I was reading an article online about blockchain technology when I came across a specific section that discussed how Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies would become accepted forms of payment all around the world. If that's the case, I recommend that the government include Blockchain technology in the university and K-12 curricula so that students and teachers can understand how it works and why it's a superior form of payment to traditional fiat currency. Additionally, there should be billboards advertising Bitcoin across the city to educate the public about its use and the reasons why the new technology should be accepted as a form of payment everywhere.
I think a couple of institutions in the US already accepted bitcoin and cryptocurrency in their curriculum, either in economics or in the IT department. What is a little concerning though is the high amount of students who see cryptocurrency as nothing but a means to get rich quickly. Which should not be the case in any way whatsoever because bitcoin and cryptocurrencies aren't built to be like this despite their current uses. Anyhow, this goes to show how progressive the education system is becoming nowadays and is now going towards a shift for the better. The fact that these institutions, although still few and far between, acknowledges bitcoin's existence so much so that they are including it in their lessons is enough evidence that we are slowly walking the path towards global adoption.

They should definitely do that but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. Most of theses government are not even in favour of BTC. How would they? It's something they're not in control of. So it's left to us that are in the system to educate others about it.

As for cryptocurrency becoming accepted for payment globally, it's going to take a lot of time for that to happen. It's not stable and too volatile. Maybe more and more companies and people will recognize it but it won't be official.  Things that happened this year alone are a major setback.

Bitcoin adoption is unlikely to occur through university educational systems because so many people have embraced and accepted Bitcoin without attending school because they saw Bitcoin as a savior, eradicating so much poverty in some countries. However, introducing Bitcoin will be a great way to accelerate its global adoption.

This is true that universities are providing syllabus by including Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. It is good sign that people will learn benefits of Bitcoin and its uses. There are a lot of countries where most of the people don't know about Bitcoin. Day by day people will familiar with Bitcoin and Blockchain technology.

I believe basic knowledge of the financial industry should be given importance to both students who are in university and school. Not only about Bitcoins but students should learn about financial markets as a whole.

In the future this wouldn't even be deliberated because it would already have been incorporated into the educational curriculum from primary to secondary. I can understand why it is not so widespread now - bitcoin and blockchain are still in their earliest stage, probitcoin vs non-probitcoin in the educational system etc. I can imagine that it would take developing countries a long while to catch up with updating their educational curriculum to cover these topics. It's going to be a long shot but it is doable.

Cybercrime and cyber awareness should be the bigger topics to introduce in the k-12 classes instead of jumping into bitcoin and blockchain. We don't want to be a cult based on books, a good example of what we don't want to be in the religious sects. Rather bitcoin is an epitome of free speech not propaganda.

Once children are primed with the knowledge of how to remain safe on the internet they can learn about their financial options and opportunities. There all types of assets should be shown to them and allowed to make free choices.

You cannot force feed people into allowing crypto currency - you have give them time to understand it's benefits over others.

I agree with your thoughts, bitcoin currently, apart from being used to generate profits, has no practical application in life, so it cannot be considered an indispensable need of everyone. We like investing, it does not mean that other people will like it as much as we do. In addition, we can easily find knowledge about bitcoin on the internet, so it is not necessary to include it in education.
If someone is passionate about investing can learn it online or through courses at financial centers easily instead of going through the lengthy education process at school.

Let me tell you my friend that in my country, there are special courses for the undergraduate programs to opt for blockchain technology. So yes in my country there is some advance regarding cryptocurrencies and blockchain. You can be a blockchain engineer, by completing the undergrad course. But I see that this is still the beginning of what we are talking about. We need the schools to make students understand about Bitcoins along with Nation’s economics. Hope someday we will achieve this, and whole world will accumulate Bitcoins in their every work.

This can only be done in countries who had already embrace cryptocurrency, meanwhile countries who has a negative perception towards cryptos will never embark on such activity because it is the ministry of Education under that government that will design the Blockchain curriculum to cover the syllabus from K-12  to the university level, personally I think it's a very good idea unfortunately my country does not allow the use of crypto, however crypto enthusiasts here took it upon themselves to learn Blockchain technology myself inclusive, I am trying to pass this information to some of my colleagues in my place of work.

