I think Norway has what it takes to be the dark horse of the tournament. They did incredibly well in the qualifications, winning all of their 8 games, and they had Itay in their group. This could be a team to watch, and placing a small bet seems reasonable.
In their World Cup group (group I). they have France, Senegal, and Iraq for rivals, so, if their form is anything like it was in the qualifiers, they shouldn't have problems advancing to the next stage.

Why did the odds actually favour Spain more than France. I think France has the most dangerous squad for this world cup. Spanish sqaud is made up of young and unpopular names.

I think Portugal will be a good bet for anyone. They have a strong midfield that can make a statement in the world cup.

Saudi Pro League and World Cup aren't even close to each other. I doubt Ronaldo's performance in this World Cup a lot honestly. In the group stage, he can play for longer minutes.

Because 2 of their opponents are too easy to handle. However Colombia is a really tough one but I assume Portugal would still finish as the leader. And after the group stage I think Ronaldo will come from the substitutes instead of starting lineup.

I am sure this is the last World cup for Ronaldo, and he will be eager and determined to win it. Ronaldo is getting older, which is clearly affecting his performance. Ronaldo might not be strong like he use to be, but Portugal still has quality players that can lead them to winning the World cup.  I know Ronaldo will not be effective in key matches after the group stages just as you said, but looking at his public status and undieing taste for a World cup, we might see him in the starting line up.

It took so much discipline to still maintain the kind of fitness Cristiano Ronaldo current flex. Despite his veteran age of 41, the Portuguese star is still very much fit to play in the biggest competitions. However, he's not expected to remain with the national team of Portugal beyond the summer FIFA World Cup tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are one of greatest footballers of all time, if not the GOAT, and they had a very long mutual competition during about a decade, so it is natural to see people keep comparing and discussing about these players with each other. The fact is winning World Cup is not like the only factor for comparing these players and finding a better one between them.

Like Ronaldo de Lima (Brazil) never win UEFA Champions League title but does it decrease his value in football history?
There are normal, average players who won UEFA Champions League titles but do these titles make them better and greater than Ronaldo Brazil?

I don't look at the World Cup title to say Messi is better than Ronaldo but I consider Messi is better based on his skills and effects on his teams during his player career.

Don't you think that everyone is underestimating Argentina? Argentina having the same odds as Brazil? That is something I can't agree with. Brazil should not be in the top-5. Take a look at how they performed during the CONMEBOL qualifiers and you will understand. Brazil finished at the 5th place, behind Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay. During the last qualifier match, they lost to Bolivia by a margin of 0-1. I don't think that the situation has changed very drastically in the last few months. I can broadly agree with Spain, France and England being in the top-5 though.

There is a huge difference between the standard of the Saudi Pro League and the standard of the World Cup, so scoring goals in the Saudi League will not automatically have the same effect in the World Cup. However, I do not completely agree that he will definitely be benched after the group stage. Experience in football, leadership, big-match mentality and goal-scoring instinct are still valuable assets. Especially if he is fit and the coach thinks his presence is beneficial for the team, he can be seen in the starting XI even in important matches. So it is not possible to say for sure without watching the game.

Another thing is that national team coaches usually do not select players based on popularity. If there are no internal complications in the Portugal national team and Ronaldo's fitness and performance are in line with the rest of the team, then we can expect him to be in the starting XI.

Not winning this World Cup won’t Change anything about what cristiano Ronaldo has done in the world of football but winning it will mean so much to him and will take his name to another level. Portugal have one of the best squad in the tournament, they stand a good chance to win the World Cup but it never going to be easy because sometimes the teams that cause you the most problems is the team with a low quality.

For me I would really want Portugal to win it this year as this will be the last dance for Ronaldo, his name deserve a World Cup to it, he has done so much for football. At 41 he his still putting the numbers together, he his still scoring goals like he always does and for now the journey to a thousand goals still continues.

I think Germany may also be underestimated, just like Argentina. Overall though I agree with this ranking in the sense that Spain and France are among the biggest favorites in the tournament. For some reason, I feel that one of them could end up winning it. Spain has always been very strong, while France tends to go through ups and downs from time to time. It's hard to say about Brazil as well,they can be considered among the favorites because they have won the World Cup many times. Bookmakers also tend to rank them as favorites because bettors are often more willing to place bets on them.

