Every one had the chance for now, because Germany had only strong before. But the team like England, Spain, Japan had the good chance of winning now. Japan game against Germany was the impressive one. Spain and Argentina had the strongest game as compared to many of the small countries. England and Brazil will have the strongest game and will take place in the final for sure. Japan was top most team in the league. They made a good match against the Germany, their players had good skills .

I thought we should start a thread where we could speculate about who would be the teams meeting in this year's Soccer world Cup final.
I was innitially predicting to see England vs Germany at the final, but the wway Germany demonstrated to have their team, it doesn't seem to me that they will get too far.
From what I have seen from the first matches, I believe there is a strong chance of seeing a Spain vs England match at the final of the world cup.
So, what are your predictions???

I was sure that final was betweene Brazil and England, but it seems i know  even less about teams that i thought. Then again all kind of realism went down the toilet with argentina versus saudi arabia, game so i guess the new reality is "anything goes". I think i might even the one with highest odds now. That could be the new trend in footbal because all i thought i knew about it is gone and it's mostly guesswork for me now.

After round 1 and now when the round 2 started of the group stage only teams i see in the final are Brazil and Spain so far they showed the most out of all of the teams. Argentina and Germany now are struggling even to pass the group so for them they first need to do that. England played awful today and if they play like this i dont see them even in the semis

According to my observations, a team that deserves and has a very big chance to enter the final is Brazil, because Brazil has a very complete squad to win the world cup title this year, they also played very impressively against Serbia in the first round, another team that made it to the final is England, even though England was held to a draw by the United States but I am still very confident that England will be able to reach the final of the Qatar world cup, even though Spain played very impressively against Costa rica and was able to score 7 goals, but I am not sure that Spain will be able to advance to the final, In my opinion, the rhythm of their game is very easy for the opposing team to guess.

The strongest prediction in my opinion is Brazil. The material for Brazilian players is very even and is filled by 90% of top club superstars.
The collective game was also very good, you can see it from the match statistics. But it always takes luck to win a World Cup.

I will pick brazil and spain. I consider about the good result that being achieved by both but it seems like that if spain was even stronger compared with brazil in this case. I would like to see both will be facing in the final of world cup in qatar, that will be very interesting to watch the match between the strongest team in the world cup at the final. I am considering Spain and France. I am still not convinced about Brazil because it took them extra effort to win Serbia. England displayed their weakness against USA and they might get knocked out in the round of 16. Portugal might show high performance but i am also not convinced. As for Argentina their match against Mexico will decide. My prediction is subject to changes as the competition progresses. But five countries will go far which include Portugal, Germany, Brazil, Spain, France and Iran. Iran is showing so much strength that everyone is ignoring.

I see four teams as favorites in the Qatar World Cup final, if Argentina can confirm the group stage, then these five teams, including Argentina,Spain France, England and Brazil, are very favorites in this World Cup.  In the last World Cup, Croatia was the favorite team in the final, but in this World Cup, Croatia is not the favorite team.  So I will make my prediction with five teams in the final.

I don't see England or Argentina in this. England allowing loose goals on them by Iran not good for me because a tough team won't be able to allow such loose two goals on them. They can score six goals but not to fantastic team.

Germany loosing to Japan can give Japan the confidence going harder to the games.
My prediction to this final is to see Spain, France, Brazil and Japan  

I honestly agree with you England can no where reach the final with their lacklustre and mediocre performance against USA in yesterday's match neither Argentina too will reach the final with the calibre and bunch of aging average players in the team, I tip Brazil  and Spain to reach the final provided that the countries won't play each other at any knockout stages before reaching the final, my prediction is that France will go far in the competition but will be eliminated in the knockout stage by a formidable team, meanwhile if Spain defeat Germany in tomorrow's match automatically Germany is out of the World Cup

I wouldn't keep Argentina and Germany ahead because they lost their first match against a weak team which shows their weakness. Here I expect France from Group D, Spain from Group E and Brazil from Group G. I hope one of these three can be the winner in the final. In particular, France won by 4 goals against Australia, Spain by 7 goals against Costa Rica and Brazil by 2 goals against Serbia. If France win today's match against Denmark, their position will be even more clear towards the next.

