Portugal does have a solid team with super good players that cannot be ignored or over looked because they are in good forms and have obviously stood out in their various teams in their club side which shows how well and of great impact they can be to the national team. so i believe they will do so well at the world cup.

Portugal's squad is quite stable. They have talented and experienced players in all three platforms, defense, midfield and attack. More importantly, Portugal's players have played very well last season. Bruno Fernandes in particular has been in incredible form this season. He has scored 9 goals and provided 21 assists in the Premier League.

We will not find much weakness in Portugal's squad. They have quite talented players in all three positions. Now if the players can play well in their respective positions, if the understanding between them is good, then they have the possibility of performing well in the World Cup. And the team also has the ability to do well. Portugal's squad is not behind in any way compared to France or Brazil.

Funny thing about the world cup is that sometimes having a golden generation of players doesn't guarantee you the world cup so I won't be backing Portugal undoubtedly to win the world cup.
One think we should agree on is that Portugal have the team to do it, yea I agree but they won't be able to do it. Everyone is talking about Bruno Fernandes but for me if the team is to go far then vitinha also need to be brought up more often because he will be the glue at the midfield for them.

That's for some people, for me, am most concerned about the game. Watching the live actions form my TV even though I wouldn't be live at the stadium. You know, it gives a special kind of feeling especially if you are a football lover. So, the first day ot opening performance will be very interesting too, but I focus more on the game actually and see what happens. This time again, Nigeria failed to qualify for the fifa world cup once again, and we have some other African countries to battle for the trophy. It's gonna be an exciting time in the world of football. Let's see how it goes, let's see if Argentina will go far this time too

They had better players during Ronaldo's prime than they do today, but luck hasn't been on his side. I'll make this about him because I know he's in the fore front of everything. The man is a competitor and his passion to win the world cup is stronger now than ever, because this is his last dance. Well, the friendlies don't determine the results, but what I've observed is that the teams in their group are much weaker-- that could be an advantage IMO.

France is very strong. But defeating France is not an impossible task , as the Ivory Coast players have proven a few days ago. France lost 2-1 against Ivory Coast. Even so, France is undoubtedly the strongest team in group I. They can qualify for the next round from the top of the group.

Not only France, but Senegal is also a strong opponent for norway. They do not have any star players except Sadio mane. Even so, their teamwork is quite good. Norway has a big chance of losing this match too.

Yes beating France in the FIFA World Cup is not an impossible task as we have already noticed because Ivory Coast has already defeated last year's runner-up team in a friendly match but you should notice that most of their best players in the attack were not there in that game. However it is without a doubt that we can assume that France is the most favorite team in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and they have the possibility of becoming the group champion there. Honestly it seems that Norway and Senegal are a bit stronger in Group I but they may not be able to stand up to France because this team has a lot of experience.

In football, any team can beat any other team, and we have witnessed that many times in league competitions. Also, in the last World Cup, we saw many surprising results, as unexpected teams reached stages that many people did not expect them to reach.For example, Morocco reached the semi-finals of the last World Cup, which was a great surprise to everyone. So, the possibility of a team beating France in their group is very real because there are strong teams in the group. The only team I think has less chance of beating France in the group stage is Iraq, but the other two teams can beat France despite the great squad that France has.However, let's wait and see what happens in the group. I believe France will qualify from the group, but it may not be an easy task for them.

The countdown has almost turned from years to hours. People are desperate to watch their favorite stars in their national jersey. This is going to be one of the best events in soccer history because too many big names are in it, while everyone is going to have their mark with performance and skills.
Few surely will shortfall because competition is challenging, and it's never been easy to have wins. Spain and Argentina are looking much stronger, while France also has impressive depth and consistency, but who is going to stay till the last minute is always a big question mark because the game is now having enough challenges.

South Africa have not been in the World Cup for a very long time now, they will not be an easy team to play on their return to the World Cup. They did well during the qualification phase leading to the World Cup, they had very few losses, and that result should not be taken lightly. I have a strong feeling in my guts that African teams will be a lot of shocker in this World Cup and maybe it may just start from the first game with South Africa showing to Mexico that they are not in the competition to play. South African actually finish second in their group, if they miss the first place.

So far, the most cohesive looking teams in my opinion are Norway and Portugal. Though how accurate is it to consider Portugal a surprise, that’s another story.

In the previous World Cup there was Morocco as a surprising team as you can remember. They eliminated Spain and Portugal to reach the semi finals which was really insane!  

They are a part of this World Cup also. What do you think about another surprise by them? I guess expecting that from them would be too much. But I also think there could be another surprising team in this one.

I really hope that the surprise will be Japan. I mean, they already improved a lot during the last World Cups, their movement grew exponentially during the last 20-25 years, but they never managed to achieve a noticeable result in the World Cup despite beating big teams. I hope this year they can finally reach at least the quarter finals.

Japan were really good in the friendly matches too and they're a team that's used to playing together. i'm also expecting a quarter final or even a semi final from them. Norway will also most likely make it to the quarter finals.

Norway also have the potential to progress from the group. They will finish second in the group behind France.

Countries like South Africa certainly have a chance of succeeding in the group stage, but that probability is somewhat low. We see a few teams pull off surprises in every World Cup; could South Africa surprise us this year? I don't think that would surprise anyone.

Remember the previous World Cup? Morocco beat Portugal in the quarter-finals. Yes, they didn't go any further, but even that achievement was very enjoyable. Watching things like that at the World Cup is a pleasure for everyone

Yeah, but that's literally about all they can do. Colombia could be finishing second there, then lose to whoever they face and go home, I doubt there are any teams that they can beat after the group stages are done.

Portugal on the other hand depends on who they face, if they face someone good right out of the gate then it would be tough luck, but depending on matchup luck, if they face some easier teams, there are like maybe five teams that I may say will pose a threat to Portugal, everyone else in this cup, there are like 40 or more teams that Portugal should be able to beat normally.

Their World Cup group now consists of France, Senegal and Iraq. I can't say it is an easy one. France would finish as the leader most probably. Senegal might be a challenge maybe but Norway look promising to qualify for next round.

You’re right, Portugal have a strong squad to compete in this World Cup, but I only hope they can give it their best to fight for this trophy. Majority of Thai players does not use to play for their country like they used to do in their respective team. The last time they played very well was last season when they won the Nation League against Spain, that is the same energy I want to see in the World Cup.

Their squad is indeed very good for the quality of players at the moment because seen from all lines at the moment they have above average quality but this still cannot be a belief they will be able to reach the final because some other big teams are also currently still quite good especially now with the schedule more and more and the clubs that follow it also increase so there must be some surprises even for new teams.

But Portugal still has the advantage of probability at the moment and I honestly expect them to do very well this World Cup period with the squad they have.

I saw a news today that Neymar Junior is getting better from his injury. I just pray he gets well so he can join his teammates in the World Cup competition. injury has been the biggest problem of Neymar Junior, and that has made him not to achieve the big awards he would have achieved in football, his a very talented player who loves to play with the ball, I really want him to be in the World Cup because I enjoy him playing. I know his going to help Brazil in a very big way especially in the leadership way so he needs to be in the World Cup.
