I never thought it would be possible for Exuador to defeat Germany tonight, what an interesting twist of events and another percularity of thise year's world Cup! I will be losing my bet if Germany fails to win as it is looking obvious they would but Ecuador look so impressive tonight that I have forgotten my money while enjoying the game. Ivory Coast on the other hand is enjoying a free win to position themselves gor qualification together with Germany.

Germany already know they have qualifed even though they win loss so they weren't bothered, they scored an early goal and not very long Ecuador score to make a 1-1 draw and later score in the second half to win Germany 2-1 but despite winning Germany they didn't couldn't get a second place because Ivory coast also win to level same point with Germany which has made both teams to automatically qualify with 6 points each and only left Ecuador with 4 points which i believe they will be able to come up among third place team, we are gradually moving to the interesting part of this World Cup.

Ecuador has pulled another suprise of this tournament, what a finish. I never saw this coming and to think that they won this game coming from behind is another level of suprise. How was Ivory coast able to beat this Ecuador team that played this Germany? I was initially supporting Germany in the beginning of the game but after ten minutes into the game I had a different view and supported Ecuador. For me, this game is 2 : 0 because the Germany's goal doesn't seem right because was that not a foul?  Despite conceding the first goal, they got more impressive and I can say that I love every moment of the game. Ecuador was given a chance to qualify by Germany, with a narrow victory that has revived many hopes. Ecuador play wasn't particularly threatening, but when they found a chance, they capitalized. I consider this result a gift from the German national team.

I haven't watched the game but I'm not very happy with the result as I did place a small bet on Germany.
Did Germans actually play for the win or did they go easy on Ecuador and let them win?
This 2-1 loss doesn't really affect them too much, as they still finished in the first place, but it's not a good look for a team that is considered to be one of the favourites to win the cup.


For Ecuador, this is a big win and they are going through to the round of 32, which is already a big success and there's a lot of celebration going on in their home country.

I honestly believe that Germany won't go far in this world cup, they should not use the fact that they have qualified as an excuse because as a big team you should try to get all possible points and aside their first match against Curacao they have not been in an incredible form and in today's match they did not rest much players and most players that were out are injured.
Regardless I think this performance from Ecuador is what we had expected from them at the beginning of the tournament and I don't know if it's now a little bit late to showcase such prowess.

The Ecuador verses Germany match is another one that ended with the surprising outcome as Ecuador somehow managed to beat Germany by 2 goals to 1, that's a very impersive outcome and congratulations to those who somehow saw this match ending like this and predicted right.

This is why I always say that winning football games isn't always about the team that are known to play better or to have more will skilled and talented players, sometimes, luck does contribute to helping a team win, because we are to be honest, I understand that Ecuador did played a good game against Germany but Germany themselves weren't sleeping on the pitch either, they also played a very good match against their opponent, but it's quite shameful that luck simply wasn't on their side, and that made them loss the match..

I also lost my bet on Germany to win that match against Ecuador, but thats not a big deal anyway, moving on to the next one.

It was a very balanced game I’ll tell you that match. Germany played to win but of course, you wouldn’t expect the same intensity like they had in their first game. Ecuador was the one team that had all hands on deck for this game because, it meant so much for them. This is a team that have being behind on performance, haven’t played teams we would see them to be their better without a win, they took Germany on and won.
Neuer certainly wasn’t at his best, he let several balls slip through his fingers and wasn’t proactive enough to saves. Germany lost but, they are still top of their group.

I already predicted Ecuador to win this particular fixture with Germany so I’m not surprised to see Ecuador winning the game. Ecuador have just 1 point in two matches and for them to stand a chance to remain in the World Cup they need to win Germany and get the three points to enable them secure a place in the play off as one of the 8 best losers. Germany on the other hand already have their qualification to the round of 32 secured after racking up a total of 6 points. Apart from that, I don’t really see the German team as a team that’s too strong in this World Cup, they almost lost against Ivory Coast if not for their late comeback which earned them a narrow 2:1 win. Ecuador really needs this win and congratulations to them for securing the three points.

I agree with you, Germany made a big mistake in this game for not showing that same energy they displayed against Curacao, it should have been the same story on every other opponent they have faced in the group stage but they started acting slow against Ivory Coast even if they won the game and Ecuador that missed important opportunities to stay as a competing team in that group now have a chance in the round of 32 by finishing 3rd on the log because they won against one of the deadliest team. Germany are lucky to have won their last 2 games if not the story would have been something different from what we saw now, qualifying for the next phase doesn't mean they should throw away all 3pt like you said, at least a draw should have been the story.
For now they are still among the favorite until they are eliminated and the next chapter of the World Cup the round of 32 is when we'd know who's serious to play. For me the Ecuador side are the ones that won't go far because they don't know how to capitalize on opportunities given to them instead they throw chances away and if they are waiting for this lucky chances then they should think again, unless the coach would go back and correct some errors they made in the group stage, they need to be fast a little bit when it comes to counter attack and not just that but to make it count.

In this match, Morocco team competed very hard against Haiti team, Haiti team tried to save themselves. But finally Morocco is capable of performing more, it has proven and has been able to reach the next round. They will continue to try to advance to the final in this World Cup by dominating themselves at this stage, but they showed surprise in the last World Cup 2022. But they are facing pressure now in this World Cup, so as time goes by, they will have to work harder to dominate again.

I can't believe some people actually tried to downplay the World Cup after Argentina won it in 2022. Unbelievable. This is the biggest football event ever. Nothing else comes close.

When i seen that Germany scored that early goal i was honestly expecting an easy win maybe even a big win. But Ecaudor just didnt give up and was able to turn this game around somehow and go through into the knockout rounds. Germany could have saved more players because honestly they didnt need to go all out as they did and still lose. Germany needs to learn from this because they conceded again goals and in each game they concede at least one goal and i think that is one of their biggest problems currently.

It is actually hard to win a bet in this tournament, because losing your bet on these favorite teams in a row shows that we should be very careful with these World Cup games. Ecuador played very well and doubled their lead which I was expecting from Germany, but it seems they were comfortable with the score without realizing that Ecuador were looking for a small opportunity to be ahead of them, which finally worked out for them.

However, Ecuador is known as a team that is usually kicked out of the group stage of the World Cup. Hardly have they advanced to the next round since they started participating in the World Cup. They should try to do better next time