I agree with you.
even though learning about blockchain in the world of education from an early age is very good and important, especially about cryptocurrency, because as time goes by technology is advancing and developing.
but it is very unfortunate that there are still a number of countries that have not allowed or provided learning about blockchain and cryptocurrency in the education curriculum in these countries.

I believe blockchain is already added in courses that related with computer as miscellaneous subject. Blockchain is too deep to introduce on high school since this is al about coding unless you are referring to the general definition of blockchain only and not the technical aspect.

This technology is still not widely use in our daily life so I doubt government will allow especially on 3rd world country which the level of education is not that high. We should start at college level then slowly introduce it on lower level for a lighter coverage.

Idea is obviously great and there are many universities who are already adding taught programs related to blockchains. However the perspective is really different. It's more or less associated with its coding, it's various applications associated in the field of information technology. It seems that many users are thinking about it's indirect publicity in correlation with the bitcoin. Though we are talking about blockchain, there is no need to always connect the dots with bitcoin. In fact bitcoin is just vehicle which runs on the blockchain. Definitely, the applications are wide, and the scope is even higher for blockchain. It is also studied by various mega organizations in the banking sector to see if there is anything with which blockchain can help them. Smiley

Everything thought about is very possible, and it's just a matter of time before government with good clean targets for their country will start adapting it to their educational system curriculum. It's best for the upgrown and tender individuals who will have a very last memory and understanding on how the whole space operates. It's expected of all young and old individuals to know about the block chain and good profits it brings. We are growing so is the facilities surrounding our means of payment and investments. We should try go along with the rapid growth of Bitcoin in the universe.

It's a good thing if they will do that in school, but I think it's hard to hire someone that is going to teach that in a school. A full cryptocurrency trader or hodler wouldn't bother teaching I guess unless the payment is good or he would do it voluntarily. The only problem here is that students might get addicted to cryptocurrency especially trading that could come up to a worst case scenario where they would steal their parents money just to risk it again after they lost everything in trading.

Specially offered subject;yes. But to use 'should' would be I think wrong. Not all people in the first place are into this industry even if they are aware of how profitable it is. There are just people who are not ready to take that much of risk for high returns in an investment. Also, if it is curriculum, I think it would be irrelevant as a profession especially to countries wherein cryptos are not widely accepted or acknoledged as an option for mode of payment. Thus, it would be unecessary.
It's a good thing if they will do that in school, but I think it's hard to hire someone that is going to teach that in a school. Hiring would be easy but those who would teach it will be hard. Is there a degree already for this industry? If I,'m not mistaken, there's nothing. Also, not everyone could teach a certain technology without that credibility 'coz misconceptions are more likely to happen therefore, wasted time for the students. We might get there in the future but for sure it won't be soon or at the present.

Because of this, it wouldn't be possible to consider bitcoin in schools a good thing, I'm pretty sure it would do more harm than good. Students will neglect their studies and rush to invest in bitcoin to make money. Bitcoin is not always profitable, and if they lose, they will easily create social evils, or they will become discouraged and do not want to continue their education.

I don't know about the government including Bitcoin in the curriculum at the University and college education level but there are already some Universities in the US and UK that offer courses for blockchain technology, and Ethereum Development Course. An example is edx, University of California (Berkeley). Besides, you can join their online free courses.

In some countries, it's already a part of education (in France, for example). In many, it probably depends on a particular teacher and whether a teacher would want to introduce some topics, as well as on the school. But I agree it's not widespread, but something that should be widespread. Adding crypto courses at the level of university isn't enough because many people don't go to universities, and the courses are usually aimed only at students who study IT or something related. Adding at least some topics into Economics and/or IT school courses could boost the knowledge about Bitcoin of the younger populations. I don't think it should be advertised, as we're talking about minors here. I think it should be talked about, focusing on the facts about different ways money can work and on Bitcoin as a relatively new form of money with its features.

The fact is that many countries are watching the evolution of bitcoin and how it is being used globally by many citizens from various countries. They've just been hesitant to incorporate it into the school curriculum because of its volatility. No government wants to be blamed for their investment in a school that later turned out to be less than expected. Some countries include blockchain technology in some of their skill acquisition programs, but they don't want it to become so widespread that the entire country is aware of it.
