Cristiano Ronaldo truly deserved to win the FIFA world cup but the question is can he be able to win it at this current age? Messi has won it for Argentina so I would want Cristiano Ronaldo to win it for Portugal but unlike any other competitions, the world cup is going to be highly competitive  because they alot of quality players who would want to win it for their country so it won't be easy for Portugal to win it.  However Cristiano Ronaldo still looks fit and he doesn't look like a 41 years old because he's stronger than he looks but he would need more than to win world cup.

Tired of answering this question again and again. Cristiano Ronaldo will be 41 by the time he plays his first match of FIFA World Cup 2026. And Lionel Messi would be 38 years. But those who have watched Ronaldo in action for Al Nassr during the Saudi Professional League would agree that at the moment he looks 10x more fit when compared to Messi. Age is not everything. You can have someone who is in early 40s vastly more fit when compared to someone who is in his mid 30s. Ronaldo's issue is something else. His issue is that he doesn't usually get a lot of support from his team mates.

To even still be talking about Ronaldo and Messi still on the same pitch is amazing. Will be a great watch probably both of their last world cups.

This might not be Messi's last World Cup, but it's definitely Ronaldo's. There's a three-year age difference between them, and they've been in a fiercely competitive environment for the last 20 years. If Ronaldo played in the World Cup at 41, Messi might want to play at 42. Of course, this isn't something that will happen just by wanting it. If Messi takes care of himself, pays attention to his health and nutrition, and avoids major injuries, he could participate in the next World Cup. I don't think either Portugal or Argentina will win this World Cup. My favorite is Spain.

Cristiano Ronaldo on his 6th edition of the World Cup have just a thing on this mind and that is winning the World Cup, that the only thing missing in his cabinet, that is what he desires so much right now. I think they have a good team to make a statement at this World Cup, i Would even say that have the best midfield in the tournament, I just hope it all workout for them.
At 41 it not going to be easy for him but he has proven that age is just a number, we have seen in putting in goals even at this age and the fact remains he his still the best forward Portugal still have at this time. For me I would really love to see him win the world in what his last dance in this particular tournament.
All C.Ronaldo fans want him to win the world cup because he deserves it, we know Fifa doesn't reward world cup,I believe the Portugal team has all it takes to win the world cup this year, they're the most complete team in the world right now. Ronaldo has to be fit with the team to win the world cup this year, he's a goal machine even at 41 years, he's still keeping fit to challenge for the world cup. Truly C.Ronaldo age is just a number, and that's why the fans love him.

Almost all football fans want Cristiano Ronaldo to win the World Cup this time. Because Cristiano Ronaldo is a very good player, no one wants a legend like him to retire without a World Cup trophy.

There are many better teams than Portugal and many researchers think that Portugal is not even in the 4th position in terms of strong teams. France is definitely a strong team, Argentina, Brazil, these teams are definitely in a much stronger position than Portugal. If each player of Portugal is able to play the same way with each other, then they will definitely have a chance to win this World Cup.

yes, i believe that his appointments are very easy and he is not putting in too much effort, i believe that the World Cup is necessary to always have the opportunity to show off and always have the power to continue to do well, having continuity at times is necessary to always have the incentive to try to score more goals.
I've seen a lot on social media that the support for Portugal is massive, yet I've also seen Mexicans asking if they'd prefer Mexico or Portugal to win the World Cup. Without exception, they all answer that they want Portugal to win because of CR7. This has awakened a strong feeling in favor of Portugal, not so much for Portugal itself, but for CR7. That's how most people see it. Of course, there are detractors, which is perfectly normal.

Spain happens to be the favorite for me in this world cup and I'd also love to see them in the finals. They have so many good goalkeepers and they have all been good at their various clubs. Unai Simón, Joan Garcia and David Raya, these guys are on the picture above but only 1 need to start, which will you prefer?

