First time of owning bitcoin

Not too quite long I had a section in my home where I had to discuss with some of my neighbors about cryptocurrency/bitcoin and to an extent explained to them how the industry operates and the benefits it can offer. But this is not the actual point of my discussion anyway.
The thing here is that one of the person's I had that round table discussion with was to my oblivion doing  some personal research privately about bitcoin based on all she has been told about it for the past many days after that very discussion. And so yesterday she came to me asking that I should assist her in purchasing bitcoin worth about $160 as she is avoiding on making mistake by doing it by herself alone since it's her first time. After every process and the said amount of bitcoin was purchased successfully into her account, immediately there was this expression of the feeling of joy the lady expressed with a wide smiles that seem unending and I was amazed at such level of excitement she showed.

Then after she left, I started asking myself, like did I also acted same way when I first got my own bitcoin or is the lady just been overwhelmed knowing she now own a certain amount of bitcoin or am I missing something as to why she reacted the way she did?

the first time i had bitcoin, i was happy because. I have valuable assets, even though at that time I bought them with very small amounts of money, around 100 dollars. and the reason that makes me happier is because I feel like I have savings, what is very unique is that the amount of money in bitcoin every day always fluctuates, so even if it goes down it doesn't make my mind anxious because it doesn't take long to go up again.

The first time I had bitcoin was around 2013, I had my first job I bought a little. I remember being too excited about it, I watch the market price most of the time and watch my investment go up and down. It's a mixed emotion since I know little about bitcoin during that time and I had to do my own research since I don't know anyone who knows about bitcoin during that time. As time goes by I found a group of people who shares the same interest and that group led me to this forum. Now I share my knowledge about cryptocurrency to those who are interested in it and those who are asking me questions about it.

Quite different in my case, as the first time I received/owned bitcoin was also the first time I received income(that's actually worth something decent and not just a few dollars). One thing's for sure though, it felt GREAT seeing that number come out of your wallet.

what if you provide information not only limited to bitcoin?excessive excitement will make people very hasty and so confident to search for information on all platforms like youtube don't eat click bait and your friends don't get a thorough understanding, so this is not an obstacle but if you are still buying bitcoins on the (local) market, of course there is a guide. This means that maybe you are just getting to know the fundamentals of bitcoin and it's like something that has liquidity can be made into anything. if he only goes along to buy bitcoin and doesn't know the purpose of owning bitcoin, I think he has the right to know what the potential and capabilities of bitcoin are. At first I had bitcoin like that and ended up on a scam site because I was tempted by ROI and apy.
I hope beginners can minimize greed and ignorance.

I would like to say I had some kind of epic reaction but I would be lying, to me it was just like any other transaction at the time, I did not realized back then that such a purchase will be the beginning of a journey in which I will invest way more time and money than what I ever thought possible, however the person I was at the time when I made that transaction never thought about this, which in a way is funny because that is probably one of the most important purchases I have ever made.

The first time I have experienced owning BTC is when I have earned it from the side gig that I have worked years ago. It was a great feeling that I have some BTC (in sats) for the first time.

But during that time, I didn’t have my own non-custodial Bitcoin wallet and I instead received it to my centralised wallet. That time, I was not educated yet about the difference between the custodial and non-custodial wallet.

But at least I did when I first purchased the Ledger Nano S. As of today, that’s where I have stored my Bitcoins and other assets so that it cannot get compromised or freezed.

My excitement know no bounds when I first started my Bitcoin accumulation journey, and to this point, I have achieved a great milestone in a short time, I first started by purchasing a few bits and accumulating them little by little first I became a Satoshi millionaire within the first few weeks and now I have accumulated more Bitcoin more than what I can imagine and am glad I started small in bits.

But there are some important points I could have loved to hear from your message which is, securing the Bitcoin bought for your friend in a cold wallet, since you mentioned you purchase the bitcoin am sure you did that through an exchange, so it will be safe to have your friend to buy a cold wallet to store the Bitcoin off-exchange, another option is using an online wallet for now even though online wallets are not 100% secured too.

 My was quite different, the first time I owned or received Bitcoin made me to changed my attitude not to allow my siblings to come close to my phone because of the bitcoins in my wallet at the moment.  Since then, I don't go out with my phone since I received Bitcoin in my wallet because I was thinking it will disappear without giving someone my  personal details  until I came to understand that without your personal details, nobody can have access to your bitcoins in your wallet before I start allowing my siblings to my phone.