Brazil really showed a lot of quality in their first game, I think they are most likely to get to the finals. But I will have to watch the performance of the other teams in their second game to be sure before making a prediction who gets into the finals with Brazil. I even have to see how Brazil will play in their second game because the performance of a team can either decline or progress with every game. England who are favourites for some to get to the finals had a difficult time and could not find a way through the United States defense in their second game, so maybe that means that their first game where they scored a lot of goals may just have been a stroke of luck. I will wait for the second game before predicting.

I still believe in Argentina that they will be able to go further, final or even win in Qatar this year.
despite the poor result in their first game against Saudi Arabia but I see inside their capable squad and I think that way they can come back.

and for European teams at the moment there are only Spain and England I think they are strong, the rest are very difficult.
without putting aside teams like Brazil, Portugal, France, but my personal prediction is that in the Qatar world cup, Argentina will qualify for the final and even win.

This is thoughtful of you though the already existing threads about the world cup should have taken care of that. You could also have added a poll about this, it would be easier to know the percentage of people who support certain pairs of teams to play the final. However, I was a good supporter of Germany winning the world cup just like you, but with the present reality, it seems that the German team are not yet away from their slumbering like the last world cup, so they are not good to bet upon.

Still, I like to reserve my preference for now. I could not honestly decipher between England, Spain, Brazil, France, and even Germany since they still played once.

I don't see England in the final. If they don't meet a top team they might get to the semis. They have so much potential but they just don't play as a team. Also, for some reasons the coach always gets it wrong with his tactics and selection. I don't pretend to know more than him but why would Foden not play? They don't create a lot of chances and when a team with good players don't create a lot of chances, it can  only be blamed on the coache's tactics.

Spain, Brazil are a very good side. I would like to include Argentina but let's see how they  perform tonight first. Portugal also got a very solid squad too  but it seems they lack chemistry and rhythm. If they can work on that then they can go all the way.
Therefore my teams for the final include Brazil, Spain, Argentina.

England this time will surely destroy the other teams and become champions,, I am very sure because England has many extraordinary young players. On the front line, England has Saka, Mount, Sterling and Kane as well. I think that it's still one of the top choice of many outside forum because many are die hard fan of Messi. And if it's not Argentina then it's going to be Portugal.

I don't want to be too quick to pick a team that will win the world cup this time because underdog teams still have the potential to win against strong teams. This World Cup will give us a surprise which will show that each country's performance is good and it is appropriate to play with the superior teams. If the strong teams cannot perform well, they can be eliminated by the underdogs. Maybe Spain and England have a chance to survive until the final but the other teams will try too.

look at england, they couldn't even beat the USA in yesterday's game and it looked like the USA could win the game, england couldn't get in the USA goal, it was like england was being dominated by the USA, with that performance it can easily be seen that england will not have a chance to reach the final, they are not strong enough to beat big teams, their offense is not good, USA is not a great team for england to have as much difficulties as they had yesterday. that's why in my opinion england won't reach the final, but spain is on another level, if in the next game spain beats germany, which is also not good, but if spain manages to play well and win without too many difficulties then spain reached the final and could play against Brazil, which is very strong and has greater chances of reaching the final

my prediction is that if spain beats germany and passes to another stage with a good performance then they will manage to reach the world cup final and if brazil manages to play well in this group stage and pass to another stage then brazil will manage to reach the final of the world cup and will play against spain, but there is the truth that if today they win the game against denmark and then manage to pass to another phase, they will be big opponents of brazil or spain, so I would say that the final will be between brazil , france and spain. they are the only teams that, in my opinion, have shown that they play well, but that could change if frança loses today, if spain loses against germany and if brazil also loses in the next game

Spain, I think they have big potential to be the champion, when facing costa Rica they showed their quality and from there I believe they have tremendous potential compared to teams from other countries. Since the beginning I have always believed in Spain, there is no reason not to support them.
