You are wrong to say that Ecuador failed to qualify for the next round, do you know that the format of this World Cup is different from the previous World Cup.

That means they have a very high chance of advancing to the knockout stage with a few matches left. I believe about 8 best third-placed teams qualify for the next round. I don't think you should even write them off. They are certainly qualifying.

I am beginning to love how football goes and the mystery behind football. I was with my guy when this match started, he started explaining to me the percentage of people that predicted that Germany will win and the percentage that predicted draw and the percentage that said Ecuador will win.

I actually did not understand this logic, the reason Germany might lose is because both teams have 11 players.  . If they said that, since Germany already qualified and it is like a dead rubber and they might have been relaxed, while Ecuador needed this win to confirm their spot and hence they will be trying their best to win the match and if that had been the explanation, it would have been fine.

I didn't expect Germany to lose this one, i've already lost my second ticket in a row. First England, now Germany... congratulations to Ecuador, they played really well, fought hard, and also had some luck on their side. I expected Germany to finish the group with three wins out of three.

It is actually hard to win a bet in this tournament, because losing your bet on these favorite teams in a row shows that we should be very careful with these World Cup games. Ecuador played very well and doubled their lead which I was expecting from Germany, but it seems they were comfortable with the score without realizing that Ecuador were looking for a small opportunity to be ahead of them, which finally worked out for them.

It's too early to say Ecuador doesn't qualify for the next round, because they still have a chance to be one of the 8 teams that qualify through the best 3 positions. So we have to wait for the group stage to finish, if Ecuador have fewer points than the 3rd-placed teams in their respective groups, then they won't qualify, but with the 4 points they have at the moment, I think they can qualify for the round of 32.

The situation is getting interesting because three teams are already in the round of 32 Sweden, Ecuador, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. After watching the remaining fixtures, it's not easy to predict the remaining teams, but I have some personal analysis.
Belgium, Cape Verde, and DR Congo have a good chance of going into the next round. Turkey were late to the party and that's a word that suits them now whereas if they could have had a good game like today's first half there's a good chance they would have been able to qualify for the next phase but now they're hopeless and will remain last in Group D.

Not going to work. At half-time, Australia vs Paraguay match is tied at 0-0. If it remains like that, then Paraguay will be the third placed team from Group D, and they will have 4 points. And this is going to be the story for majority of the groups. There will be a lot of third placed teams with 4 points each. South Korea and Scotland will be at the bottom of the table with just 3 points. I don't foresee any possibility of South Korea progressing to the next round. It is a shame, I agree. They are one of the strongest teams from the AFC, along with Japan, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Heung-min Son is 33 years old. He will have probably one more chance in the 2030 edition.

USA was suppose to continue dominating the group till the final game but is like Turkey have woken up to do what they were suppose to do right from the beginning of the tournament but from how I see it, is too late for them to start showing signs of seriousness. Leading one of the host 2-1 is like watching how Ecuador played against Germany, when it is too late they start playing like they are one of the best in attacking and touching the ball with so much confidence.
Well, for me I don't expect USA to lose this game, is still an open encounter for both side, 2-1 is not yet the final score but 3-3 could end this game because the force i expect USA to come with in the second half won't be as easy as we saw in the first half and the defenders of Turkey are a little bit shaky to withstand the pressure till 90'mins. Can't really be too certain but it could end in a draw and Turkey are going our without winning a game.

It's true that they seemed to be losing in this World Cup failing to advance to the next round. However Japan's experience was different. They had already secured their place in the next round despite drawing with Sweden in their last match. However they scored first meaning the match ended in a draw.

From the player side it is clear that they have more players competing in Europe and in contrast to the Japanese team some of them are competing in Europe and their players are not so dominant against the team they defend, in contrast to South Korea their players are more active in the team when playing as happened to the player who once defended Tottenham namely Son Heung Min where the player is one of the important players who once played with Tottenham meaning it is clear that the quality of the players owned by South Korea is better than the Japanese players even though currently the Japanese team has managed to qualify for the next phase rather than South Korea which went home first.
This statement from a player who once won with Manchester United against his own country is true, and he confidently stated that regarding the South Korean team's performance they were more likely to return home quickly than Japan whose game was superior and their fighting style was more consistent than the South Korean national team.
