I really wonder why thoughts like these are popping into your head. What's in it for Elon Musk to buy bitcointalk?

Bitcointalk is a community based forum mainly discussing bitcoin, its development and other cryptocurrencies. A discussion forum like this wouldn't be very profitable for him so Elon wouldn't be interested in offering it. After all, Elon Musk is also not real crypto maniac who supports bitcoin and such, he is just a joke.

I don't think musk will buy bitcointalk. He doesn't show his love for Bitcoin. The forum is full of senior bitcoin buyers, and his remarks have no influence in the forum. Musk is definitely prioritizing what the consequences are.

Musk very well loved bitcoin, but he didn't show it frankly because limited to business, he is not forthright because entering a market for people who don't love bitcoin.

I speculate he went to the dogecoin demogrpahic rather than BTC primarily due to the gullibility of believers.

I was a fan until recent years. I'm really curious about his crypto moves along with his influence how much he's been able to accumulate via manipulation since his entry.

He can buy anything he wants including this forum but the question is what does he buy it for and what benefit does it bring him? I think he's rich but he's not crazy to buy something that doesn't benefit him. The fact that he bought twitter because it benefits his work, you know he is an entrepreneur and owns 5 companies so needing a social network is essential. Unlike twitter, bitcointalk is just a place to discuss cryptocurrency or discuss gambling, it has nothing to do with his current business.

Elonmusk Bitcoin No way he can buy this platform is no joke. It is not a newbie platform that anyone can buy if they want. For example Twitter company has bought this Elon musk. It might be possible for him because of the fact that he has made the Twitter company his own. There's no reason for him to do that unless he has something in his mind that we don't really understand but I'm pretty sure that they won't sell this community because the people who contribute their countless hours to support this community is cannot be paid with money. Especially those users that are like living in the future when it comes to their computer knowledge. I don't think that's even possible because inorder to buy something it needs to be on sale.
Bitcointalk is not for sale which is why not even Elon Musk would be able to buy it.
Currently Theymos is moderating the forum and I don't think he is hungry for money which is why he would definitely reject any deal Elon Musk would offer.

I don't think that theymos and other staffs will give up this forum just for the sake of money. I doubt that theymos will sell this forum to anyone even the richest billionaires out there. We culture satoshi nakamoto ideology here and if somebody acquire this forum like Elon Musk who doesn't have that ideology. I think this forum will not be the same as it was before and there's a possibility that this forum will lose forum members even the ones who has reputations here. Satoshi will be disgusted if ever this forum is sold. I think there's  0 chance of this forum to be sold, Though it can be transferred to the next generation people. We never know.

Before Elon would even think of buying this forum, surely Reddit would go first since it is much larger community to at least be in his own hands. Considering the recent Twitter drama about him, he will surely target larger companies and not just a single forum out of boredom.

Because bitcointalk is not a fancy platform to build connections and shill your posts to walls, notifications of other users who are in or not in your connection/ friend/ follower list.

It is different than social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter when your notifications will be spammed with many statuses and tweets from others.

Bitcointalk is not a place for Elon Musk to play with his jokes that he always loves to do.

The thread struck me as a joke. Now that we know what Elon is after, we should know he goes beyond the fame and the money. A fund of that size is not available on Bitcointalk for the world's wealthiest. Like Twitter, how many people use and visit the forum? In the near future, many people will leave Twitter and a similar app will replace it, so Jack Dorsey won't be happy he sold that app to him. I don't see any possibility in Elon's case of buying this forum. And I'm pretty sure this Forum won't be for sale even if someone comes along with an offer higher than the price of the twitter Elon bought it for.

I don't think he has the soul of an antique collector, he founded Tesla and Space with the purpose of creating the future of humanity, he is a modernist. Also, I agree with most of the points here, he only buys what it is profitable for him, he won't buy things that don't make a profit and don't generate too much buzz.

I agree with you that the future is unpredictable but looking at the current situation, I wouldn't change my prediction about Elon's acquisition of this forum. Forum is almost useless for him, if he is a Satoshi fan then bitcoin is a better choice for him. Although he is still talking about bitcoin, there are doubts whether he is really interested in bitcoin or just trying to find a way to profit himself like he did with bitcoin and doge in 2021. If bitcoin is really just a profit making tool and he leaves after achieving his goal then the forum will be nothing to him.
