Well, it says here that Tank Davis should have a win in his first bout versus Hector (his debut in 135 lbs.) so that his fight with Ryan Garcia will go through afterwards. Now, that time frame is too short to prepare for a fight with Hector Garcia, don't know which they're underestimating between the two Garcia's because the fight schedule is just too close with each other with just only 2 months of preparation.

It was really a surprise for me that they had another promotion in between. This game will be a warm-up for Davis, I don't think there is any danger. Now this is a tune up fight. I think it's just right for Davis to prepare against Ryan with an undefeated fighter, although I don't think this Hector Luis has the same boxing pedigree with the two. Obviously, Hector Luis Garcia is a decent boxer, having an undefeated record in his 16 fight with 10 KO's.  Not as explosive as Davis but I think the fight is quite decent.  It looks like another unblemished record to be broken again by Davis.  I also agree that this is a great boost to Hector Luis profile especially if he won this fight.(which is highly unlikely)

I do not expect this fight to be very competitive. Hector Garcia is coming up in weight and lacks the experience to compete with Tank Davis. Putting this fight on pay-per-view is ridiculous. They are trying to milk their cash cow which is why they're going after Ryan next instead of the undisputed champion Devin Haney.

All this time I thought Gervonta Davis would fight Ryan Garcia directly. I think that was the original plan but it was moved to a much later date next year. This is better for Davis because he will have a good tune up fight months before his fight against Ryan Garcia. Ryan on the other hand had his last fight in July of this year. So it would be almost a year for him to have his next fight. But I am surprised how close Davis' fights are. It seems he can't have much time to relax after his fight in January because April is another fight month and he'll be training hard for it months before.

If he is not that hurt and there's really nothing serious to recover from, Davis could just take a few weeks to rest and then start training once again for Ryan's fight. But if he will be hurt and get an injury, the Ryan fight will have to be moved to another date.

That's what I'm thinking as well but we cannot really blame them if they wouldn't believe this fight for now because they have just witnessed a long-awaited fight that fell into pieces just because of the politics in this industry. Not sure why the fight hasn't materialized but I think it's already crystal clear what might be the reasons.

Anyway, as for Tank Davis-Ryan Garcia fight, I've heard that they will make it happen in the month of April and it was rumored to happen in Las Vegas. We can expect the best from this fight because two legends have been working for this.
