I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

I had a somewhat similar start with Bitcoin. I was also a teenager when I was first involved in cryptocurrencies and didn't have the ability to purchase because I was under 18. I didn't have any special skills, nor was I participating in a signature campaign. However, I managed to acquire some BTC through faucets, which were quite pointless back in 2014 but worth a decent sum of money in 2017 and were sold for a decent profit then. I slowly acquired more knowledge and entered a signature campaign, from which I was earning a semi-decent sum of money per month.

Unfortunately, I abandoned the forum in 2018 and returned somewhere between late 2020 and early 2021. I can't say that I'm independent because of Bitcoin, but I can certainly claim that it has helped me acquire financial freedom.

@OP, congratulation in finding Bitcoin to help you with your finances.  Bitcoin indeed helps a lot of people gain some financial independence.  I also know a person that was greatly helped by Bitcoin during his college days.  He is now a successful teacher working abroad.  His engagement in Bitcoin made him finance himself in college until he graduated last year.  His earnings from marketing and trading enable him to finance his requirements to go abroad and work there.  If I am not mistaken, he is currently working in UAE but despite the job, he is still active in Bitcoin trading.

I’m happy you didn’t give up even after a loss. Suffering a loss in crypto can be so heartbreaking I remember the first time I lost money trading futures, I was so down I couldn’t open a trade for about a month. That experience made me realize I won’t always be winning in the market some days I would get hit and lose, the best I can do is manage the risks, in my case being futures trading I always make sure to set my stop loss at a good point.

I know you're talking about earning your own money, and therefore don't require any help any more. Although, I think the important thing to highlight here is you've taken a step of actually owning your money, and not relying on third parties. The only thing about that, is the image you posted above an exchange or a wallet? I assume, it's an exchange, as long as you aren't storing your Bitcoin without owning the private key, and definitely don't share that private key with a third party.

However, I'm sure a lot of users here have found financial independence through Bitcoin, it provides opportunities that the traditional fiat system doesn't provide or at least there's less competition for offering services, which will eventually change.

I want to tell you that I am living in Pakistan, I know that is not rich but still it helps me very well. Cause here wages are almost less and also expenses. I also know that In United States 1000 dollars per month earnings is still poor. Here in our country at least 150 to 200 dollars earnings per month is good. That’s a great start, congratulations. We can always benefit from crypto as long as we never think of quitting just because of initial losses. Of course, losing is inevitable in trading but that won’t mean that we will always keep on losing, we will gain rewards eventually after we finally learn how to be good traders. To be fully independent, you’ve got to have a stable source of income as well as alternative sources where income flows in. You can’t just rely on a single source(bitcoin in your case) to be fully independent.
While I can fully relate to what you’re talking about being independent cause of bitcoin, I would advise you to remember to diversify on your income and only then would you be fully independent and not have to rely on your parents anymore for anything. Congratulations ops for earning your own mo et through cryotkcurrncy, indeed cryptocurrency has made many of us here to be financially independent just like you, but again there is a difference between earning an income and actual freedom, and from what I see from the image you posted, it doesn't look to me that you are financially free yet. Because you still store your funds on an exchange and that in itself is not freedom since you don't have control of the wallet and you don't have the wallet keys the exchange does. So to become financially independent you need to have your funds stored in a private wallet with your private keys saved in a good place to be able to recover your wallet at any point in time when the need arises.

But at the same time you became dependent on cryptocurrency, which is a very volatile and speculative field with unclear fundamentals. We can't know if in 10 years crypto would still be a thing or not. Maybe traders will lose interest and move on to something new, and the opportunities will become virtually non-existent. And there are other downsides, like the fact that there's less opportunities during a bear market. This can be very bad in certain situations, when you suddenly need a lot of money, but it's a bear market, so you might have to sell at a loss.

Being independent is a thing many wants to celebrate about. It means you being financially stable and  taking your responsibilities by yourself but i must say this note that crypto is volatile and can note guarantee your a steady source of income. Yest it can be an alternative investment or option for you to bank on but it would be nice you diversify your investment like the adage says " do not carry all your eggs in one basket" and another thing you should note  "not your keys, not your coin"  i will suggest that you put your coin in your own wallet which you a;lone have access to. If you have been following up with the happenings on the crypto space of lately, you will be extremely careful and thread with caution as regards your digital assets and funds. Nowadays, there are too many people who have experienced financial freedom the same as OP did and that is because of the crypto they have changed their lives. I know where you are coming from but this is good start to be earning the little you can than depending wholly on your parents. At least you have lessing your parents financial workload of training and catering for you.

