I totally support @bullrun2020bro becoming a merit source.

He's a huge addition to the forum and his posts are of such a high quality that I believe he is best to decide what other posts are worth meriting.

As there is just a need for merit due to qwk's not being too active at the moment, you should definitely give him a few sMerits :=)

Anyone that follows my brief monthly overview of the local boards activity or checked Merit Dashboard might have noticed that despite being consistently one of the most active local boards, German was nowhere close to the top when it comes to merit/post ratio. Since many of their members are known as quality posters, the only explanation for that is lack of merit sources, so I am glad to see your merit source application and I would add: its about time!

I completely agree with Rikafip.
It's obvious that there is a lack of merit sources on your local board and that is why I support this merit source application from bullrun2020bro.
I'm sure that theymos is actively monitoring the forum and all forum statistics, including the number of merits shared, and that he too will recognize the need to promote new merit sources.
It seems to me that theymos usually wait until more members apply for merit sources and only then he promotes new merit sources, usually once or twice a year.
So you have to be patient until then

You are very welcome bro, I know how you contribute in this community and that's the reason why many people are going to support for your application as a merit source. And I do hope that theymos will response for the applications here in meta board. Many merit source application still pending but for sure in the right time theymos will choose a new merit source and I hope that you are one of those.

I have to say this that it has not been the first time i will be coming across your name on the forum even though I've never deemed it feet to check your profile but i believe in your ability just with the little of the threads you've posted as your best top 10 on this thread, I will like to ask you if you have a personal improvement to set in which other merit source are not considering, something new to offer, something unique to make your application a most successful one if your request is granted, what have you got to give or present different from what has already been in place as a meirt source? also accept this as not a prob but we need to know and have a glimpse of what you've got for the community which others doesn't.

Am also wishing you a well considered application but you will need more patience while this undergoes every criteria review of Theymos and know that many have also applied before you and still waiting, am wishing you best of luck in your application bullrun2020bro.

The new year might bring some new hopes for you and @theymos might consider adding more merit sources to the forum as if we consider his latest work then new Nigerian board and @OP patch has been already completed.So he might also look forward to this one also so keep trying and best wishes to you.

I just realized that I haven't even mentioned my support here.

bullrun2020bro as a merit source would be an asset for the whole board. If u look at his posts, u can quickly see that he is not just limited to the German local board, but is really active in all areas. All users would benefit from this - it is often the case that certain sources often only provide the locals with merit. This would not happen with him!

If you compare his post/merit ratio over this relatively short period of time, u can clearly see that he can shine with quality.
So I can't find any reason why bullrun2020bro shouldn't be a merit source. If anyone knows a serious reason - please tell me or be silent for the rest of ur life!

Thanks for the check @cygan but unfortunately no. I guess @theymos has not even read this application yet. However that is absolutely fine, since there are way more important things when I comes to upgrading the forum.

I know other applications have sometimes taken years or still not been answered, so I'm planning for the long term haha.

Anyway, I'm not worried about my application at all. I will keep going and maybe one day it will work out. I remain optimistic.

It was good to have made this bump because I had missed its application and I ended up not supporting it.

It's not that I have any influence on this matter, I must be one of the least influential legendary members of this forum. But, I like to support my teammates. 

I also made an application a few months ago to be smerit, but not yet. The reasons were similar, the difference is that in the Portuguese tab, we have more active merit givers than you seem to have in the German tab. Maybe that's why you deserve it more than me, I don't know. At least he's already done more than me, which was remembering its application (I don't know if I should do it for fear of people thinking I'm boring).

But this is also just my opinion, it will have little relevance in this case. So good luck with your application and keep us updated.

Waiting can get tedious sometimes, but it's the only option for anyone applying as a merit source once the forum has a number of merit sources selected by admin. I don't know how many times an application will be reviewed and it will be decided whether it is accepted or not, but as long as the admin doesn't respond there is always a possibility.

But by the way, is it true that the merit source has decreased again? As I remember, the previous source was 111, but now it's only 110.

You are a bit late, this little drop to 110 Merit Sources has been observed since July 2022 :

1 year and I come back.

• Honestly, I did not check merit sources page in many months
• So I don't know when the latest change was made
• But the update is, currently "there are 110 merit sources with a total merit generation of up to 33989 sMerit per 30 days"
• It is minor change compares to 1 year ago, in July 2021. I guess 1 merit source was removed.