This first four are the biggest whales, but I still don’t know why England should be among the top four favourites but thats just the bookmakers opinion. Was expecting Portugal to be among the top four favourites countries but the book makers don’t believe that have that quality to be there, let see how it’s going to end but what I do know is that England teams is just overhyped, of course Spain team is great and are capable of of winning it, France will struggle as some players from the last World Cup will not be part this time. Last time out, I felt Argentina will have a chance but i never put them in front because there were more solid teams like England or Spain. I will not take any of these teams yet until I see how much performance they put in. England under Tuchel will be more hungry than they were under Southgate but yet, their will be other teams hungry and desperate to win too.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still doing very well, we have many young players in the Saudi pro league but he is still made it to 3rd highest goal scorer this season with 28 goals, is that not a wonderful season for him as his age, this shows that his still very much capable of helping out his country in the World Cup however even though he won't perform at the top but one of the reasons why he needs to go to this World Cup is so he can coordinate the team very well his leadership is still very much needed in the World Cup than scoring goals, Cristiano Ronaldo been in that team we make the players put in their best, it will give the players a high spirit in every match.

Cristiano Ronaldo certainly doesn't need any introduction, he has several appearances under his belt, including the one in 2006 which was truly remarkable for a young boy, I'm happy to see him again in the World Cup, it's not something to be taken for granted for players of his age, it's difficult to always perform.

Even difference is not too big, I really disagree with the given odds. Spain is not stronger than France which have stronger attacking system and better squad balance in this World Cup with players of two national teams. With odds for England, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Germany, I agree with these odds that show reasonable orders of those national team's strength and competitiveness in this World Cup.

In my opinion, beyond strongest teams like France, Spain and England, I think Germany can be a very interesting team in this World Cup, with potential of going very far.

I think that Croatia being put in the mix with Turkey, Switzerland, and Mexico is a little bit disgraceful, but that's just my opinion. They still have a great squad and some big, up-and-coming talents that can shine in the World Cup. When I see the USA, Morocco, and Norway having a better chance according to the bookies, it gives me a flashback to the last two World Cups where they proved everyone wrong. But we will see.

Secondly, we haven't seen a quality striker like Can Uzun until this friendly match. This team should have players like Can Uzun or Deniz Gül in the forward line.

I don't think important for Cristiano Ronaldo reaching 1000 goals but how can bring Portugal reach to the final and for the first time become the champion, its 6th appearance for Cristiano Ronaldo in World Cup and most highest achievement third position finish at World Cup 2006. No doubt rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but most important Ronaldo not winning World Cup trophy and Lionel Messi have won last edition.

I'm sure there's no value here, the quotes are generally good, but if you compare them with Polymarket, then... there Norway is quoted at x34, and Belgium at x48. https://polymarket.com/event/world-cup-winner As you can see, traditional bookmakers have a huge underpayment for tails. By the way, if you bet on the top 10 favorite teams (which I've included in the quotes) at Polymarket, you'll get +12% if one of those teams wins. I saw on Twitter that some people consider this a value proposition. Personally, I will look for riskier options.

Berke's exclusion from the national team is due to him leaving the national team camp without permission. I think Montella did the right thing regarding Berke.
Uğurcan will be in goal. If he gets injured, Mert Günok will take his place.
Altay will never be the second goalkeeper. We saw that in yesterday's match. He's very bad at bringing the ball into play. He made a faulty pass, but the opponent's shot didn't hit the target. If it had, it would have been a goal.

Because Spain are the last champions of Euro 2024. They eliminated France in the semi finals there as well. 

That must be the reason why Spain are one step ahead. To tell the truth, I can't say I disagree with bookmakers. Spain are more convincing with their game recently.

Portugal have good odds for the championship, yes. It'd be surprising if they win the World Cup. They have 0 trophies in here in their history. However it'd be a fun bet anyway.

I'll probably do the same with Turkey.    They are much less likely of course. But as I said, for fun...
