend is new to the cryptocurrency industry?  If so, it is understandable that he will be giving up hope especially when all he read on the internet is FUD.  Worst, streamers even exaggerated things saying Bitcoin is doom and will fail but you should advise him not to believe them.

If you look at the entire price chart of BTC, you will find out that there is always this kind of situation where Bitcoin will heavily bleed but at the end, it will eventually recover and even records new ATH.  I think that is a good enough reason to keep our trust in the BTC market.

And for those who have seen this kind of movement before, I would say that this is just a test for everyone, to make the right decision. Why do you conclude this year is the worst year of crypto history?
In my opinion, this year is almost the same as previous years where the bearish season happened.
During the bearish season, it is normal if there are some big drops, it is not surprising at all. If your friend loses hope already, it means your friend doesn't understand crypto market and doesn't know the chance to buy with the cheapest prices. You must remind your friend that don't expect to buy now, it is the time to buy coins. You are in the wrong year if expecting bullrun!!!

Always expect the worst, it is possible that we might see another bottom if the condition of the market sentiment do not improve.  The news about FTX is overly sensationalized which I think that manipulators had taken advantage of this news to bring FUD to the market.

If you have more fund to throw into cryptocurrency then by all means buy the dip.  DCA as the price goes lower.  It will be well rewarded when the BTC rallies though I think you need to wait for years possibly until 2025.

This is the problem for weak investors who are not used to seeing the price in its worse situation. They have no idea that it's only temporary and the price will recover soon. Moreover this is not the worse year for Bitcoin, how about the year 2018? and the price during pandemic wherein the price plunged to $4k? If i'm not mistaken it is year 2020. So DYOR to understand why this is happening because it's not unusual.

Remember, the dip is the best time to buy to be a huge gainer in the future but it takes a lot of patience. Just check the price history for the previous years to have an idea if it's worth it to invest in Bitcoin.

It's been the worst year for crypto holders, but it's not the worst year in crypto history, because this has happened before. If you check bullrun history from year to year. Of course there will be dumps all of a sudden. There is no pump running continuously without ending with a dump.

It is possible that bear market conditions will continue until 2023. The global economic crisis is also the main problem for crypto prices dropping. However, we hope that changes will occur soon, and the market will improve again.

There's a storm and there's a sunny day and this is where market behaves.We cant really just a single movement.We do have bear and bullish trend which it could really last for a while or just a short one.

This market had been unpredictable or speculative since from the beginning and there's no way that we could able to predict on where it would be heading next.We dont know on how deeper it would be

This may be the worst year in terms of the bear because the duration of the bear this time was long compared to other years but about btc value? No it isn't. A price of 17k usd per btc was still high compared to what we have last few years ago. I remember btc did even drop to $3k after hitting then ath. People should still be thankful instead of complaining but dips are not a curse rather it was a blessing.

I guess people already know why so there is no need for me to explain this again. Who among your friend is more older in terms of involvement in crypto? If it was you then you know better so you shouldn't be affected on what he said because he knows less.

I think the second idea is easier to do so it is not stressed with price movements, buy once and then save it in cold wallet and wait until the price rises 10x or 100x, the great potential of Bitcoin is no doubt in the future, I'm sure the price will soon recover and skyrocket so that Makes many people regret for spending moments to buy at low prices.

Any BTC assets that have been purchased are highly recommended to be added to cold wallets as undefined movement patterns can make us change plans for long term containment, a lot of news is currently being "manipulated" to increase market panic so the market has declined significantly but we also should take advantage of the increase in assets in the portfolio, I believe the market will recover for the next year as the market has suffered losses and has dropped in price to its lowest point.

How long is long enough for a long term. Many had bought Bitcoin when it was in its ATH and kept hearing about long term hoard. It really sad seen this coin getting more longer red candles at different intervals. I know the major correction will come but the urge to sell and solve some pressing need will arise. Most times i wish it was just a bunch of short term investment.