Make sure you are using your cryptocurrency profits wisely as you earn them. If you can, diversify your investments and add another source of income so that you have something to fall back on in the event that you lose all of the money you made from trading cryptocurrencies. Not wishing for such scenario to happen, but at times you think otherwise.

Good thing you can generate your own income while studying, it is something that not most of the students can do, but that is just the first phase of becoming independent. Though we knew cryptocurrency could give us unlimited income If we get lucky with our trades and/or when you're patient enough to hold your Btc till the next bull season, but there's no guarantee that we are retaining a stable gain.
You can go ahead and finish your degree get a good position or build your own business and continue dealing with crypto and I guarantee you, you will feel what financially independent and free feels like.

It's good that you are earning profit by trading crypto currencies, but don't start thinking that you are now independent because you are able to make some profit trading. Trading profits aren't guaranteed and maybe in all those trades, you got lucky. But there will be time were you will be losing all if not some money when trading. What are you going to do then? You can call yourself independent once you have a lot of money were paying for basic things isn't a worry for you anymore or if you have a stable job that pays well. So don't depend on trading only. It is very true as you said, cryptocurrency has given us a lot of freedom, especially in the financial problems we are facing now, when we lose our way and lose our jobs because of covid 19, cryptocurrency comes to give us new hope and change our lives, ups and downs of course there is, but when we experience a loss we must not be discouraged, because after red it will definitely come out green, because there are so many missions that we can get in cryptocurrency, the point is we must not stop learning and exploring our potential, because cryptocurrency teaches us to be independent.

Good luck to the OP, but trading "crypto" with a bankroll of a few hundred $ to make $100 a month has a near 100% chance of bankruptcy in the medium term.

OP, you will have an easier and less risky way to earn a few hundred dollars a month with signature campaigns.

I am not sure if that $300 worth of bitcoin is all or just a small part of your overall crypto portfolio. But judging by the looks of the service whose pictures you posted in the OP, I would say you keep your coins on Binance. If that's just your trading wallet, then it's OK since you need that money at your fingertips to get in and out of various positions. But if you are using that Binance account as your personal wallet, then you have a lot more to learn.

- You don't have custody of your own coins.
- You don't own the keys of your coins.
- You are completely dependent on a 3rd-party to manage your funds.
- Whatever you saved up in all these years can be lost in case of a hack or if Binance thinks you broke their rules/terms.

Some forks fine it easy to trade cryptocurrency but I don't have the boldness to trade not even Bitcoin, I will rather focus more on less risky ways to make some Bitcoin such as buying Bitcoin at a low price and holding it in my cold wallet for a long time let say a space of 2 to 3 years to make a significant profit.
The truth is you don't have the guarantee of making profits in trading and there is every possibility of not coming out with your capital but if you have some good trading skills then you can make profits but building those trading skills is not easy to come by that is why most people choose to either buy and hold for long term bases.

It seems like you are earning money thru trading on Binance and that's good. I also tried but I failed. Many tried but many failed as well.
You know what's happening now, right? The problem with Centralized Exchanges including Binance. I mean the reputation and the trust to these CEX went down because of FTX. I'm not saying that you need to transfer your coins in a hardware wallet since it looks like you are earning thru trading but just be aware in case things went worse.

You're not the only one who is experiencing this. There are many including me. I'm not totally independent right now but at least I can buy some of the things that I want and at the same time, I can also pay bills here in our home thanks to cryptocurrency.

That's a golden advice. That's what came on mind after seeing the screenshot of binance. I mean 6 hours is still big time he hasn't moved the coins directly to hardware wallets. Well if it is going to be savings account and hard earned money, dam; that's gonna go in the hardware wallet without any second thought. I also had similar ways of keeping money on the exchangers, first reason was easy to trade right on the spot, or may be exchange with my local fiat and get the money and thus to avoid those 2-3 steps of accessing your wallet, plugging it in and sending the coins.

However, I also got similar advice from forum fellow members, and I am thankful that I have not been victim of any exchanger since then.