Well if you are making exceptions, then I would like to point out that Lionel Messi isn't on the same category in terms of physique as Ronaldo because Christaino Ronaldo is physically strong and fit more than Lionel Messi despite the age gap, I mean you can take luiz squarez for example, he isn't as old as Ronaldo but you can see from the way he playing that he virtually have just one season left in him as he out of shape and can even hardly run.

Every team that puts on a very good performance, and makes it to the last 4, deserves to win the world cup. It's a team victory, because it demands a team effort for it to work out. Sure CR7 is still very healthy from his recent performance, but having him alone is never enough criteria to win the world cup. It's a team work, and not individual work. Luckily for them, they currently have one of the best midfielders at the moment, but what about other positions?. We all know that Dembele stands a chance to win, not because he's a very good player, but because he's playing with a very good team. Same thing goes for other top players that are playing with top teammates.

There are many possibilities we can consider regarding these two irreplaceable star players. both Messi and Ronaldo are, in fact, equally extraordinary. However,, given his age, it is still possible that Messi might participate in the World Cup again in four years’ time. As for Cristiano Ronaldo,. it would be hard to believe that he would actually return to play in the next World Cup.

But if we recall the discussion we had here during the previous World Cup, we said the same thing about Cristiano Ronaldo, I think. Many of us said that might be Cristiano Ronaldo’s last World Cup. Because at the time, we thought it was impossible for him to participate in the next World Cup in 2026. but it turns out he’s still capable and trusted to represent the Portuguese national team. And interestingly, his physical condition seems just as good as it was back then.

Spain boasts elite goalkeepers who dominate Europe top leagues. David Raya is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and led Arsenal to the league title. Joan Garcia is also a top La Liga performer with numerous clean sheets, a high save percentage, and the Save of the Month award with Barcelona. Unai Simon the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, is also a top goalkeeper with extensive experience and solidity due to his numerous caps.

It could be said that Spain has the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and the best goalkeepers in La Liga. In my opinion, Spain first choice goalkeeper is definitely Unai Simon, even though Joan Garcia and David Raya have won their respective leagues. But Unai will remain Spain first choice goalkeeper regardless as coach Luis De La has consistently trusted him and he has even stated so on several occasions.

I feel Unai Simon is our of the debate as I don't really fancy especially when compared to the other player's, the bug debate is between Joan Garcia and David Raya. Blankly I would alot of people will definitely pick Raya of the crazy numbers and season he has had but seeing as he has one of the most terrific defensive line I feel Garcia was the most expose since Barcelona's defense is literally non existence, this put Joan in more precarious situations with lots of tricky saves

That is why is really hard to decide who's going to be the number 1 for Spain, all 3 goealkeepers are good but base on stats many would go for the Arsenal goalkeeper, yes he's good and he did well compared to the other two. I have to choose Raya because of what the club he plays for have done since the beginning of this season till the end, in the epl he dominated the league and I sure hope for them to call him the goat in England as a goalkeeper. But if we go with Raya assuming the decision is made by many football lovers, who would be second in command? If there is a way to start all 3 goealkeepers I'd love it but come to think of it, the goalkeeper Unai played less game while Raya played more games than the other two and he has shown more for me to choose him over the others, Raya should be the number 1 for me.

World cup is not in the books for Portugal and it would be very good for Portuguese people and Ronaldo fans from all over the world to accept that. I know that Messi won a world cup, and this made all the Ronaldo fans to hope that Portugal to win one too so it would be equal and you could feel that Ronaldo reached and equalled it.

But it's just not going to happen, Portugal is not as good as Argentina that is just simply the reality. You can hope as much as you want, but that is not going to change.

There's going to be a very big challenge in the world cup this time around. I know Portugal is one of the best contenders because they have a strong team, but when comparing their strength to the other top contenders like Spain, France, Brazil and Argentina you can see that it's going to be a tough challenge for Cristiano Ronaldo to win the world cup. Lionel Messi fans are full of confidence that he can win the world again which I strongly believe it's possible.

