I have been in this forum for like three weeks now reading different topics from people, and I have learnt more in these weeks than I have known since. The same news about bitcoin value being low that is discouraging many people from it is the same news that has attracted me here. This is my first topic, it took me a while to gather the courage because I am somehow Timid, I hope that I am welcomed here.

Everybody is welcome here that's why you can see many ideas other perspective coming from different people and since you are new to crypto or bitcoin to be specific then maybe 3 weeks of learning it is not enough. Try to grab more knowledge on it and search some good articles via surfing it on google since you can reach out some important statistics also other things what you need.


Also try to read what people discuss to know the insights and sentiments of the people on current condition of the industry. Anyways good luck so hopefully you will have courage to try since crypto really change lives if you spend more time to learn more about it.

Well, when you say you heard some news about Bitcoin's devaluation, and that attracted you here.... how's that?  sounds funny to me.
You've done well to lookup things in here for yourself, without asking questions, as you said you're three weeks old but this is just your first post? How I'm I sure you've read through the rules of this forum? Or maybe that's overemphasize? No way!!
Secondly, have you had any knowledge about Bitcoin proir to your registration? If yes then you're not gonna have much difficulties in here. Feel free to ask any questions where necessary.

Although Bitcoin has very good history on 2017 and the last year, also many people give a prediction Bitcoin would reach new ATH on the next few years later. Don't forget Bitcoin has high volatility and anything can happen, the first rule of investment is ready to accept the risk if your speculations goes wrong. Bitcoin might not become dead coin since it's the biggest coin among other cryptocurrency, but there's no guarantee Bitcoin will create new ATH.

If anyone tells you that bitcoin a way to wealth, it means you should invest in bitcoin at the appropriate time so that you can make money from it when bull run start. A time in 2020, bitcoin was $7000, but in 2021, it reached $69000 before falling back to $16000 now. If you have bought it at $7000 in 2020 and sold some at $50000 in 2021, that is not a small amount of profit. You can just do that now too when bitcoin price has already falled and find a good investment means by investing in it.

You're always welcome in this forum community and you should know that here is one of the best places you can be with regards to getting most knowledge about Bitcoin as this forum was founded by Satoshi himself who is also the founder of Bitcoin.
You should first take your time to learn the rudiments and basic concept of Bitcoin before finally jumping into investing real money into it and now is also one of the best times to buy Bitcoin and hold as the market is currently bearish.

Don't depend on only bitcoin to make yourself some wealth because it has to do with the timing. Yes if you invest while price is low and about driving up well you may be lucky to have some profit depending on how long the bull last. I don't subscribe that people should keep the idea of btc making them wealthy , just have it as an option to your investment or you invest after close to halving and immediately after the halving because it is shorter to expect profit then than locking up your capital for long and expecting profit that you could get if you invested in a fast turn over business even with little profit the fast turn over can lead to good margin profit on long time.

Yeah bitcoin is a tool to wealth but I don't regard it to be a means to getting immensely rich by huge profits from it although its possible when you got it at a lower price but this takes time and patience something many humans lack.

In my opinion its a tool to wealth because its a store of value. With it your money is save from excessive devaluation like local fiat's, also an hedge against inflation. This are my tools to wealth.

That's true, unfortunately.
If you have a steady flow of cash from a job or a business, you can always put 10% of it into bitcoin each month and not worry about the price. What's the worst thing that can happen? Bitcoin goes down 20%? You just lose 10% of your 10% which is like nothing. When you're someone with no income investing their savings, a 20% reduction in that can make you lose sleep.

That's also what made me interested in 2015 when we were scraping the bottom.
Invest what you're comfortable with. Bitcoin will be higher than it is today, but we won't give you the exact time. It can be next year or in 3 years. Make sure you can survive without the money you put in bitcoin for at least 3 years, without having to borrow money or sell your home to buy food

However, what happened in the past won't happen again. That Bitcoin could grow a thousand fold is a thing of the past. It was true before. Sadly, it cannot happen once more.

Welcome to the forum. Did your friend mention bitcoin or bitcointalk? In any case I think you will be disappointed if you continue to believe that bitcoin is the step to wealth. There isn’t a lot of money to be made here, bounties and signature campaigns are the only way to earn bitcoins unless you have a skill or service you can advertise on services board. The perception that bitcoin is a backdoor to getting rich fast is wrong, and you will only end up falling for scammers.

It could be a step to wealth if you have plenty of it and you bought it at a very cheap price. Rigt now you could consider one, but are you sure that it has some sort of backdown too. If you have no income from work or business its really hard to rely on bitcoin investment unless you are a philanthropists that have many buying power for that.