I don't know where he was living right now but here in our country tuitions are free so you'll need to pay only the miscellaneous fee which if he is earning $100 dollars per month he can pay but the problem is that how is he living right now, I am sure he is renting then he is buying foods and now is that the recession hit us so everything is expensive I am hoping that he can still keep up. I can define being independent as that you are really living on your own, without any assistance (financially) from your parents and if you don't work you can't eat anything at all.

How possible is it to find that "good altcoin with a good timing", i'm afraid it is a wild goose chase and too risky, some altcoins are good at pumping if you have the crystal balls to guess the correct time it will, but you must also have crystal balls to sell it before it starts dumping, altcoins is a tricky and risky 'business', there isn't even an altcoin that can be considered 'good', a good altcoin is one that is currently pumping in the market, once it can't pump, another one that is pumping becomes the latest good one. If you want to buy a decent coin that is useful and surety of profits in the long term, then buy BTC and don't gamble with altcoins.

Congrats for your achievement for not depending on your parents financially. It's good that you never give up despite of the losses you experienced before becoming independent. I like your positivity and it's an inspiration to us to never give up just because you failed in your first try.

We need more positive stories like this to remind us that there's a good thing that will happen if you invest in Bitcoin or crypto in general. It's a risky investment but look at the good side of it if you're feeling weak to keep holding.

I believe the point of being independent is that one can comfortably afford his/her necessities without thinking too much as to how the cash for expense would come. This can only be an achieved feat when one has resolved on a means of income and has focused so as to gain the best from the means.
As Op has stated his freedom, some other persons may have a different idea, because as right said, the income value of currency varies from region to region.
If i had to ask OP a question, it would be, have you tried living else where with this current income, where bills are more than equivalent to the current one you pay? Do you think your independence is sure enough to care and carter for a family, should you decide to or already have one?
I however, admire your resolve and hope to come an indepence of mine wherein I could afford more than the basic necessity.

What you are talking about is financial freedom, so in OP's case, it is rather he is becoming financially independent thanks to crypto, not financial freedom, they are entirely different. OP's freedom is no longer dependent on financial support from parents, not having to spend comfortably without worrying about running out of money.
I admire what OP is doing, hope he can maintain and develop it in the future, not only no longer depending on his family but also hoping he will support his family thanks to bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the perfect choice for long-term investment, but it is not true to say that all altcoins are bad or not worth investing in. Bitcoin has brought a lot of profits to many people, but what about ETH? For those who bought ETH for less than $1 and held so far, their earnings are not inferior to those of bitcoin holders. Not to mention many investors who have held BNB since 2018 and 2019 so far, they have also had profits that we will never get. I'm not against someone investing solely in bitcoin, but I'm not against someone investing in altcoins like ETH or BNB either.

I have been independent after knowing with cryptocurrency and started investing or trading in Bitcoin and several altcoin project, but before I know with Bitcoin I have been publisher and could said almost independent with my financial. Almost six month become publisher and some thing bad happened and I got great opportunity with cryptocurrency.

I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

Although it might be a decent amount in the long run when prices spike up but you need to grow your portfolio gradually which I know you will.

If you do anything with passion and don't get disheartened when you lose, you will become successful one day. Guessing from the image OP shared, he is a futures trader. As he has $274 in his USDO-M Futures account where you can trade BTC or any other coin but with stablecoins.

it is good that you are earning 100 dollars as student and making more by yourself , though what do you mean by independent ? are you supporting yourself ? or independent as in you are living on your own but still supported by your parent?

because being in university and earning 100$ is something not enough for your expenses .
but again congratulations to your investment as for 5 years now? just this year that you finally seeing your investment fruiting and bringing joy to you.

I don't know where he was living right now but here in our country tuitions are free so you'll need to pay only the miscellaneous fee which if he is earning $100 dollars per month he can pay but the problem is that how is he living right now, I am sure he is renting then he is buying foods and now is that the recession hit us so everything is expensive I am hoping that he can still keep up. I can define being independent as that you are really living on your own, without any assistance (financially) from your parents and if you don't work you can't eat anything at all.

Depending where he lives, an extra income of 100$ can be already enough to pay for his renting or food expenses, but definitely it isn't enough to pay the universit, unless he got a scholarship from the university itself or the government, so he has decent discounts on the monthly costs, installment payment, or doesn't even need to pay anything at all.
