I heard that too, it seems FIFA has finally listened to complaints of fans from the whole world. At least with this, people will be able to afford to watch this world cup live. But yesterday while scrolling on X I saw Donald Trump banning more countries from coming to USA as from January. Most of the Africa nations banned are in the world cup, so my question how will the national team see support from their fans, and this can cause low ticket sale. This might be a repeat of the FIFA club world cup again.

I just wished The US were going to put up some really stringent policies to get them protecting their space for any reason they wish to, rather than the complete ban on these countries, it will not tell well on their players as the morale support they get from their fans does goes a long way to help then with their performance and the economic benefits the US could gwt from their presence would be affected, but then they know how best to handle all of it and I just wish for fans alone there could be some exceptions.

We have said this long time ago that the football world is easily been influenced way too much by politics this days and this is easily possible because of those at the top, they them selves are corrupt such that even if corruption is taking place they do not actually get to voice it out, I am in no way against the idea of countries actually keeping their culture while hosting this tournament, but some of these terms should be clearly stated such that if doesn’t favours the participating countries and its fans, a decision can be made earlier not that we will have this laws coming forward after the other process has been done.

I was reading that Suriname too could be disqualified because of political interferences with the local football association, and in that case they simply wouldn't play the intercontinental playoff, no other team would be called instead of them. If Congo are disqualified for any reason then it would be the same, calling up Nigeria would be a huge red flag.

If they disqualify Suriname it's a big slap in the face, if they throw him out they leave a hole in the playoffs it's the usual cold regulation situation, you're right about Congo.

While Panama qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Suriname need to win another two matches in the inter-confederation play-offs (scheduled for March 2026) to gain entry to the world cup. If they get disqualified, then Bolivia will be given a walkover to the match against Iraq, and the winners will qualify for the World Cup. But to be frank, FIFA is banning them only because Suriname is a small and powerless country. If it was Italy or Saudi Arabia, do you really think they would have banned them?

Politics is everything in the world of football sir. There's no country that can get a hosting card without a touch of political agreement because they also understand how important hosting a given tournament in any country could positively impact on the host nations economic growth and infrastructural growth too. As a matter of fact, it always goes to the highest bidder always. Why was it that south Africa became the first African nation to host the world cup?

Marginalisation still occurs. Smaller nations already know that they cannot compete with the elite nations and they don't even bid at all. Politics is always there even during the tournament when many host nations get a weaker group and also get some unwarranted favouritism during matches. Everyone knows it and fans always tend to understand this too.

There are many important matches there, while there's a lot of talk about security in Mexico, so tourists won't be watching there but will instead be flying to the United States and Canada. I think the United States is very adept at managing the situation in the best interests of its country. The World Cup will still be filled with fans from the qualifying countries this is just the beginning of the process to attract fans and tourists to the United States as the host country.

These teams seem absurd to me that there is only the possibility that these teams play the World Cup and Italy does not, it seems really absurd to me, obviously everyone has the possibility of qualifying, but it doesn't seem right given the history of some national teams and the popularity they have

Football fans will go to the country where their team is playing at. So, if team is playing in Mexico, they surely won't go to USA or Canada but instead to the place where their team is.

Also, I don't expect some major security issues during world cup as I am sure that Mexico will make it all they can for it to go smoothly and they have capaicty to make those 3 Mexico cities safe.

I agree that hosts should be able to build infrastructure and have a large budget for the World Cup. On the other hand, the host country benefits from strengthening their economy and tourism sector. Regarding the United States, I think if they want to make the final match like American football, I think they've polluted world football. It's a good thing because it will give these underdeveloped countries more exposure and give them the privilege to earn money. Some of the money that will be realised by these national teams could help to promote football.  Players of these countries will also get exposure that might aid them in connecting to top clubs.

But it will reduce the quality of the World Cup. Some of these struggling teams might not be able to compete with top countries. Nevertheless, I think the advantage is greater than the demerits.

