South Korea are set to face the Czech Republic. I can’t predict who will win. Both teams have strong players and their squads aren’t bad. Whilst both teams have a high chance of winning, I think the likelihood of the match ending in a draw is just as high. It’s truly a match with three possible outcomes, and frankly, I think both teams are capable of scoring. It’s worth noting that the Czech Republic failed to score in only one of their last ten matches. That match was against Croatia. I believe they’ll be able to score in this match as well.

Portugal's World cup squad is very strong. More importantly, most of the players in the squad were in excellent form last season. For this  reason, Portugal is considered one of the favorites for this world cup. Portugal has a lot of talented players in the squad. If portugal manager Roberto Martinez  can use the players properly and if he can create a stable match strategy, then portugal will undoubtedly be able  to play well in this world cup.

I hope so with Portugal they have a lot of great players in it this will be a good combination for Roberto Martinez as the coach now, which is where Portugal should be the team that is favored to win this season although some bookies do not position Portugal in the first place, but this is not a real benchmark.

Holland still have a great team, they clearly didn't play challenging, they both kept a low profile, we'll see in the important matches how they perform, i also think they can make their mark.

They're experimental, no one intends to win or feels the pressure, that's why they're fun.
But since there is nothing at stake, there is no real commitment, only the competitive challenge and sometimes, in my opinion, this is insufficient.

Yes, I know that no one takes these games seriously, but I try to watch them all night long because I am addicted to watching them, and when the players perform on the field and when they score goals, it is clear that this game is very different from a serious game. There is no celebration from the players after scoring a goal, there is no rush to score goals, the players perform very carefully on the field and they only continue the game by passing each other. I will watch the match between Portugal vs Nigeria tonight and I think that Portugal will win that match even if they see it. Ronaldo Wil be playing against Nigeria in his career, and we that are his fans from Nigeria will be supporting Portugal tonight, it's hard to support Nigeria against our favorite player Ronaldo,  since Nigeria didn't qualify to the world they have to play for fun, Portugal need it to keep fit ahead of the world cup.

Secondly, this world cup will be boring, the host countries are already maltreating and denying fans entry into USA, the unjust treatment is not good for the world cup, football was meant to foster unity among countries,  these are sportsman and should be respected.  The US government should allow fans to enter into the country, football is not politics.

I agree with you: the tournament begins in a few days, these friendly matches are just to keep the players in good shape otherwise they wouldn't be play for weeks. But they never give 100%, and there is no reason to do it at this point. The result is totally irrelevant in this kind of matches.

Yes.. that's why I said that Iraq's good performance during the friendlies should not be taken as a proof that their performance has improved a lot. They struggled a lot during the AFC qualifiers, and they are playing the main event just because luck favoured them. But honestly, they have near zero chance of getting a single point in Group I. Without any doubt, it is the strongest group in the entire tournament, and their only outside chance of getting any points would be during their match against Senegal. But then we are talking about a team that has players such as Sadio Mané and Ismaïla Sarr.

I think friendlies are only useful for them to test tactics and playbooks, and the problem is that they end up giving false hope, especially to teams deemed unfavorable. Then, when it comes to the real match, things are different, and here, Senegal have the edge, both physically and mentally. They're up against players who are used to playing in the Champions League and have a lot of experience, so saying they're fortunate they qualified isn't entirely wrong.

Mexico have Advantage of Home Ground . South Africa is not that's good which give tough time to Mexico.  South Africa can't recover from that's 2010 worldcup Truma Huh. Mexico easily beat them in the first match it's obvious they have good squad and also home ground advantage.  And I think Mexico can be so good in this worldcup they can easily finished their group Top. In addition to having home-field advantage, Mexico also managed to hold Portugal and Belgium to draws. Another factor to consider is that Mexico also defeated Ghana and Serbia, even though those were friendly matches.

it really seems like the teams have equal chances in this match. teams of similar strength usually play cautiously in their first matches because a loss would dramatically reduce their chances of advancing from the group. that's why a draw seems the most likely outcome in this match.

although, if we take head-to-head matches into account, South Korea won a friendly against the Czech Republic 2-1 in 2016. but we know that a friendly match isn't always a good indicator.

Am not really surprised about the results that I saw at the end of the game. The Portuguese were the favorite going into this game. And I most say that this game was a open game because both teams came out to play that is why the scoreline was 1:1 in the first half of this game. Nice win for Portugal and after watching this game I can say that Portugal is ready for the world.


Even though am not just impressed with the performance that I saw from the Portuguese. Because I was not too impressed with the performance of Portugal coming up against a team like Nigeria which has not been in the best of forms which saw them not making it to the world.

One thing with football is the fact that, you cannot easily predict a tournament's winner based on the squad they are coming with, this is because football has a way of making underdogs become very unpredictable in tournament, so the dynamics of the games might change and people style of play that they normally use to gain superiority over their openings might be destroyed, because of how it has been studied and a counter measure has been created. ordinarily I'm one of those persons that will support Portugal because of my fanaticism with Cristiano Ronaldo but I cannot outrightly say that Portugal are the favorite to win because of the unpredictable nature that football comes with,  surprises comes every season.
