I am pretty sure that BlueWallet is ONLY discontinuing that they hold custody of lightning network coins, so they are ONLY getting out of the "custodial" business, and they are likely going to be continuing to allow for various ways that people are going to be able to connect BlueWallet's lightning wallet portion to the nodes of other people (just not going to be able to connect to their nodes after April 30)

That's exactly right. After April, they are not going to host a node for their users anymore. But you can still use the lightning hub Lndhub in a self-custodial capacity and use Blue Wallet to connect to your own node. The change doesn't affect that.

Lndhub as a software and FOSS self hosted solution will keep existing and being supported for anyone interested in running it. You will always be able to connect to your own LndHub from BlueWallet or other software that supports LndHub API specification.

This may sound like bad news, but this essentially means BlueWallet going forward will only support self-custody solutions. This is good for bitcoin and BlueWallet users.

I am not certain about this, but I do not think so. If you want use timekock, I have seen it on Electrum while making transaction, but only on desktop Electrum.

Thank you! I have used timelocked transactions yesterday using Sparrow. Actually it was only yesterday when I learned about them and I needed to try it out.

I was interested in BlueWallet since I use cold storage and my signing device really struggles with scanning the QR code from Sparrow and vice-versa. My laptop's camera is not so good.

To my knowledge while using Blue Wallet, they do not offer timelocked transactions as Charles-Tim has answered and I am glad that you are satisfied with the answers given.

Sparrow is a very good wallet. I am still learning its features.

I am also using bluewallet on android. I use it to "monitor" my wallets and to send transactions using my airgapped signing device.

Perhaps I can buy a webcam. For the time being, as long as I can do all my transactions using BlueWallet, I am ok!

I really liked Blue wallet and its interface on Android, when different types of account cards have different colors.  For example, my Legacy account is red, Segwit is blue, and so on.  I don't really need LN, so I don't have any questions about it.  In general, the wallet is comfortable and I am satisfied.  

But I have a question for the wallet developers.  
I want to ask when will the new generation of Taproot (P2TR) accounts be supported?  If any of the devs of this wallet read our forum and this thread, please reply.  I will be very grateful to you.
And I need such an option as Taproot, like many other users, as I think.

Implementing taproot requires complex coding hence you won't find many wallets (and even exchanges) supporting this upgrade. Instead, ppl went for native segwit (bech32) which is easier and offers more better scalibility and cheaper fee.

May I ask for which type of payment you need taproot support ? Btw, bluewallet supports send to taproot address feature already, but we just can't receive from yet. I do believe that taproot will soon become obsolete anyways since there's not much demand and need for it.

For me, using Taproot is just an experiment.  I want to find out myself by making simultaneous parallel transactions segwit-->segvit and taproot-->Taproot, and their combinations in order to find out if the network commission is really reduced or is it just assurances, a promise of the Taproot developers.  Devs Taproot claims that the commissions will be "a little less".  

This is the first time I'm hearing from you that Taproot... will soon be "obsolete" because no one needs it.  I am a little surprised by your forecast, but I don’t know if this new protocol is so unnecessary for anyone?  After all, 90% and even more miners voted for him.  And it also has advantages for users, as I understand it.  By the way, Segwit was also introduced for quite a long time, but now almost everyone has it.  
Maybe time will tell if Taproot was needed in mass use.

Despite the complexity of the coding, I can't give a definitive answer. However, as a user of the Android version of BlueWallet, I cannot answer when BlueWallet will support Taproot like several other software wallets that already support Taproot.

BlueWallet has just released version 6.4.1 (v6.4.1 - Payment codes) as posted by cygan below and it won't be long before BlueWallet will also be deprecating their Lightning node on April 30th.

I want to share how to make Multisig Vault Blue Wallet Android.
Maybe this guide can help friends who need it.

Select or press add now continue by selecting the Type Vault and select Create.

Select Create new will appear seed for us to keep it safe then select Done.

When Vault Key 1 is completed, then proceed with creating Vault Keys 2 and 3 with the same steps like making Vault Key 1.

If all three Vault Keys are complete, select Create.

Done creating Vault Key 1, 2, 3 and Seed has been saved, then the process to get address MultiSig Vault Blue Wallet has been successful.

I want to say that I did the process of how to create the Multisig Vault address on an Android smartphone, not on a laptop or PC, so when I preview it, it looks a little limited.


After I noticed you were right that for feature excerpts from BlueWallet it would be more interesting if all the paragraph layouts were all the same as on their site.

Now testing BlueWallet, it's a good wallet, like it very much! I appreciate the design: multiple accounts are depicted as bank cards with different colors, and color corresponds to the protocol: legacy is light green color, HD legacy is red, segwits are light blue or dark blue, P2SH is violet, the wallets without access to transactions are black. Devs have made a great work! Really well done!

Also I'd like devs to add the support for Taproot accounts, Unstoppable wallet already has it...

Blue Wallet is now releasing new version 6.4.4

According to the release notes, the bluewallet update in version 6.4.4 focuses on;

v6.4.4

• FIX: camera black screen (closes #5510)
• FIX: Make LN address support visible
• FIX: import p2sh coldcard format multisig
• DEL: Remove deprecated "Today" extension

Before updating to version 6.4.4, bluewallet in version 6.4.3 has several new points,

• FIX: rare crash when signing with HW wallet
• FIX: Rename to Settings for platform consistency
• FIX: Update Help link