My predictions for the teams I'm certain to win the world cup are Argentina, France or Spain but I would prefer if Lionel Messi win it again it will be another great achievement for him and also less the fans comparisons between him and Cristiano Ronaldo

As someone from Asia, I’m actually pretty hopeful that Portugal will win the World Cup. Although I won’t be rooting for them wholeheartedly because I also have a favorite Asian team I want to support. Still, the hype around supporting CR7 is always pretty intense. And right now, a lot of people are hoping to see CR7 lift the World Cup trophy. although, well, that would be quite a challenge for any team. even though Portugal is indeed one of the favorite national teams in the World Cup, that still doesn’t guarantee anything. But it would certainly be a huge celebration if Portugal were to win the title.

Not as good as in what way? if the WC title achievement yes I agree, Argentina is much better, but if for the quality in the current generation, I have to speak according to the facts, the current generation of Portugal is much better, every line is occupied by players who are in their best performance at their respective clubs. But I also don't know if Portugal will perform great in the WC and win the title, but at least with the quality of the current squad, they have that chance.

I know Cristiano Ronaldo fan are just on wish for World Cup like they think that for GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo only need a world cup despite these people are under a misunderstanding because for GOAT not only World Cup is the criteria despite for GOAT he should need to won more thropy than Messi, most Ballon Dor than Messi, more Golden shoes than Messi, more the best awards than Messi etc. This all is the remaining terminals for him to recognize the GOAT seat....

However, if we talked about the World Cup winner then probably I would never pick Portugal as winner because they didn't have the winning capacity. I know twgy have very good team but for me their possibilities is lower than other like Argentina, France, Brasil, Spain etc.

In this World Cup, Portugal has much better and more skilled players, and their quality and consistency are also better, but sadly, few teams are looking much better than Portugal. This could be big trouble for them because they need to be at their best to end their drought of World Cups, but it's going to happen again.
I personally give ratings to Spain, France, and Argentina for the last spot. Portugal fights hard with England because they also have a good chance of ending in the last four. Surprises are always part of the game.
Any team from Africa can also give a surprise, but it's going to be challenging. Morocco is a dark horse, while any other team in the top could be a big upset because quality is on the decline.

Ronaldo is likely to conclude his career without a World Cup. Sad He couldn't get a World Cup trophy in his prime years. Now I doubt he will see it in his last years before retirement.

I wonder how the other players in the team feel about having him beside themselves even at this age. You know when Ronaldo is there the way they play also changes a bit.

Ronaldo shouldn't be at the centre of the game anymore if they want to play for the title. He still has a great physique but I can't say he is reliable enough in big tournaments.

yes, i believe that his appointments are very easy and he is not putting in too much effort, i believe that the World Cup is necessary to always have the opportunity to show off and always have the power to continue to do well, having continuity at times is necessary to always have the incentive to try to score more goals.

That's because Ronaldo commands a very large global followership of ardent supporters who wants to see him win the only trophy that's eluded him. He's worked so hard to win the FIFA World Cup, I'm one of those who honestly want to see him lift it at the end. Portugal this time stands a very good chance of winning, I hope they end up with the trophy.

Ronaldo faces many serious challenges in this World Cup. France has Saliba ready to guard his movements.
And the other national teams are also similar, with an average age of under 30. It's certainly not easy for Ronaldo. However, his presence in the Portugal team could be a strategy for opposing teams to focus on him while creating space for other players.
And that's the good thing, he'll have many challenges and things will be at another level for him. That shows he'll have to work maybe three times as hard as when he started in football, and that's what he expects, that's what he's prepared for. Everything is there for him. Even Messi had his World Cup, with a lot of help, but he had it. So I think the world of football isn't about merit, but about who scores the most goals, who wins the most games. That's what CR7 has to do.

I think the first person not to start base on current form is actually Unai Simon, he is among the Spanish leaders already and he is decent when making saves and also good in the periods of penalty shootout which is actually good but let’s be realistic he is not that so better than the other two who for me posses same characteristics as him with even better reflexes than makes them to actually save more than him. For me any of Joan Garcia and David Raya can start in that goal but my pick will be Raya because currently with how the season ended he needs to be the number one to complement his great season in my opinion