Trump should know that this is the world cup coming to America and he should be careful with the types of laws that he should pass before the start of the world. Hosting the world cup means that they are hosting the rest of the world and now that the world cup is expanded they should be ready to accommodate people because, alot of people will be coming to the united states because of the world cup that is that is been played in the United States.

Trump is a businessman not a real politician and the people around him aren't experienced in politics or as diplomatic as the previous governments from decades. Thus banning countries with low economic values will not make maybe hundreds of empty chairs in the stadium for few countries. This just means that the cameraman has to not focus on that empty sides. To correct the budget loss, the price of the tickets for the other matches skyrocketed comparing to the previous versions. You can imagine the same thing happening in hotels and accommodations. I don't know if there will be the conditions to guarantee security in countries like Mexico, but where there are many fans there will certainly be more controls by the authorities and it is certainly a good time to try to bring extra money to such a country

USA will definitely find a way to make this back, I doubt that it will be a cup with very few visitors because of the prices. I understand that it may look very expensive, but for a world cup at USA that is actually normal and they are going to be able to afford it without a trouble.

The best we can do at the time would be make the prices fit for the Americans and because Americans can afford to pay a lot more and willing for it, this will cause the prices to stay high because it is getting sold. We are not going to see Qatar type of games where majority of the games are half empty, we are going to have Americans fill it, and worst case, last minute tickets will cost very tiny and will be grabbed by anyone around there.

I’m not really sure how much Americans watch soccer. I agree that since the MLS has risen to a higher level, there have been many more spectators, and since they are the hosts, they will also follow their national team. In any case, i think the stands will be full regardless of ticket prices. People will come from all over the world, and i think Americans will take a break from watching the NFL (just kidding, of course) I definitely think it will be a big spectacle

Donald Trump already has been doing good things for preventing this event for any possible problems, recently he banned 39 countries' citizens from visiting USA, and they are also having packages which are not for all, this will surely give them good result because they are understanding how things are working right now in different regions. Today I accidentally came across news that will nonetheless partially cheer up and satisfy the most loyal fans of all the national teams participating in the World Cup, who don't have thousands of dollars to spend on tickets and other expenses. It seems that FIFA (probably after all the criticism from fans) will make some tickets available at a price of $60 to national football associations, and these tickets can be distributed by the national associations to the most loyal supporters of their teams through fan clubs and societies.

I can already see national associations sharing majorify of those tickets to their friends and sponsors, while only a few will end up in the heands of the real fan.

Despite the hgh prices, I still expect the full stadiums as demand on the world cup is usually higher than the supply (unless you put WC in Qatar  so then you have to hire people to act as fans )

Yes, you're right, that is a possible scenario. 
Still, in this way, at least a smaller portion of true fans will get the chance to watch World Cup matches live in the stadiums, which is a welcome, although a delayed and insufficient, change. 
I'm not sure that the stadiums will be full at every match, maybe when the host teams or the best teams in the world are playing, but otherwise, I expect half-empty stadiums.
Actually, I hope for such a scenario because it would be a lesson from the fans to the FIFA officials.

Football and politics have always been, and i say always together, football is of the people and politics with it is one of the fundamental pivots of society, it is normal that there are things that unite them, there are these things and there will always be interests for everyone even in sport

Dirty politics and personal egos are always having great influence on sports it's never been going to end because every powerful country wants to stay ahead of all this is happening again while Russia is punished for their attack on Ukraine, and they are not allowed to have anything in UEFA and FIFA, but Israel is having all rights to go ahead with their influence in USA politics.

But, power is always going to have changes its matter of time and things will be taken another change big event is just less than six months away preparations on last touches as host countries are doing their best for keeping things on another level USA is main host of this event many biased policies and rules are already implemented by the USA because they are always wanted to be stayed at the top in every country and FIFA which is the most corrupt sports organization stands with them.
