Jonathan Tah scored a goal and I think that the goal was legitimate, but the VAR referee for some reason decided otherwise.
Germany didn't have any idea how to break Paraguay's defense. Nagelsmann is the wrong guy to lead the German national team. There's no chemistry between him and the footballers. He must be sacked. I have doubts that the German players haven't practiced any penalties before the match, which is a sign of underestimating the opponent(and a sign of stupidity as well).

There was a gesture from Waldemar Anton holding back the movement of the Paraguayan goalkeeper which disrupted his movement so his response was a little late so this might be a consideration for the referee not to validate this goal.
Speaking of chemistry, they are not very good despite having big names and some of their players certainly have good capacity but their teamwork is quite poor especially in terms of passing.
Nagelsmann still cannot take advantage of Germany's strengths even though they are one of the teams that are favorites to achieve better results but having to be eliminated in the knockout phase is clearly a fatal mistake.

2 big teams fell in the last 32 phase and there could be other surprises for some other teams especially this world cup although big names still remain favorites but there are some unexpected forces that could be quite troublesome.

I felt disappointed witnessing how Germany lost their game against Paraguay yesterday in what started like a play. Though I began to have some feelings of possible failure from the side of the German team when Enciso scored the first goal at 42nd minute of the game but I didn't feel discouraged about the possibility of Germany equalizing. Now when I saw the goal Kai Havertz at the 54th minute I was like I am sure the German players will bounce back despite their poor performance I did not expect Paraguay will succeed in front of the likes of Musiala Kimmich and other hot players in the team. Even at the verge of the penalty shootout I was still expecting Germany to show some capacity and outweigh Paraguay until when I saw them fumbling again and I am like it's finally down on this guys.

Both Germany and the Netherlands were favorites for many, but their demise has come, and I can't believe they were eliminated so early in the round of 32. I didn't expect it, and even worse, Germany who completely controlled the game, struggled to penetrate Paraguay solid defense. From this, I realized one thing victory isn't about the strongest team, but the team that never gives up.

European teams have always found it difficult to win the World Cup on the American continent. Teams from South America have almost always won.
only in 2014, in Brazil, did a European team manage to win the World Cup. that was Germany. a team from South America has won it seven times.

Shocking to me, Germany has crashed out of the world cup, this is still unbelievable to me as it stands, Paraguay eliminated Germany from the competition..I wonder how many odds it was going to be for Paraguay to eliminate Germany today. Some things can't just be seen untill it happens. Brazil escaped their elimination and won just before fulltime, Germany were almost on the same path but couldn't do it at end part of it, it went to extra time, still they couldn't score the decisive goal to separate them. Paraguay beat Germany on penalties to advance to the next stage. They would be on their way back home in the morning.

Honestly this is so sad for me because Germany was my favorite in this competition but the way they played today was not like the Germany that won 7-1 in their opening game in this World Cup. When Germany equalized the game I was so confident that they would pressure Paraguay but the defense of Paraguay was still the same way as the second half, nothing changed like they were still absorbing the pressure, Germany on the other hand was too soft in the second half, knowing fully well that if they don't get a goal it might hurt them , that aggressiveness was nowhere to be found and my question was, why start the final piece of the Germany game plan (Undav)? He was suppose to always come on as a sub but tonight Nagelsmann made a mistake by bringing him as a starter. I still can't believe what just happened.

They never reached good form and they never had the players to win this World Cup. You think they were the favorites and you say that when there are teams like France, Argentina and Spain. Does it mean you thought that Germany can beat all of them?   I talked to a lot of football fans and you are the first person who thought that Germany can beat the best teams with the best players in the world.
Paraguay deserved the win, made the right decisions and they had a strategy which you could recognise from the beginning and they did exactly what their coach wanted from them. Germany played bad and they can go home.

But as for Germany, I hoped they could beat Paraguay, especially Paraguay, who conceded four goals against the USA. I was never disappointed that they drew in the main and extra times to lose the penalty shootout, but was disappointed that I bet on them to win. What good can come from a country that lost to Curacao? Maybe all of us who were raising our expectations in the country were not thinking right. Don't let us even go far, check their last two world cup performances before this last one, they were kicked out in the group stage. This knockout stage is even an achievement for them.

The truth is that you can never compare this German team to the one that won the FIFA World Cup in 2014 in Brazil, the team that won the World Cup is a better team compared to this Present team, this German teams are struggling to defend set pieces, they seems to have average players in the team, I didn’t see Germany as a team that can win the World Cup, but I must say Germany played a better game yesterday compared to Paraguay who won on penalties, Paraguay was only interested in defending, and they were more lucky and Germany wasn’t lucky.

The goal that was disallowed for Germany was a clear goal, I don’t really understand why that goal was disallowed, Jurgen Klopp saying that without that goals Arsenal wouldn’t be Premier League Champions, because 60 percent of their goals was in that manner of impeding the Goalkeeper, Germany wasn’t lucky, they played a good football.

The game is now in the knockout stage and a loss here will mean elimination from the World Cup, so both teams will come out on the field with full strength. And since anything can happen in football, it would be wrong to underestimate Japan. Yes, on paper, Japan may be a weaker team than Brazil, but Japan is the best team in Asia and they play great football. I think if Japan can survive the full 90 minutes, then any team can win in a shootout, so it would not be surprising if Brazil loses. But the performance that Brazil was able to show in the last match of the group stage has increased the confidence of the Brazilian fans a little. I would also like Brazil to win this match, otherwise the World Cup madness will decrease at least a little.

