It's the same as other countries, they've got to focus to the grandest events that are happening in their countries because it will boost their entire economy.

While not looking at those current situations that the other side of the country is dealing with. People should just forget the World Cup if they want to and ignore it.

But they can't stop the flock and fans from different parts of the world to watch and support it.

It's not the same in other countries. In most countries you are free to drink alcohol if you like and you won't get in trouble for walking around with your shoulders or knees visible Wink
I would probably still watch it if it was only about their restrictions but the most important aspect is Qatar bribed FIFA to get the votes and be chosen as the host for the cup.
FIFA is so dirty and nobody does anything about it as long as the money keeps flowing.

Personally, I don't like decisions to allow countries like Qatar or Russia to held World Cup, but I still watch. These protests of individuals is such pointless thing. It won't achieve anything, that's just showing your position.
Much bigger impact would be if powerful countries like England, France or Germany wouldn't agree to play in competitions held in such countries.

I would probably still watch it if it was only about their restrictions but the most important aspect is Qatar bribed FIFA to get the votes and be chosen as the host for the cup.
FIFA is so dirty and nobody does anything about it as long as the money keeps flowing.
Same as Russia did for 2018 World Cup or even Germany in 2006. Money doesn't smells. Hell, if they would get big enough offer, FIFA probably would agree to make World Cup in North Korea.

Anybody that is not watching the world cup is not a football freak or let me say fan

You don't have to be a football freak or fan to watch the game of football, some people just choose not to because of personal reasons. Is a choice to watch it or make it a habit. If you follow the way things are being done in the game of football, like I've mentioned before, politics has a strong role to play in this tournament.

Well, now that the world cup has ended is there going to be an improvement in workers conditions?
What I mean is that, since some of the stadiums will be dismantled will the condition of the workers who will be involved improved?
The best thing I would say right now is that people who go there to accept work under such terrible conditions should just stop because there is no end in sight for such terrible working conditions.

The FIFA organization gives permission to control different countries to run the World Cup.  This time, FIFA has given them the responsibility to conduct the World Cup in Qatar because despite being an Islamic country, Qatar has been given responsibility for this World Cup.  All these responsibilities can be fulfilled only in developed countries because there are various kinds of problems.  No other country could have prevented FIFA from practicing this even if it wanted to.  But good luck for Qatar.

I have recently meet a few people that are just not watching any football match of the World Cup because they feel that the Qatari government has ignored many of the most basic human rights. I already knew that in most emirates of the area, there are several classes of workers. The elite does not really work or they just manage at high level or do politics or get paid as "local partners" of foreign companies. A second level, Muslims but not of the elites are mid-managers. Europeans and Americans are despised, but they are necessary for skilled jobs. For example, if there is a queue for a restaurant, the locals will be seated first even if they arrive last. Obviously, Europeans are willing to put up with the shit but the price is two to three times their salaries at home.

An now we get to the last tier: Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, Philippines,... the moment they arrive, their passports are taken from them and they are stuck in the country for periods of 5 or more years. No air conditioned in the barracks, misery salaries, medieval work conditions...

I do understand that some of us will decide not participating on this. The Cup is filled with blood.

As part of political and administrative situations and country norms, football lovers still watch, and lovers are interested in footballers' policies regarding the games. So I do not disagree with any part of your post, but my point here is despite all the mentioned situations football craze hasn't got down.

When you come across someone who already missed this year FIFA world cup match series then such person is not a football kind of person or isn't disposed to have time to watch, I've learnt about some occasions whereby when your country got knocked out that marks the end of your watching, but this have gone beyond ordinary watch, it a live entertaining event that put one into high expectations for a long anticipation.

First of all, I don't like to involve football with politics. Supposedly, football can unite all nations. But the fact is, FIFA is an exception and they tend to do a double standard with what happened to Ukraine and Russia. on the other hand, the western invasion of middle eastern countries. but okay, because our theme is not that.

To be honest, what happened to the Qatar world cup cannot be underestimated. there were many cases that occurred there, various bad news related to violations in the world cup this time. and some of the points that you have conveyed in your thread here. the question is, is this really happening? as a layman naturally I want to ask it. the reason is, everything related to Qatar has always been slanted news.

Let's remember again, the opening ceremony of the world cup ceremony. between Qatar vs Ecuador, 3 days before this event was held, several rumors had been very intensively reported that Qatar had bribed Ecuador to lose in the opening match. in fact, Qatar fell 0-2 Ecudor.

I believe this is a proxy war carried out by political competitors. like Amjad Taha who spread such irresponsible rumors. So who should we believe, the western media, Saudi Arabia, or. but that's for sure. that the Qatar side has successfully organized this world cup event, and that is a fact.

This World cup is too much controversial. Some people believe that Qatar send a huge amount of money to FIFA President to give them chance to host this WC. There is a documentary named "The man who sold the World Cup"!  You can get much information there!

There is no doubt that Qatar has paid hugely to make its way into being the organiser of the World Cup this year. It is against any reason to give such an opportunity to launder their society and their abuses if it not were for the huge amount of money handed. The vice-president of the EU parliament has been directly sent for prison for related issues.
