I think this is a very broad question and very important! If we are talking about the usefulness or unsuitability of blockchain technology! I agree with you that too little attention is paid to the usefulness of technology and too much attention is paid to the financial side. I find that normal, and you don't need to laugh or get mad at them because you already know they don't know anything about bitcoin.
