Sad to hear that but to mind off that there are lots who had lost bigtime with that FTX issue.This do really tell us that there's always a risk on everywhere when you do really deposit out funds into certain

platforms which is centralized and as for gambling then it would be an another story since this is basically taking about leisure sites which does really need up that funds for you to play.

People do get addicted because they are really longing for winnings which if ever they do lost a bet then they would really be chasing it up.

I would say am an addict because I just cant stop myself from this habit of gambling..funny enough I always try to take a break from the act because it's does so many emotional things to me..
But that rush or feeling That tells you  keep on trying you are going to win in your next try just keep playing in your head..

everything and as a gambler you can always start with the intention of winning enough but most times you just end up regretting your whole actions

at first most of us enters casino for pleasure and Leisure but eventually as we go ahead and experienced winning specially that one can called Beginners Luck?

there is no need for an expert to justify addiction , if you can spend too much money in gambling , too much time , and too much risk then you are already an addict .

I'm not sure about this... we spend money time in food and that doesn't mean we are addict to it.

Indeed, telling the people closest to us about the addiction that we experience is not an easy thing, but if it is done it will really help us to get out of addiction even though there will still be people who are closest to us who will actually leave us because maybe they don't understand how to deal with it. people who are addicted, but if we have an environment that can support us to get out of addiction it is very happy.

Keeping the funds in an exchange is a really grave mistake from any crypto enthusiast and I believe all of us here in the forum are enthusiasts so we should keep all our crypto in wallets where we own the private keys and in exchanges or trading platforms leave only the balance meant to trade.

The question is, are you a gambling addict? Not exchange funds or keep funds on any centralized exchanges. You gambled actually by leaving your money on the FTX exchange because you trusted their judgement initially on their small developments but that doesnt make you an addict, you did that because you trust them being a non-custodial exchange is in form of gambling and not addiction. I'm little into addiction, because I spend what I've kept aside for some prime need. The article gives a big list of contents. Going through the entire article will give an overview on how to stay away from gambling addiction. In all means if the gambler himself doesn't have the control, there is no way to get out of addiction through meditation, medication, drugs and other measures.

We really need to make sure that we don't become an addict over night without we knowing it. I know some persons that can't still believe that they are real addict but still wants to argue it to any limit. Personally speaking, I am not a gambling addict nor I see myself being one in the future. This is simply because I am disciplined enough to know where to draw the line. It's okay what was said in the article dude, and everything mentioned is true. It's just that addiction only starts when a gambler experiences frequent wins by a player.
