I'm really heartbroken with our loss vs Australia this morning.    We weren't this bad man... What happened to us? Where is the same team that qualified for Euro 2024 quarter finals?

We had a much stronger squad technically. But football isn't played on paper. We were too bad and I have big worries about our next fixtures with this crap game.


I had a slight doubt about Germany after 1-1. But they are now meeting the expectations in this easy game. Still nearly half an hour to play. More goals might be on the way.

Lolz, Germany really destroys their opponents in a very bad way, every team really has to face such a bad situation against Germany. In the second half, Woltemade two strikers had to play in place of Kai Havertz, who didn't develop much in this match. I think Woltemade is very good, with his tall stature, he will trouble the Curacao defense, guarded by Bazoer and Obispo. Hopefully, they can secure the 3 points for the German national team.

We were not just impressed but also entertained by the German machines this evening. This is just the best way to start the tournament dunking too many goals on Curacao.

Curacao is made like a training ground for Germany, reminds me of Germany vs Brazil.
However, Germany victory was expected, but not to such a score, what I enjoyed in this match was that 30 minutes in the first half, Curacao could still keep its defense and also score a goal, after that, the match was entirely Germany.

Oh, btw I am very disappointed with Turkey result, they had to lose in a match that at least the worst result should have been sharing the points.

In my estimation, the World Cup will become more interesting when teams like, Germany and Brazil or Portugal and Spain plays and other stronger teams play against eachother.

Do you think Morocco were that good or maybe Brazil was just very poor in the game and did not play to the best of their ability Because I was not satisfied with the performance put up by Brazil considering how talented the team is and the big expectations there they should not be drawing in their first game, and be hiding behind the excuse that it is because they have Neymar junior injured. I don't think Morocco would have been able to sustain against a very good playing Brazilian team that put up A better performance I feel the Brazilian performance was poor that is why Morocco had a good show.

Brazil performance was lower than expected, still it doesn't rule out the formidable tactical strength of Morocco, the Seleção would definitely not beat Morocco too well had they played in their best performance. The Brazilian players of then are no longer that of today, they're like a team that feeds off past glory, those strong times of theirs could scare teams like Haiti, but not Morocco. The game didn't end in a draw because Brazil was less in form, no, Morocco does play great football.

The match ended 7-1, I actually predicted draw for the match, because that's what most countries that aren't really strong end up in, but Germany proved me totally wrong.
At this point I have no idea if it is Curaçao that is weak that Germany dominated the full match, but from what I saw I'm not sure Curaçao has a weak team, and if that is the case than Germany has a chance of winning the world cup no doubt.

Germany ended the first half with 3-1 lead and I believe that's enough for them to win their opponents who just came to the world cup for the first time. It was a beautiful header from Schlotterbeck to give his nation the second goal and Havertz penalty has lessen the pressure on the German side.

The second half is about to start and I believe that more balls will be put into the back of the net.

Germany started the second half with an immediate goal, and I think they will score a few more before the end of the match. However, it is also possible that once Germany reach four or five goals, they will begin to play more conservatively, because they still have several important matches ahead of them, and there is no real reason to push at full intensity against an opponent like this.

That's your own decision and not the Germans because they extended the goals to seven after scoring four or five, it wasn't enough for them. Of course, they still have other matches to play and scoring a good number of goals wouldn't make them decline in performance rather, it will boost their confidence and morale in the next game.

I expected more goals in the second half but Germany scored more goals than I expected. This is the first game in this world cup with the highest goals.

Germany came all guns blazing and a fantastic way to start their World Cup campaign, this German team share similarities to their biggest club Bayern Munchën; they play without pity for any team they meet. Curaçao probably knew the outcome from the kickoff but I commend them for even getting a goal in this game. There’s more to look forward to in this World Cup.
Japan is a strong team as well as the Netherlands, a draw is a good bet but BTS will be better and safer.
The knockout phase is definitely going to be very exciting, it is for every World Cup.

Football fans expected Germany to sweep Curaçao aside, and Germany live up to the expectations of football fans with a 7-1 defeat against Curaçao. you're right, scoring a goal against Germany is already a pretty good achievement for Curaçao. I would note that Curaçao's counterattacking game is rather decent although their defense looks a bit weak. I think Ivory Coast and Ecuador won't have as easy time against Curaçao as Germany. at least Curaçao has a good chance of scoring more than just one goal at this World Cup. if Ivory Coast and Ecuador draw Curaçao could even have a chance of advancing from the group.

Curacao scored their first ever goal in the world cup and this is a huge step forward but still they conceded 7 goals and thats crazy,i think they should have defended better and maybe park the bus but they played open football and against a team like Germany you cannot do that because their quality is crazy. I honestly didnt expect such a big result and such good attacking football from Germany. With this 3 points and a huge goal difference we can already say they have qualified for next phase because they currently got a minimum third place. I think also that Curacao wont get a single point in this group but still who knows in the next two matches for them.

I did not expect the result too from Turkey but I think their long time away from the tournament could be having a torn on them but a 2:0 cleansheet loss to Australia just isn't excusable. They couldn't even reply with a single goal. I hope they recompense their fans in their next game by winning it and making sure they qualify from this group stage.

I saw what Germany did there. They gave Curacao a brief hope by letting them lead on goal as the game started.  It was that I never doubted Germany winning the game even as Curacao opened the scores.
Right now the next game Japan Vs Netherlands is about to start, but am looking at no more than 3 goals from that game.