Buying btc is great and buying now that the price is so cheap is the wisest choice, it is a good thing she decided to buy btc during the bear market because most newbies who bought btc during ath are mostly the ones frecking out and panic selling during this period. I would say the best time to talk new people into buying btc is when the price is relatively down. Not everyone can handle such a huge drop in price.
OP always keep in touch with her and discuss the btc circles (bull and bear market) so she can be prepared for both period to avoid panic selling. I wish her good success.

I started with shitcoins and saw hell before eventually buying bitcoins. If I remember correctly, it wasn't a feeling of excitement I had but that of relief. Relief that I had escape shitcoin hell. The excitement that I had was in seeing my investment 2x at that time and taking profits. The excitement was also in using  the profits in getting a laptop computer and some of the other fine things of life.

I didn't buy my first sats as it was given to me as my job fee. It was explained only that it was the future of money and blockchain.info wallet was used. I only want to make money at that time but was given me more than enough.

Somehow I also told my sister that BTC is the future of money. And by the time I gave her some BTC, she offer to buy more from me as if her future life depends on it. I eventually told her he can do it on exchanges herself. So far she now blames me for not reminding her to sell when BTC price was higher.

It is natural as human that when we have achieved something of great value, we become happy and feel relieved. When I bought my first btc, I was so excited that I went about telling my friends and even showing them the btc in my wallet for them to see. Though,I have known little about bitcoin then.

Three weeks later, I lost my phone in a taxi and it was like am in hell because I was scared that I will no longer have access to my investment and that whoever sees my phone might be able to have access to my wallet, I remained sober throughout that day but trying every possibility to get in touch with whoever saw my phone by calling my phone number. At night,I tried the number again and this time a lady picked the call and directed me to her location. I went to see her the next day and she gave me my phone,I was so relieved and happy,immediately I checked my wallet and saw all my btc was intact.

Anyone that buys a thing of value is always filled with excitement. The lectures or talk you gave to her made her like bitcoin and she saw it as a golden opportunity to be part of this innovation. It could also be possible that she is happy because she is expecting a great return from her investment.

I got my first bitcoin this year and I felt freedom and security. My greatest attraction to Bitcoin is the opportunity that gives me to control, conceal and secure my financial transactions.

Are you asking how my first bitcoin purchase came about? At that moment, it seemed to me that I would definitely make a mistake at one of the stages and lose my money, although the amount was quite insignificant. Losing even this I would take as a disaster, but fortunately, everything went well and I received some part of btc on my wallet. The first thing I experienced was a kind of delight that everything worked out and I was able to touch this technology. By the way, this feeling lasted for several days for sure. Now everything is perceived as easy and simple, but for the first time the sensations move from distrust, fear to admiration and delight, and also, the first purchase of bitcoin seems to be something incredibly difficult.

It is better to try once than to regret a hundred times that you didn't do it because of fear. Everything will work out. There are a lot of guides on this topic on the internet.

I am glad that you are starting to profit from your investment in bitcoin. It is really hard to make money from shitcoins since they have no value at all. I would suggest that you try to reinvest your profit in bitcoin since you could earn more profit from it. Though your choice is to buy laptop accessories, it is not necessary right now. Instead, think more about how you can invest more in bitcoin so that your profit will be doubled. It is also good to buy it again now that the price is so low.

Mine was more of excitement as it meant something special to me because it came as a reward for my passion of writing. I did some write up for this site and they could only pay with US account, PayPal or Bitcoin. I didn't have the first two but already knew about Bitcoin so I setup my wallet, got my address and sent it to them. I got my reward with in minutes and it was awesome.

I didn't hold the Bitcoin for long though as I was short on cash and that was the reason behind me enrolling in that particular side hustle. The story would be different today as I'm not selling any Bitcoin that enters my account. I'll be hodling until we get to a new all time high, $100k is my spelling target for some profit.

the first bitcoin I had is from a job here in forum and I'm so happy having this and to that ? I withdraw instantly to treat my friend because I am so happy and forgot the fact that I must take this as investment , so after that I did everything I can as possible to gather as more bitcoin as i can.
and yes I already did and still accumulating now.

I can relate to that worst first experience with shitcoin many of us started on that not even though we were well knowledge about Bitcoin and it decentralization, my experience of owning bitcoin came early as adoptor of Bitcoin but then along the way, the worst happen.

We went all in to altcoin after the etheruem blockchain came onboard and that mark the beginning of my confusion and losing of my entire portfolio, But then after realizing that altcoin were just a total time waiting I redirected my.focus back to Bitcoin and I am doing good now.
