You did well in bringing to our notice the football leagues we have in Nigeria. So many of us no sabi d kind leagues or clubs wey we get for our country due to we no d watch our country's football matches. Inasmuch I know small, I think sae the Nigerias premier league of this season 2021-2022 don end. Em go better make we know d clubs wey come out top for the Nigeria premier league games. So that we go know how our states football teams are performing in Nigeria's premier league

Senior man,thanks for bringing up our local league game come our board. I know say many of us no even remember about our league or we no dey get time watch am. The reason be say naija neva advance reach when anything wey dem dey do make the serious to bring out the best result, instead na mago mago dem dey do. Na only Nigeria league fans dey rush enta field beat player or stop match due to misconduct.

Nigeria gra gra and open eye na e dey jones us,wey we dey fill say na we know pass. I bin go watch one match like that wey as Bayelsa united dey host Kano pillars,omo as Kano Pillars dey win 1-0,something wey no suppose cause any problem wey referee blow,once na e all this da boyz rasc everywhere wey them gas cancel the match. Make we try dey real for once. As we don get this thread I go try to follow up if them no go vex me.

Chairman weldone oo this one na really nice idea for introducing our Nigeria league in the group. The last league as we have seen so far was won by rivers united. My state club bayelsa united just recently got promoted to the main league and am hoping to see them perform and try their hardest to maybe win the league

This thread na really good thread because e go even expose us to our league and help us know teams wey dey play well for those of us wey be football fans. One thing wey i no too take like nigeria league be say na always home Team dey win matches well well , e dey hard to see team wey go away go win match.

This thread go really help a lot of us here to know more about Nigerian Premier League and Nigerian National League. Going through the table, I just saw that Kano pillars has been relegated to division 2 and I didn't know before now because I not dey too follow our local league. So, make we join hands together make am fun with news, updates and match day results.

The fixtures for NPFL 2022/23 had been released, it's like an abridged version of the league because the clubs had been dividend into two groups A and B
The Group A teams are Shooting Stars, Gombe United, Nasarawa United, Enyimba, Akwa United, Plateau United, Remo Stars, Kwara United and the newly promoted El Kanemi Warriors and Bendel Insurance.

The Group B has defending champions Rivers United, Rangers, Lobi Stars, Wikki Tourists, Dakkada FC, Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars, Niger Tornadoes and the newly promoted and Bayelsa United and Doma United.
Top three teams in each group will play a mini super league of six clubs the winner of the league will  a whooping 100, 000,000 million naira while each participating team will get 10,000,000 million naira interestedly we would the opportunity of watching live matches on outdated NTA stations, if there are  opportunity to watch those matches I think we should analyze it here.

So Happy to see this thread, my major concern is how can we be watching our country league games like the way we watch other European league games, I mean on our local TV stations?

I just wish the NFF would make it possible for those of us that can't make it to the stadium to watch it at home. It would be a welcome development and the camera quality too is something they need to work on.

I dey feel say Rivers United Football Club, go defend their title for the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Wike don give them better ginger as na $20,000 wey Wike give each of dem for winning this just completed season own. This one na almost N15 million naira each. If na you shey you nor go like win again?

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has redeemed his pledge of $20,000 to each player of Rivers United Football Club, for winning the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

Currently sef, na only them be the Nigerian club wey remain for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Club competition this season. I am rooting for them

Vincent Enyimba who was the goalkeeper of the national team (Super Eagle) is training other countries' young footballers how to keep ball on the goal post. And he is a Nigerian. Now the question is, where is the problem coming from? Is it the management team (NFF) or the leadership issue? We should learn how to use own so that there will be an encouragement in it.

Did previously NIGERIA not have local TV broadcasting live Nigeria Premier league football matches.
It seems that every country must have a TV broadcast that broadcasts their country's Premier League football match because that way it can make citizens more fond and interested in football matches in that country's league.
And from the organizers of NNF, at least they will receive income from local TV broadcasts that broadcast football matches live.

Thanks for bringing this up here Man, you've done really well, this is an opportunity for me to get to learn the different clubs we have in Nigeria, I am not a fellower of Nigerian football and not because I really don't want to, but the reason is because I hardly have time and most especially, Nigeria premier league is poorly funded and their publicity is extremely low.

News and social discussions is what sometimes, drives me to want to know what is happening in the world of football, and for our Nigerian clubs, social discussions about them is almost zero, as hardly hear or see people discussing about NPL or other Nigerian leagues.

But thank you for brining this thread up here, it would go a long way in educating many of us here on/about our local leagues.

Change of League Name

The Nigerian Professional Football League has been changed to Nigeria Premier Football League. It is no longer called the former but the latter. Yes as Sexylizzy2813 said, there is no specific TV channels that set aside for the Nigerian football league but there are some occasions that the matches are shown in the national television stations. And also you can follow up in their social media channels for the main time while waiting for TV stations.

Bendel insurance is doing great this season with 23 points on nine games. They have lost only two matches and won seven matches. They won their last match against Eyimba, I see the super form in Bendel insurance as the players are ready to win NFPL this season.

Eyimba is doing fine but not as expected, they are second on the league with a total point of sixteen from nine matches. The toughest group in the league is Group A where these two clubs fall into. We are hoping for the second stanza of the league to start as players are going on break for the forth coming election in the country which is on this weekend.

Yes they are playing well in the season, but I don't think they are going to win the tournament. Eyimba in this season getting loss guide. Eyimba is one of the strong team in NFPL but in this season they have not really impressed me. Bendel insurance might play the final with Bayelsa United or Akwa United because these are some the teams that can face Bendel insurance.

Rivers United vs Enugu Rangers is going and they have played for about 45 minutes. And from the previous matches between these two teams, Rivers United FC won the Enugu Rangers. But in this match Rangers are playing very well but Rivers United still have goals attempt compare to their opponent. Football game is game signs and wonders. The first half is almost gone with 0-0. Probably one of the teams will do something in the second half of the match. I am still supporting Rivers United to win the game. Let me hear opinion on the on going NPFL: Group B.
