It will be good to see him in the World Cup and I think that, even at his age, he is still our best midfielder. I am still not sure that Iran will take part in the FIFA World Cup of 2026. In a few weeks time, the deadline for announcement of world cup squads will close. If Iran announces their squad, then we can say that there is a still a good chance that they will take part in the world cup. If not, FIFA can argue that the FFIRI has missed the deadline and then replace them with some other team. At the moment, I would not take any statements from Gianni Infantino seriously. He is campaigning for his re-election for the post of Fifa president, and at this point his statements should be regarded as pure PR.

In history of World Cup, Roger Milla is an oldest player who performed best in World Cup with four goals in World Cup 1990 and helped Cameroon going to quarter finals. It's the first African national team went too far to quarter finals in a World Cup and his performances in World Cup 1990 is very energetic and amazing.

Cristiano Ronaldo will play World Cup 2026 at his 41-year old and honestly his body is not as strong as Roger Milla in World Cup 1990 but his advantage is his teammates. Portuguese national team actually have many star players at different age and they have good combination of young and old players so that Ronaldo can be supported and covered by his younger teammates. Isn't this the exact thing that was said about Messi in the 2022 world cup? Where a lot of people said that the 2022 world Cup was the last for Messi before he retires and that he really deserved to lift the world Cup for his country as a fairwell/retirement gift to his country and his people, and eventually him and his team ended up winning the world Cup that year, and did Messi retire? The answer is no, and he did be playing again in this coming world Cup as well.

Me, I would say that let the best football team win the Cup, there is absolutely no needed reserving the cup for the top stars in the name of "this is the last time they will be playing in the world Cup tournament before they retire", creating this narrative can push refs to give the top stars team a form of special treatment when ever they are playing and this could create partiality, this was exactly what happened in the AFCON because some persons thought since Morocco was the country that hosted the tournament, they deserved to win the Cup, let FIFA not make same mistake in the coming world Cup.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo is still old enough to perform in domestic leagues, it would be wrong to expect him to perform brilliantly in the World Cup. Even football is not a one-man game, every player on the team has to perform brilliantly to win the title in the global tournament. In this respect, Portugal may be behind other teams. In the current tournament, I want to put France, Spain and Argentina ahead of them to win the title and consider them the favorites. Portugal, Brazil, Morocco, England, Germany and Uruguay can be considered as second-tier favorites to win the World Cup.

I currently consider Cristiano Ronaldo's chances of winning the global title very small. Even if he has a slight chance of performing brilliantly, the title is very difficult. However, I am also interested in seeing him win the World Cup.

US has high transportation costs even the people have to spend $80 - $90 for one time travel which this is very expensive and i think what Scotland people did is very creative because it can reduced transportation fees during world cup and regardless all of it i can see Scotland people have very exticed to watch their national team playing that's why they will do anything to support their team and i think it's normal if Scotland people do not missed the opportunity to support the team

The difference between having the world cup in Europe and having it in USA is that, one is a nation that is size of a continent, and the other is a whole continent and you pick nations that are as small as just states or even cities in America. Meaning, there will be games played in California and also in New York, that alone is side to side as wide as Europe entirely, so of course transportation is not normal and the fee2s are huge.

One thing you should consider is team work. Only Ronaldo cannot win the world cup if not, he would have done that long time ago. Portugal has quality players but not enough to win the world cup because we have other strong countries from Europe that are far better than Portugal in their performance.

Let's see how it will go this time and how far Portugal will reach in the world cup. If Ronaldo doesn't win the world cup nothing changes. At least, he's the world richest footballer.

That’s a fair point, I hadn’t considered that. Until the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran announces the squad for the World Cup, they won’t be able to participate in the tournament. Due to the military conflict with the US, Iran might boycott the World Cup and choose not to attend, even if they are cleared to play. Nevertheless, I hope the FFIRI won’t deprive their fans of this football feast and will allow the national team to head to the World Cup.

I would also love to see CR7 end his career by winning the World Cup but I don't think he will manage to do so. In fact, if you asked CR7 himself, even he might admit that his hopes of winning this World Cup are not very high and that he will focus on enjoying the tournament. Of course, saying this is not easy for someone like CR7 because he loves to compete to the very end wherever he finds himself  but unfortunately, the reality is different. You know why?
Because the US and Israel are the aggressors. Now flip the card around and let's assume that Iran was somehow the one that started the war by bombing the US and Israel.  

Let's not forget that Russia is banned from the same football competition because they started the Ukraine-Russia war. In a normal unbiased world with no double standards, the US should have been stripped of the right to host the World Cup, and both the US and Israel should have been banned from the competition for starting a war and committing crimes against humanity.

What problem does it have for Iran to name the roster of its national team? They have players who won the qualifying tournament, plus I think there is a pool of players who can replace those who are injured or cannot play for other reasons. I haven't heard of Iran having any issues with the deadline for officially submitting its team. Like all other national teams, Iran is waiting until the end of the season and then submitting its official roster.

Announcing of Squad to the World Cup is usually 10 days to the World Cup, this deadline is simply still one month away from today and sincerely the Iranian football federation still have ample of time trying to actually curate squad list for the upcoming World Cup and it is even too early now to have them announce the squad as we don’t know how the players will fair before the season ends. I don’t think the Iranians are actually concern about the squad because they are definitely players ready to represent their countries.
What they are totally concerned about is the safety of the team at the world considering that all their grow games will be in the US which is currently in war with them and sincerely they seriously have the right to question this because of the US government can arrest some Pro supporters of Iran in the US then it’s not actually bad to be gurantee safety before the players move their

These are mere speculations, I don't like seeing a team centered on a single key player. Portugal team is always around the fact that Ronaldo is from the nation, which is a big factor, yet makes no much difference at advancing in the game, you've mentioned great players like Fernandes, but football in the world cup doesn't work with the number of squad in a team, collaboration does the progress for every team, Portugal, despite having the likes of players you mentioned was eliminated by Morocco in the last world cup, Spain too, didn't make it past the round of 16.

I'm not judging them with their performance in the last event, but world cup is a classic kind of competition, it's not about who you've got in your team, the tempo is always too high for every participant, knowing how tough it was to qualify for the competition, who would have believed that Morocco would beat Spain. Those teams I mentioned are not perfect too, Germany for instance, didn't make it past the group stage in the last competition, but they're world cup materials, just like Madrid is known for their champions league prowess.