Japan managed to score first, but then couldn't withstand Brazil's pressure and managed to draw and then defeat in extra time.
Japan's performance remains exceptional and surprised me with its good play.

In my opinion the Paraguay vs. Germany match was a fierce and tense one ending in a penalty shootout. Unfortunately, Germany lost the penalty shootout. Paraguay ultimately won the match, ultimately qualifying for the Round of 16. This certainly made Paraguayans happy because their team had advanced to the Round of 16 Unfortunately, Germany failed to win that match, ultimately leading to their struggle to reach the 2026 World Cup Many Germans are undoubtedly saddened by the team they supported's failure to win today's match

I lost my bet on this match because I thought Germany would win, but they lost, and I lost my money. Surely many people are experiencing the same fate as me, right? We don't know who will win the Sweden vs France match, but I think France has the greatest potential to win What do you think? and if France wins against Sweden then Paraguay must be prepared to face Mbappe and his friends and Paraguay must prepare everything to win against France and it certainly doesn't seem easy for Paraguay to fight France

I was speechless after seeing the results. I already knew that some teams were going to cause a major upset in this competition, but I wasn't sure of the teams that were going to be victims. Japan actually came close to doing the same thing, but Brazil found a way out. And as for the Netherlands, it's quite unfortunate that they couldn't achieve anything meaningful with a brilliant set of teams that they've been having for some years now. Some of them are not going to be part of the next world cup.

And as for all bettors out there, we might just want to calm down a bit because this competition doesn't look as easy as it seems. Teams are not longer willing to accept defeats too easy. They rather play a very frustrating football just to cause an upset, than to open up. Congrats to those that made it through to the next round, and best of luck to those that were eliminated.

I wonder if they could appeal against VAR referee, or if there is no option for this in World Cup rules? At least Jonathan himself didn't commit any foul when hitting the net, while Waldemar Anton's  foul on is debatable in itself. ^{Having Germany out of the competition at the earliest stage is nonsense from my point of view.  Two big teams saw themselves get booted out of the tournament yesterday and honestly that's not something football fans expected to happen. Germany got too comfortable in their skin and thought they could beat Paraguay but they didn't expect the outcome that met them.  Don't get me started on Netherlands where they should have held on instead they let one slip punish them. Big teams that should do well are the ones hastily dropping out.

Football is indeed full of surprises and most times, what you least expect from a team is usually what you see happening. No one would have thought that Paraguay will eliminate Germany from the World Cup at this stage, not even in a full time game will one assume that they will fall behind and not be able to win them. I thought this surprise game outcome will end in the group stage, but surprisingly it continues. Right now, even the other big teams playing against average ones, I won’t be so sure they can win them. See how Japan also held Brazil till the last minute before the goal that qualified them. This World Cup is very unpredictable and many people will even lose their best going forward in the tournament.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches because we noticed that both teams faced a lot of obstacles in the match between the Netherlands and Morocco. To be honest Morocco was the favorite to win that Round of 32 match, in fact as far as I know,  this African Morocco team achieved a lot of success in the last World Cup. However it was a bit surprising that when this match was decided on penalties, one of PSG's most reliable players, Achraf Hakimi, missed the penalty, actually after a tough competition, the African nation of Morocco managed to emerge victorious and it seems to us that they have found an easy opponent in Canada in the Round of Sixteen.

It would have been a shame for football had Morocco been eliminated by the Netherlands. Morocco was the dominant side throughout the match. They fell behind 1–0 to a goal by Gakpo, but in the 91st minute, Diop stepped up to score for Morocco, and the match ended 1–1.
There were no memorable moments during stoppage time. Although both teams performed very poorly in the penalty shootout, Morocco—being the lesser of two evils—advanced to the next round.

The Netherlands needs to accept a hard truth: Dutch managers simply aren't up to the task. Koeman has had no success as a manager.

I’m still surprise that Germany is out of the World Cup, I never expected this result, I was expecting Germany to even win without it going to penalty, World Cup is not actually easy. It is very difficult and the teams that you are expecting to win will not actually win and the teams you are not expecting to win maybe the ones winning, right now Germany is out of the World Cup, Netherland is also out, these are the teams we are thinking they will go far in this World Cup but they did not. But looking at what Netherland played in the round of 32, they don't look like who slack in the group stage, if not that Morocco stepped up in the last minute, it would have ended badly for Morocco. They are not the regular play that have to wait for counter attack, they make sure they give you what you think you can do.

I may not like Morocco like I'm deeply rooted for other African teams but so far in this world cup, they are the only team that has calmed and dealt with European teams, the rest of them are just doing try and error. There next match is Canada, they were responsible for falling of South Africa but it will be hard for them to eliminate Morocco in this world cup. I'm seeing this team reaching to final where they can meet with Argentina on that day.

Germany and Netherlands are out of WC after losing at round of 32. I remember so many people here were saying they'ere top nations, but the fact those nations are only strong on paper, but not in the pitch. So i think this proves that how football from the different continents are also improving a lot.
It's possible we're seeing all of top candidates from EU to leave earlier than what we expected.

Even Kimmich has said it on his post interview if his team is not even playing good against ANY opponent. This proves that they're basically playing badly from the start. So i think the european football quality is regressing a lot.
So no more domination being made by european nation. This is what i like when any continents are starting to be very competitive.

So lemme guess the winner from this WC is most probably from Africa or South America.
