I have been a sports guy but the idea of using money to bet has always scared me and the stories of how people lose money to gambling addictions always put me in my comfort zone not to trespass, not until the day Nigeria had a Match with Argentina in the 2018  world cup round 3 to e precise, Nigeria needed that match to be won to make it out of the group stage to the knockout stage just like we just concluded the that of last weeks but the then Messi in every Argentina match is always hot and they also needed that match to qualify to the round of 16, I chose that Messi will score and Argentina will qualify and that is how it happens,  he scored in the first 14 minutes. I was pained that we didn't qualify but I felt happy that I was right.

There is no reason to be too afraid of becoming addicted to gambling, the only thing you need to do is to set a budget for your gambling activities and then you respect it and never go above it, and as long as you do this then the chances of becoming addicted to gambling are zero, however if you notice that you are gambling more money than what you have assigned at your budget in a consistent basis then you know that you need to stop as at that point you will be experimenting the first signs of gambling addiction.

You wont really be get addicted if you dont let yourself be addicted into.It is really a matter of self discipline on which majority or most people really forgetting into.When you do play  gambling then

What kind of friend you have? If he is real friend, he wont tell you the goog thing only in gambling (about wins) but he will also tell you the big risk or the bad effects. Didn't you think it is impossible or too good be true when you hear someone say that he wins every week? It is what is called by gambling fallacy especially by newbies. They think that there is a strategy/technique to win in gambling while in fact it is pure about luck especially if we talk about luck based games such as dice, roulette, crash, etc.

Is there a referral system in the casino that you are playing? You've signed up under him? I think he just persuades you to register and play because he gets a commission when you register and deposit money. Though if it is real that he is winning every week then he is very lucky since he is winning I am not sure what kind of strategy he is talking to you but it is working on him the possibilities are he did not disclose all info in the strategy or he is just lying at all.

I think many of us are experiencing the same thing as you are experiencing. The influence of friends can be very strong and make us wonder why he can win so much money. I think everyone has played the lottery at some point in their lives and it's a form of gambling that is somewhat more normalized, that was probably the first introduction to it. Besides that, playing poker in a live setting in the biggest city of my country was the first real interaction, I remember saying that I was new to the table and several people there looked like they thought there may be an easy target. Played very tight and only a few hands out of maybe 50, but walked away up a couple hundred with a relatively low buy in, so it was a great experience. However looking back it was very much luck and maybe the players there were not as good as they thought.

Are training courses really a thing in sports betting and casino games? I never heard anyone in any of my groups as well as the people I've played that did go through any kind of courses to learn gambling better. I had to do the same thing for poker as well, and I did something similar for blackjack too where I had a pdf open that explains what I should do in most odds, like do I hit with 15-16 or do I stay etc etc. Same with poker too, didn't know what beat what, and had to check it, didn't print it out tbf, I had it open on my pc, but I used pokerstars with like 1-2 cents as my preference, and I had like 2-3 dollars in there.

The aim wasn't to win money but to learn the game. But the first ever betting I did was on horse racing, it was a thrill to watch those horses race, the more I grew up, the more I realized it's actually something that hurts the horses and a shame, now I never bet on it.
