How's Vispilio still at 2x the value of place #2 though? I've got limited knowledge about shitcoins so what do you guys think, can his portfolio hold up until the end of the year?

Some survive, but the majority keeps dropping. And even if the "altcoin market share" grows, that's because new altcoins take a part of the pie too. It may be interesting to see the average portfolio value for each day, and compare that to Bitcoin. My guess it the average keeps dropping further compared to Bitcoin.

Vispilio really nailed it with Radiant Capitol, it appears that's one of the better performing alts of the year so far.  It was trading at a fraction of a penny at the turn of the year, and now it's still up over 100x.  I'm not up on shitcoinery either, but man, makes me think I should put $100 in each of the alts Vispillio chooses next year.

We're still early for planning 2024, but I can definitely also keep the visualization script running and start another one in parallel for the next contest!

It will be possible to observe how much the bitcoin portfolio can outperform altcoin portfolios in terms of profitability in the long term. This data is not only intermediate results of the competition, but also excellent data for those who want to invest in various altcoin junk in the long term, ignoring bitcoin in their portfolios.

I'm not sure what to think of all of this, but there hasn't been major changes. BTC is strong and drives the market, and timing is important.

It may be interesting to see the average portfolio value for each day, and compare that to Bitcoin. My guess it the average keeps dropping further compared to Bitcoin.

Considering the $780 first prize this year, how likely is this to be manipulated? Let's say someone picked a low-volume altcoin that nobody uses, and right before the deadline places a $200 market buy order. He buys everything there is to buy, the price skyrockets, and suddenly his portfolio is worth $10,000.
I'm not much into altcoins and I can't easily check if there is a coin for which this would be possible, but it seems like a scenario that can happen.
