What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning

I must say that I'm now a Bitcoin addict and an ardent fan/supporter of Satoshi Nakamoto and the good initiative Bitcoin technology has brought to the world. But there are these questions that have been ringing in my head day and night as I continue to be curious about this man/men that brought this revolution to the financial space.

I would like people to furnish me with their views even though I personally believe that he would have been haunted by the world governments at the initial stage.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?

He might be a target of all scammers all over the world, especially now that they are aware that bitcoin is very valuable and that Satoshi must have the highest amount of bitcoin hodlings. However, with government opposition even at the present, Satoshi may also face a lot of accusations as he could also be a target of authorities. Although the spotlight is on him, but let’s say not all people would be happy for him.

I honestly never know what Satoshi thought about his privacy in bitcoin's early years ^{[when bitcoin was not yet valuable].} We're only speculating about him right now, but he's too smart to keep that up until now. Whether he was male or female, we never really knew until recently.

Making himself famous only put him in danger, but I don't think Satoshi really thought about it in the first place, but quickly changed after bitcoin was in huge demand. Of course this is just my opinion, no need to argue because I'm just a bit logical.

No one would expect that bitcoin will go this far and maybe Satoshi is not an exception. His only goal by then was just to have freedom from fiat currency that’s why he end up inventing bitcoin. But let’s say if he’s known today, not all people will acknowledge him especially those government officials as they will question Satoshi why he invented bitcoin. And since it’s against the law, Satoshi might face his popularity inside the jail.

Definitely, he is putting himself in danger. Despite of the acknowledgement and well praises from the bitcoin enthusiasts, the government officials will also be eyeing on him and if they see that Satoshi should be given proper sanction because of bitcoin, then he might stay the rest of his lives being imprisoned. For us, Satoshi is a hero, but for the people from authorities, he’s a threat.

Even if they catch Satoshi now, they won't be able to stop Bitcoin because of the way it was designed. The cryptocurrency has a lot of nodes and miners supporting it worldwide, so it would take a lot of time and effort to shut it down for good. Not even Satoshi would be able to do anything about it, as it's all about consensus.

Because Bitcoin is open source, any compromise on the Blockchain could easily trigger a new chain with its own set of rules. It's virtually unstoppable. They only chance governments would've had to stop Bitcoin was back in its very beginnings. Kudos to Satoshi remaining anonymous since day one. I hope he stays that way for the good of Bitcoin and the whole crypto/Blockchain space. Just my thoughts

For sure he/she would already taken by government or someone has a bad intention on him. There are a lot of negative aspects if he  reveal his identity before that is why he is very smart to not disclosed any information as it is not only his life would be affected also with his relatives and it was catastrophe on them. Now it's too late to stop bitcoin because it has become too big to stop. But if at that time the government catches him, then I think it will be easier for them, it will be a lot easier to stop bitcoin. And I don't think they'll kill him, that's a negative thought. He is a genius, so the government will use his brilliant mind to work for them rather than kill him because if he dies, bitcoin will still live and thrive. In short, no matter what they say, it's too late to stop bitcoin .

The government cannot do anything anymore to stop bitcoin because its usage and adoption will be here for good already as even Satoshi don't have its full control anymore. So even if authorities will take on hold to Satoshi and accuse him of how bitcoin destroy fiat and central banks, that won't create any positive result because the bitcoin miners and owners now are now in full control with bitcoin, and not those third party or entities.

If satoshi did not stay anonymous from the beginning he would be either dead or imprisoned today, because the threat his invention represent to those in authoritarian positions of power and because his wealth.

There was also the possibility he could have gotten held at gun point by some intelligence agency to undermine Bitcoin's purpose by creating backdoors, etc.

We have to admit that Bitcoin is unstoppable. Governments can't do anything about it even if they find who Satoshi really is. My guess is that they will try to force Satoshi to sell all of is Bitcoins to cause a huge decline in market prices. After that, most people will lose confidence in BTC as a store of value (especially when they're only focused on making money with it). It will take a long time before BTC recovers back to its original market prices.

While the odds of governments finding Satoshi are slim, we cannot discard this from happening sometime in the future. Bitcoin has been going strong for 14 years now, so I'm confident it will last for generations. Just my thoughts

The target by scammers is not even in my head and will not be an issue because the BTC would still be new then. No scammer would dare to steal such, and it's dangerous as it was highly traceable by the inventor since there was no much patronage then. Also, it has a low value at that time, so scammers will not look in his direction.

I don't think his goal is freedom from fiat because no one would be free from fiat, and if that is his goal, then the goal is not yet realized. I believe his goal is privacy and to reduce the dominance of fiat, not to curb it, and it's being actualized with low transaction fees and anonymity of transactions.

Are you kidding me? You better don't think about it this way, thank goodness that Satoshi was wise enough in his plan. If the whole world government wants to disapprove of crypto today, it will just go to zero patronage immediately. They will block all access points and that ends it.

No government will be after him anymore, and even if they dare to, am sure that world protests would erupt because of him. Bitcoin is not a threat, and other blockchains have evolved and no government is threatening them and their developers, so satoshi is not the bone of contention anymore. It might have been the issue initially, but technology has advanced beyond that.

You never can tell, this is a matter of extreme privacy and anyone on the forum might not know him, not even @theymos. And truly, Satoshi can never be a single person, and yet the pseudonym is worth it and will always represent the group well no matter how many members they have.

I'm very sure that banks will be part of what would be sponsoring the threat, that is even as the government of many countries would kick against it. Bitcoin was never suspected much at first, but the clampdown would have been much as it gains traction among people. Still, I give the US kudos for staying with cryptocurrency, it would have been a different story if they didn't.

Other coins won't be that lucky, especially when most of their founders/creators are widely known by the public. I'm talking about Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin, Cardano's Charles Hoskinson, and Polkadot's Gavin Wood. These projects don't stand a chance against government prosecution in the future.

At any moment, mainstream governments can hunt these founders to try to harm the aforementioned projects for good. Besides, the vast majority of altcoins are centralized. Therefore, it's likely Bitcoin will survive while the rest of the coins will become history. Who knows where Satoshi is right now? Just my opinion

His departure gives Bitcoin to community. Nobody can individual affect Bitcoin protocol or can impact community with a single tweet. If Satoshi Nakamoto tweet, his tweets can lift market up and down a lot.

Other coins won't be that lucky, especially when most of their founders/creators are widely known by the public. I'm talking about Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin, Cardano's Charles Hoskinson, and Polkadot's Gavin Wood. These projects don't stand a chance against government prosecution in the future.

Altcoins are fully controlled by their founders, core teams and technically, those coins can be decided by internal guys. DAO votes are non sense if most of vote powers belong to founders and core teams.

I think he did that not only because he knew it would be illegal, but also the betterment of the project itself as well. If he ousted himself and talked about it, then it would have been pulled from one side to another and there would have been arguments. But since he never disclosed who he is, we will always think of him as nobody, and we will never consider him in our purchases.

I do not buy because of anything satoshi said, he is a mute point for me and that is why it was a good decision. Of course law was another reason, probably a big reason as well because he would probably be jailed by now, but I think bitcoins better future was the main reason.

we may not be enjoying the benefits of the existence of crypto market. if the government has known his identity, they may have thrown a lot of legal issues to him. so yeah, better it this way. as he won't be accused of issues such as money laundering, and other conspiracy theories. better leave his identity a mystery so people won't think that he is taking advantage of being the creator of this currency. we don't even know if he is still alive or not. but for sure, a lot of people are trying to locate his whereabouts and all.
