Madueke performance was pretty good this season compared to previous seasons maybe, that was why Tuchel add his name to the list. Tuchel is only focused on players that improved their performance this season and did better in their clubs. Palmer has dropped form and Tuchel feels that he has nothing to offer in the upcoming world cup.

Madueke did well this season, but he was more of the second choice since he joined Arsenal and I don't think he deserved a place in the World cup. Tuchel made a big error by dropping both Palmer and Foden for the World cup in place of Madueke. Since Saka is on the list already, he should have chosen either of Palmer or Foden .Tuchel is a good manager I can attest, maybe he has a plan in mind. Let's see what happens to England this time. But I do not expect something special...maybe somewhere in round 16.

Are you sure about the stats? I checked Noni Madueke's performance for Arsenal this season (2025–26). He has scored a total of 8 goals from 42 matches. From where did you got the other two goals? Cole Palmer on the other hand has performed much better for Chelsea during this season. He has scored 11 goals from 34 matches so far. Palmer scores a goal every three matches, while Madueke scores one every 5+ matches. In case of Phil Foden, he has scored 10 goals from 49 matches so far for Manchester City. I would rate Palmer ahead of both Foden and Madueke.

Is Portugal in such condition to win the FIFA World Cup? I'm sure Cristiano Ronaldo will play there and there is a big chance he won't tolerate sitting in squad, he will want to play and if he plays, that will be a very bad decision for Portugal, the team will play better without him but honestly, is Portugal in such shape to be the favorite? I think that Argentina, Spain and Germany will win the world cup most likely. My heart is on Argentina's side but I feel like Spain is going to win. From what I see, Messi is still Messi and can change the fate of the match at any time. Even if he doesn't play, a free kick is enough to give Argentina a score.

Win a World Cup for Portugal is just beyond reality like wining a world cup required a good team with talented player in insightful tactics. Despite Portugal didn't have any this quality like only speculation and fans wish can't determine whether they will really be able to win their prestigious trophy or not.

I know people are just hyping the Portuguese team due to Cristiano Ronaldo like they are just in wish that it's a last dance for Cristiano Ronaldo and wining a world can give him a better fair well. But to be honest this is absolutely unrealistic expectations.

I agree sometimes media, with the help of bookies, creates good hype about any specific team. This mostly ends in big losses for people who put their money in and feel it's going to be good and profitable for them, but this never ends on a good note.

Even Portugal has few good players, but still they are having not good performance in big events. This is always their problem. I am expecting them to have a spot in the top 8 teams, but this could be enough for them. After this, it has never been easy to have good results against teams that are having impressive combinations, which are always a problem for them because they fail to keep things in balance and fall down in challenging games.

Ronaldo is always a big factor for them, with not good results this time. Winning the Saudi League is also working, but not having enough space to win the World Cup.

Even if i am Tuchel i will not pick Cole Palmer and Foden over Madueke, Madueke has help Arsenal this season than Palmer and Foden this season, Palmer and Foden are still in the shadow of themselves m since the beginning of the season, Palmer is even worst than everyone because he missed some chances and penalty that will have helped Chelsea to win some games, Foden and Madueke are far better than Palmer this season and that is why Tuchel did not see Palmer as important in the World Cup.

The players i am not happy about not being called for the World Cup is Trent and Magure, those players deserve to be called and Tuchel called another players because they won a trophy and even a player from Tottenham that is fighting for a relegation at the end of the season, one thing i believe it will happen to England in this World Cup is that they will be one of the country to get eliminated so fast in the competition.

Thomas Tuchel is a very brilliant manager and I believe he will go a very long way with the squad he has chosen. The addition of Eze will add more sauce to the forward alongside Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka. I have to admit that Thomas Tuchel is among the best managers that will be at the world cup and I expect to see the best of football from England. The only player I would have wanted to see on the list is Harry Maguire but he is missing probably because he has his own judgement of a better version of him he would have wished for.

Whether Cole Palmer deserves a spot in the squad or not is another question. What I was pointing out was that the stats posted by Solodoski was wrong. I don't disagree with your argument that he is having a relatively poor season. England coach will have to make a few tough choices during team selection. England is home to the most popular football league in the world, and as a result there is no dearth of talent available. But given the fact that England last won the FIFA World Cup almost 60 years ago, I would say that having talent alone doesn't always guarantee a win.

We have already talked about this countless of times but for me the major fault in the England list for this world cup is not Palmer and Phoden because despite their talent and majestic play they maybe could be replaced and we dont know how they behaves between the other players of the team in terms of fellowship so the biggest and incredible one left behind is Maguire he was the captain of the team in this whole process How you can left him behind now???

Came across this post this afternoon and remembered immediately that in this world cup no single Real Madrid player made it to the teams call up list. There was a time Spain wanted to make it's national team consisting of only Barcelona players, I understand that he club has more of Spanish players than Real Madrid, Atletico and other back then, because of this the coach at that time wanted to exclude Ramos, but Ramos was too good and a beast in front of defence. He was too good to be ignored so the coach decided to play him at RB instead of his natural CB position and instead paired Puyol and Pique, that combination wasn't that solid as Pique isn't a good CB. After it was confirmed that the combination can't work, the coach switched to Puyol and Ramos CB combination and Spain had a solid CB defence. Naturally, if not for the ruggedity of Ramos, he would have been pushed out of the team.

Madueke did very well this season and he deserves to be included in the squad for the World Cup, is not about two Arsenal forwards going to the World Cup is about how well they can perform so don’t make it look like he did not do well for including two Arsenal forwards players and then abandoning the other club forwards, the coach watched all the players this season and he selected the best he can use, sometimes is not all about performance is about adopting to the style of play the manager wants so let’s see how everything will turn out to be but I believe England will do very well in the coming world cup competition because they have very good squad.

Yes it is a very bold move that the England coach has taken to exclude some expected players from selection because by doing so he has put his career on the line because the intention is clear it is either he wins the World Cup with England or he will get fired and criticized heavily for his decision and get sacked.

And one important thing we need to know is that the Portuguese players are currently in top form at their respective clubs, at least in the last two seasons. Their squad is very complete with quality players on all fronts, this makes them have a chance to win the WC title. I wondered if in your countries and cities there are also people going crazy with the official FIFA2026 album, and establishing secondary markets for the rarest stickers (particularly Messi).

There in Venezuela there are a lot of my acquaintances who are buying a lot of stickers in order con complete the album. It is stimated a box of pack is worth about 300 dollars. Which is insane for a country like this one which has suffered from crippling inflation in the past.

What are you experiences with Football World Club albums?
Do you think it is worth it or it is just a other way to get money from fans in exchange of something which may be worthless?
