I enjoy it a lot but it's not compulsive gambling. I had money problems because of it in the past but that's over after i set up rules and a system for myself. Why you guys are taking addiction as purely a negative traits of a gambler?

I've know some gamblers that really loses that much in gambling but even if they can be considered addicted, they are still on their normal self.

As long as the gambler is responsible on his non-gambling activities, there is no problem being an addicted gambler.

I gamble once a week, $20, regularly. There are times when I don't play simply because I don't feel like it, and never have I gambled on weekdays even if I have the luxury of time. Perhaps that makes me not an addict but rather someone who isn't really into gambling that much. It gives me leisure and it brings me enjoyment, but I can definitely live without it. Heck, I think I'm more addicted in coffee or in vaping even though I recently acquired my liking with it. Fortunately in my country gambling is not allowed, otherwise I would be lost!

It's either someone will admit that they are addicted, or would be in denial. Personally, I do go to traditional land based casinos, have fun and of course try to make money. But in the end if my budget is busted, then I just go home, not my lucky day. So I would consider myself as a recreational gambler per se. If those aspects were affected then I'd consider one to be pretty addicted to it. E.g. if a rich person were just to gamble away every day I wouldn't necessarily think it was addiction, I'd only consider it if it was actually harming you but if you have the capability to enjoy it to that level then I say feel free to do so.

I have always kept a very high degree vigilance on my gambling patterns, so I never developed a gambling addiction, and this is because I have seen how difficult it can be to leave an addiction behind and this is not something I wanted for myself.
