Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?

I'm not a financial advisor to advise people what to do with their money, and I don't think anyone should do that unless they're in that business. People who invest their money on the recommendation of others usually blame them for possible failure, and you don't want to find yourself in that situation.

I personally know some people who preferred to have nice round numbers of something instead of 0.00xxx BTC, but that's more a kind of human perception of numbers than a meaningful investment. As far as I'm concerned, people can invest in anything, be it ordinary stones that they think is valuable, or various tokens and so-called stablecoins that have recently shown their real value.

First I will not advise anyone who gave no basic knowledge about Bitcoin to buy a whole unit of Bitcoin, unless there have some funds that they can afford to lock up for a while without any shaking even in the price go deeper than their entry price. I will rather advise them to go in with a smaller unit and a learning period so as for them not to jump in on a bad entry price and also build good knowledge before increasing their risk level to a whole Bitcoin unit or two. At the moment, bitcoin look to be the only choice for many of us here, because we are well aware of the characteristics of altcoin and there is no difference from Ponzi scheme only a few of them really have a use case majority of the remaining are just tools in the hand of their developer to milk investors money through the pump and dump scheme that is no difference with Ponzi. So I will rather build my portfolio in Bitcoin even if the market may look slow in movement at least I have a guarantee that my money will not go from 100 to 0 within a blink of an eye, or a CEO pulling off an exit scam on me.

bitcoin or altcoin depends on the use for its use.
if I were to become an investor, I would prefer bitcoin as an investment asset, because bitcoin is a cryptpcurency that is very feasible to store for the long term and is supported by a very limited amount of supply but the demand is increasing.
then you can be sure that at some point Bitcoin will experience a significant premium.

vice versa if a trader I would prefer altcoins because the price is not so high that it is easier to make consistent profits in a short time.

Would still recommend to invest on Bitcoin because the behavior of always going up even the price we currently have is down, it will reach next ATH anytime soon although it would take years. But some of the altcoins even though you bought lot of it, if it has no use case and has weak community support then it just worthless assets, it will die like other altcoins.

"One good altcoin" that means also people controlling that altcoin or rather the creator of it still maintaining this coin, would assume that anytime soon it will collapse. Just invest in Bitcoin if you are in doubt.

I think the potential is there & likelihood that you could make more profits by getting lucky & buying alts. However, it’s a bit of a lottery because you can see all the scams & rug pulls in ‘crypto’

Bitcoin will give you almost guaranteed profits if you can hold for a number of years. Tomorrow is not promised with alts so it’s a choice you have to make yourself.

With different sentiments coming from different people I think its not good to make this one as solid proof to create your decisions on investment since you can just make it as a guide to create your own one and try something more cooler to make it successful. If you have money to spend then don't focus only on bitcoin since it might kill your time waiting for it to pump up try to divide your money to different options since this will make your investment more exciting and potential to earn is big. But also make sure that you pick the top alts to avoid getting rugged pulled by scam tokens.

It depends if that specific person is looking for a long-term or short term investment, both can be profitable of course but I pick bitcoin decimals over 1 good altcoin. Bitcoin is bitcoin, it's been around for more than a decade now while the altcoins are not, so just to be sure, I will advise him/her to buy bitcoin because it already proved numerous times that it will always recover.

That really depends on your instincts. Your money, your decision, your risk, your responsibility. No one would stop you for trying to invest or trade in either Bitcoin or altcoins.

But when it comes to the real long term despite the uncertainties, I would go for Bitcoin and Ethereum. And for the rest? Between quick flip, short and mid term.

Don't rely on community alone. A good example is the Dogecoin, they have large and supporting community but their projects was good enough for investors to get interested for long term investment? of course not right? I suggest to buy Bitcoin even in decimals but there are some coins where you can buy whole like Ether or Litecoin having 1 Ethereum could get you rich in the future but that's not always the case you should consider the other factors like competition of that project and if the projects adapts to what is new.

But for me having Bitcoin even with small amount (less than 1) is a good investment, you wouldn't know what could be its value in the future.

I will advise my friends to buy bitcoins over altcoins, especially now that the situation is different than it was a few years ago. In my opinion, the current altcoin situation makes it difficult for us to choose an altcoin because there are many altcoins on the market that can increase at any time. To avoid mistakes, investing in bitcoin is a good choice for beginners so that they have hope of making profits in a bull market. Even though we still have altcoins that have the opportunity to increase, but that means the altcoins can increase at the right time because I feel there is a lag time for each altcoin to increase.

For anybody who doesn't hold any bitcoins yet this is a great time to buy your first coins in my opinion. Let's you don't hold any cryptos at all bd you looking for your first purchase, than I would advise to buy atleast 0.5 in bitcoins and the rest in alt coins. Going for large purchases in the alt coin market is not a bad idea, but we need to be aware that the volatility and risks of the price falling is much higher than when buying only bitcoins. In my opinion every crypto portfolio should hold bitcoins. In case our friend already holds some bitcoins and wants to make his first alt coin purchase, than I would advise him to only buy 0.2 bitcoins and the rest in his alt coins. Owning more than one crypto coin is a good idea to diversify our portfolio. Taking a bit advantage of the low price of Bitcoins right now makes still sense.

As I think, if you want to be millions, than altcoin is a good investment than btc. If you want a good profit than invest in btc. Few coins like shib inu, cec, btt, hot, doge, xlm is good sign after few years.

Bitcoins can also make you millions of dollars if you hold them long enough, altcoins can also bring you millions of dollars but can also cost you millions more. The altcoins you listed are just dead coins not comparable to bitcoin, they are just shitcoins that will soon disappear from the market.

Likewise, I will choose both, I always keep in mind that we are here to make money, so I will not miss out on any chance if I have the chance to make money. Bitcoin is the best investment but altcoins are not too bad, altcoins are riskier than bitcoin but the return will be more worth it. Diversify your investments for the best returns and minimize risk.

Actually, it depends on the amount of investment. My first choice is Bitcoin. All altcoins will fail if Bitcoin fails, which can destroy your entire investment.
Even some altcoins can be destroyed in some fluctuations, and your money will be lost completely.

Because investing in some altcoins can bring a lot of profit. For example, if you have 500 dollars. Invest $400 in Bitcoin and $100 in an altcoin. In this case, if the altcoin explodes, you will have a good profit.

Let's be clear on this first. If we're talking of doing the investment at a time like now with the bear season in place, I will advise that the cash be invested in Bitcoin. But if it's during a bull season I will advise that it be put in altcoins with utility. Bitcoin has a very strong and dedicated community, if not the strongest of all cryptos. The strength of its community has helped to demystified every FUD and negative press against Bitcoin. In terms of ROI, alts give better than Bitcoin. However, Bitcoin has a better surviving and long lasting rate than others.

I recently met a musician from Guatemala and he told me that he is interested in cryptocurrencies.  At the same time, of all cryptocurrencies, he prefers Bitcoin.  This is a very reasonable position...

In the long run, it makes sense not to invest in all cryptocurrencies, but only those that are of fundamental importance.  There are not many such cryptocurrencies.  These are Ethereum - the most famous cryptocurrency with smart contracts, Monero - the most famous anonymous and private cryptocurrency. 

But the most famous cryptocurrency is Bitcoin!  Bitcoin has the best chance of being a big success and bringing its investors big profits in the long run.

Personally, given the direction the market is heading, it would be wise to invest in bitcoin. What happened to FTX IT and Luna clearly demonstrates that not all altcoins can survive the bear. In addition to considering the potential profit from altcoins, you should also consider the risk involved in doing so. Even if the thing is set up as a loss or gain game, even if you are unable to purchase one bitcoin, you can set up strategies to buy additional bitcoins and keep accumulating. so choosing wisely which one to invest either bitcoin or altcoin personally I go for the altcoin.

People need to get over the whole coin versus fractional coin ordeal.  I'd rather half a share of a good stock fund than I would 1000 shares of some shit stock that's pure speculation, lacking fundamentals etc. The same thing applies for bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  I'd much rather own a fraction of a bitcoin than own say 50 dogecoins or whatever.

The whole coin thing DOES NOT MATTER, and don't let it sway you one way or another.

Does matter because you would be able to say up these things when the market price did really be able to hit up those movements but if not then you would say that Bitcoin is always been better but if a
certain altcoin does pump out then you would say the opposite which is really that not surprising at all.When choosing up in between Bitcoin and altcoins then it wont really be that necessary considering
that if you do have the money then you could always opt in on diversifying on things which it would really be that ideal if you are really that mindful on spreading up your investment
and wont tending up on focusing on a single point.Its actually your choice when it comes to this manner.
